1:30 That loco was built by MAVAG in Budapest, Hungary, in 1947, for Yugoslavia as a "war reparation". In Hungary this type was known as the 424 and was built from 1924 to 1958, last one retired in 1984. Two are still operational and sometimes haul nostalgia trains.
I would happily donate money to restore the locomotives. It would be great to see them used for special trains such as enthusiast tours around the former Yugoslavia. That would be a really good holiday option for tourists

Now train to Novi Sad run at 200 km/h, it is only 30 min ride. In november 200 km/h upgrade will be completed all the way to Hungarian border (Subotica).
Could we not save one of those 3 ML2200 diesels by sending her back to Germany to be restored as a V300 and placed in a museum? A second one could be restored to original JZ blue livery.
W 2020 roku odbyłem podróż pociągiem na trasie Bar - Biełoje Pojle /granica/ i z powrotem do Podgoricy. Nie spodziewałem się takiego kolejowego cudu techniki. Szczególnie , że przedtem duzo podróżowałem Kolejami Szwajcarskimi , Norweskimi jak również dawną koleją brzegiem Bajkału w Rosji od stacji Bajkał do Sliudanki / ponad 100 kilometrów/. I Jakie zdolności wykazali jeszcze Jugosłowiańscy projektanci i budowniczowie . Ile odwagi wykazują obecnie kolejarze eksploatujący tą kolej na terenie Czarnogóry podobnie do tych w Norwegii i Rosji . Podziwiam Czarnogórzan za ich skromność i gościnność ! Pozdrowienia z Krakowa z Polski !

Вообще обидно что В Сербии такой кавардакс железными дорогами и что некоторым пассажирам не хватило места в автобусе - ужасает!!! Что до происшествий, ничего подобного на моей памяти не было, разве что изза аварии на жд поей поезд пришел к точке назначения с опозданием в 6 часов!
Sad you had to leave the train, in the UK our journeys seldom last so long, though there is one journey from Aberdeen to Penzance which takes 13 hours. That is the longest journey in the UK, it's about 774-785 miles. I have been to Serbia and I know I used the railway from the old Central Station, I recall the carriages being much higher than the platforms and at least you had a loo in that train. I just recall a hole in the floor! The new station looks modern and like some, I know in the UK, though you were right about the odd place for the power sockets. We use USB heavily in the UK now and in those seating areas, you showed, over here you can find USB ports. Often USB is on most trains now, but not always. Tito was not a good many to many, given his death rate, I am sure some would leap to his defence, but I am sure when he went a lot of people would have just wanted to forget about his leadership, hence the trains left to rot. However, if done correctly those trains could be made into a museum as long as it told the whole story of the man and did not leave out the crimes he was accused of. History should always be factual and clear to ensure the truth is known. Now getting those trains working again might be too much to achieve, though a lick of paint and tidying up the inside of the carriages could be done.

Интересно было бы пообщаться,я советский,ну потом российский машинист тепловоза,электровоза,водил грузовые и пассажирские поезда.Локомотивы на которых работал,по порядку: ТЭ3,ТЭП60,2ТЭ10М,У,МК,ЧМЭ3в.и.,Электровозы, конечно ВЛ80в.и.кроме Р,ВЛ60,даже сын на них работал(сейчас в Ласточках,переплюнул батю),ЧС4т,ЧС8, сейчас на пенсии ребята,ТЭМ2,ТГМ6 и ТГМ4.
Hi there, thank you for your video! I've taken the *bus* from Novi Sad all the way to Herceg-Novi, ME overnight, 13 hours - it was HORRIBLE. I didn't know about the overnight train two years ago. 😂Never again. I've also taken the fast train (and local train) from the new Belgrade station to Novi Sad. I love the new train station, it's so nice! It'll be wonderful when it goes all the way to Subotica, a city I've spent lots of time in as well. I do have a question for you: Why didn't your train from Belgrade go all the way to Bar? What happened? Thanks again.
Welp, the novi sad train station just killed 15 people in the front side collapse, the belgrade station, although built for 50 years, is regularly foolded at every rainfall, underground station flooded by rain, and just recently a huge slqb of mortar from the ceiling collapsed there, it's just blocked with a tape that part and buckets on the floor to catch the rain. Also i've heard that the steps, or the elevator steps are ankered by just one screw, and aren't safe at all, according to belgrade citizens. As i understand nor novi sad nor belgrade station have the usage licence, a confirmation that they past all the inspections and are safe to use, as i understand they operate in the grey zone with some temp licences, or rather operates, the belgrade one does, novi sad main station is closed for passengers as the platforms are also found unsafe as is the building itself, so you have to travel from the smaller station outside the city center. So there's that.

