Buy a laptop with i7 processor, 2GB dedicated graphic card, would be sufficient for AutoCad. For video editing I cannot recommend, still I feel the above specs should be sufficient.
If you are buying a new laptop then go for one which has dedicated graphic card of at least 2gb. If you already own this laptop then go ahead and download autocad ....you will be able to do drafting for smaller sheets. It will start lagging if you use it for long time or make complicated large sheets.

I think AutoCad should work on ryzen 5 3400g. I haven't tried it so hard to say how smooth it works. Best way to find out is to download the trial version from autocad website and see it for yourself. Generally if you use AutoCad for longer duration like 3 to 4 hours, it begins to lag otherwise there is no issues with decent processors.

Hey Mohit, It will work in 4gb ram but the experience will get a bit glitchy after couple of hours of use or if you are having couple of other applications opened. If you are using it for just an hour or so once a week then there is no problem but if you are using it for everyday then it's good to invest in a bigger size ram
I have 8 GB ram and i5 processor with 1366x768 display. It becomes slow. Go for at least 16 GB and 1080p display with i7. Nowadays you can easily get this spec at 70-80 k.
Hey Amit, I think it will work smoothly. I have Intel I3 proceasor,2.3 GHZ with 1GB dedicated graphic card and it works fine for me for smaller designs.