I couldn't believe it! I hadn't heard! It was such horrible news! Just shocking. I realized a little later I had been in the exact spot twice during the summer. Those poor people! Those responsible should be in prison for life! As far as Prokop, I didn't know about those "irregularities" - geesh, what a mess.
@msjannd4 yeah, that's why those student protests are happening, opposition parties did nothing, and can't do nothing about it, and the people are sick of utter curruption, ofc they arrested some engineers, but main culprits the corrupt obes, from the government, from chinese, hungarian, and some 50 other crony companies were left untouched, so yeah the people are pissed off rightfully so. And it's not just the railways, everything they build or renewed is failing, ceilings are failing in schools, hospitals, police stations and municipalities, new overpasses and embankments are shifting and hurting people, but you won't find it anywhere in the news, the regime hokds everything bar two cable tv stations and couple of printed outlets, it's bad indeed.

Piękny dworzec w Belgradzie. I wielki kontrast z tym pociągiem który wjeżdza na peron. Właśnie tak by mogła wyglądać Warszawa Centralna, ale po co, łatwiej jest udawać że jest “zabytkiem” i nie można z nim nic zrobić.
Przecież nasza Warszawa Centralna wygląda o niebo lepiej od tego dworca w Belgradzie nie mówiąc już o ilości połączeń i liczbie pasażerów ! Poza tym mamy jeszcze podobną Łódź Fabryczną.
nic pięknego, wygląda raczej poniżej średniej, piękny to jest dworzec Hauptbahnof w Wiedniu. No ale rozumiem, jak się mało widziało.... W Warszawie buduje się dworzec Warszawa Zachodnia i już można powiedzieć, ze będzie znacznie lepszy niż ten w Belgradzie.

@@Doem9996take in mind that Belgrade station will have more passengers and connections when they finish upgrade of the 200 km/h line towards Budapest, that section will open in november 2024 so we will finally after few years have international trains towards Budapest, Vienna and Western Europe. Unfortunately for stupid politics trains to Zagreb, Ljubljana, Bucharest, Sofia, Thessaloniki are not running last 5-6 years.

Old depots don't have adequate protection so graffiti idiots easily spray those trains, police don't really care to chase and punish them. All new trains are without graffiti and they are cleaned instantly, but new trains are kept in new renovated depots with higher security.
Serbia is a failed state, nationalists wherever you are. So its no surprise, that their trainsystem is not on a normal standard of 2024 ! BUT: ur vid is very informative, especially the bluetrain documentation, thank you.
Government can easily find money to restore them and put into museum, but even Railway museum in Belgrade is in a small unadequate space and is a joke, state railway company simple don't care to preserve old heritage.

If the Serbian Government is getting in the posession of Tito s BLUE TRAIN, it is obliged to take care on it. This includes -beside the original train- as well one of the former V200 of the DB in museological condition. Otherwise the other former republics of Yougoslavia are to be called to keep it better!😢
These locos weren't V200s. These are the six axle variants of them, Krauss-Maffei ML 2200 C'C's. Only a few examples were built together with the stronger variants Krauss-Maffei ML 3000 C'C's, Krauss-Maffei ML 4000 C'C's.
Шедевральное завершение поездки🥴 Иногда мне кажется, что на Балканах живут самые отбитые в плане своих обязательств люди. На РЖД, скажем, такого даже в худшие годы не было. Ещё и автобус с меньшим количеством мест и текущей крышей, ппросто здОрово. Не любят товарищи сербы свою ж/д историю, что и говорить. Паровоз замусорен, локомотивы чёрти где гниют в сцепке с вагонами. Да, кстати, вагоны-то у Тито были "дорогобогатые", но в плане удобств вряд ли принципиально лучше тех, на которых Брежнева по СССР возили.
Вам кажется. Я застал и многочасовой мороз и в вагоне и на станции без туалета и вообще вокзала, из-за падения не спиленных вовремя деревьев на пути и КС, и вонь туалета в экспрессе на протяжении недель, и отсутствие компенсационных автобусов годами без чёткого объявления где их искать, и десятки минут простоя рабочих рейсов из-за белых людей в аэроэкспрессах. Это только то, что вспомнилось сразу. Были и аэроэкспрессы с текущей крышей. И уничтожение старинного оборудования, а с нулевых и вокзала на своей станции. Подмосковье. И закрытый без комментариев о его судьбе музей ЖД на Рижском.

Экспонаты музея на Рижской уже под крышей; тут вопрос скорее, когда современное здание в Лихоборах для них построят. Имевшаяся территория была очень условно музейной.
V200/BR 221 sind die größten Diesellokomotiven aller Zeiten. Die Deutschen konnten sie aus Griechenland importieren und renovieren. Auch hier ist ihr Eingreifen nötig, denn solche wunderbaren Wunder der Technik gehen verloren. Es ist sehr schade!!
dĺžka nie je uvedená správne, z Belehradu do Baru nie je 296 km ale 454,8 km, väčšina trasy je jednokoľajová. Z toho 277,6 km sa nachádza v Srbsku, 9,8 km v Bosne a Hercegovine a 167,4 km v Čiernej Hore.

I happened to go from Budapest to Pecs. 3/4 of the way by train- the rest by bus. But it was nice.

It was reported that railway repair works are underway in Montenegro. The railway is old so this can happen often. Thanks for your comment.

Наказаний на Балканах нет. Это вам не Россия. И в Болгарии все вагоны разрисованы графити.

It cost so much money to restore all those engines! Who will pay for that!? Maybe a private pocket!?
Government can easily find money to restore them and put into museum, but even Railway museum in Belgrade is in a small unadequate space and is a joke, state railway company simple don't care to preserve old heritage.
Belgrade Station looked like a less scruffy version of Birmingham New Street station 🙂 Fancy paying for 1st Class & having to share a bus with all the smelly riff-raff. Montenegro looked scenic, though

If the Serbian Government is getting in the posession of Tito s BLUE TRAIN, it is obliged to take care on it. This includes -beside the original train- as well one of the former V200 of the DB in museological condition. Otherwise the other former republics of Yougoslavia are to be called to keep it better!😢
These locos weren't V200s. These are the six axle variants of them, Krauss-Maffei ML 2200 C'C's.
Only a few examples were built together with the stronger variants Krauss-Maffei ML 3000 C'C's, Krauss-Maffei ML 4000 C'C's.

Шедевральное завершение поездки🥴 Иногда мне кажется, что на Балканах живут самые отбитые в плане своих обязательств люди. На РЖД, скажем, такого даже в худшие годы не было. Ещё и автобус с меньшим количеством мест и текущей крышей, ппросто здОрово.
Не любят товарищи сербы свою ж/д историю, что и говорить. Паровоз замусорен, локомотивы чёрти где гниют в сцепке с вагонами. Да, кстати, вагоны-то у Тито были "дорогобогатые", но в плане удобств вряд ли принципиально лучше тех, на которых Брежнева по СССР возили.
Вам кажется. Я застал и многочасовой мороз и в вагоне и на станции без туалета и вообще вокзала, из-за падения не спиленных вовремя деревьев на пути и КС, и вонь туалета в экспрессе на протяжении недель, и отсутствие компенсационных автобусов годами без чёткого объявления где их искать, и десятки минут простоя рабочих рейсов из-за белых людей в аэроэкспрессах. Это только то, что вспомнилось сразу. Были и аэроэкспрессы с текущей крышей. И уничтожение старинного оборудования, а с нулевых и вокзала на своей станции. Подмосковье. И закрытый без комментариев о его судьбе музей ЖД на Рижском.

Экспонаты музея на Рижской уже под крышей; тут вопрос скорее, когда современное здание в Лихоборах для них построят. Имевшаяся территория была очень условно музейной.

V200/BR 221 sind die größten Diesellokomotiven aller Zeiten. Die Deutschen konnten sie aus Griechenland importieren und renovieren. Auch hier ist ihr Eingreifen nötig, denn solche wunderbaren Wunder der Technik gehen verloren. Es ist sehr schade!!
dĺžka nie je uvedená správne, z Belehradu do Baru nie je 296 km ale 454,8 km, väčšina trasy je jednokoľajová. Z toho 277,6 km sa nachádza v Srbsku, 9,8 km v Bosne a Hercegovine a 167,4 km v Čiernej Hore.
