Makes me feel old, but also happy to see new arcade machines. No matter how console tech has evolved, they can't compare to the excitement and fun of the sounds of all the machines either being played, or their attract mode. Seeing new games come in and go out. Nothing like hanging out with your friends, eating greasy foods and sodas. The atmosphere was exciting, if you came in sad or down, those feelings wouldn't hang around too long. In moments you'll be laughing, or in awe of a new game. I miss it!

Nice video Ralph. I've talked to arcade owners and technicians. They say "full motion" arcade machines (like the "Fast and Furious" games and Hologate Blitz games in your video) are very expensive, and huge maintainance headaches.
The motion systems in the arcade machines are prone to breaking down a lot in a busy arcade, and can be expensive to maintain.
Another RUclips channel talked about the Hologate Blitz arcade machine (the VR game where you Drive the Ecto 1) actually breaking down repeatedly on the expo floor when he saw it.
He said if it's breaking down when it's brand new, then how would it stand up to an abusive arcade environment? Food for thought. It might be why Hologate didn't bring it to the expo in your video.
Don't get me wrong. Full motion arcade games are awesome. I ride them when I can. I just wanted to share the thoughts of some arcade business owners I've talked to.

FYI, the last one was a CAVE projection system. I set one up in my game room. You just need the space, warping software and away you go. 😁

Maybe the cost of a new high end gaming monitor. Stop being obtuse and think outside of your bubble buddy. You'll have more fun.

Anyone that focuses on social equality and non-violence (honesty) all across the board in all ways can never be a Christian. Religion is a head game to control women socially. Authoritarian (violent) men want women to feel inferior in the mind. This is jealousy, and it is unfair and unethical. Violence, anger, and aggression towards women doesn’t look good, so it is hidden behind an image of social Godliness. See Christianity and other religions for what they really are, and let them die out. End lying for good.

They may not look the same and the games may not be what we remember, but they're for sure not dead.

It was great meeting you at the expo Ralph (finally). I had totally missed the vrCAVE, although there is something just like it that was also there called QBIX. Those tri-screen gaming rooms are certainly gaining traction...
With the high prices of next gen consoles, arcades should make a comeback.
man I love seeing these amusement show videos with all the latest and upcoming arcade games and experiences! hopefully the mrs. and I can get out to the arcade here soon hopefully find some of these. Like the cruisn' style fast and the furious I heard about it sounds like a really fun one, we both loved the home port of cruisn' blast so it'd be cool to see the next generation of that one! also really cool to see all the latest in VR/AR-related stuff I admit I haven't used a headset like that since Dactyl Nightmare (and there was a sequel I forget the name of that was probably the last VR anything I ever touched, haha.) again some really cool stuff here some really great coverage, man!!

vr arcade games is a new area of games im excited to see what they do with them in the years to go nothing like your classic arcade games something everyone who likes arcade gaming should try any of the vr arcades
damn i remember 4-6 token games back in the day, what will these arcade cost to play $5 a credit?
Depends on the operator, that's all variables they can control. But... these games do cost significantly more than what we paid to play back in the day. Some of these games cost $15,000+ easily so to even pay the game off, operators need to charge top dollar. Crazy but that's why you see these in the places like D&B that have deep pockets. You also see a lot of people pick them up used instead of new to save on acquisition costs. Anyway... thanks so much for watching and awesome commment!

@@TiltingT I can't wait man, I asked my distributor, and they say I "should" have it by the end of April, fingers crossed! I still need to make room for it, so hopefully I can use the time to re-adjust the game room a bit to fit it in.
@RetroRalph I have noticed over the past couple of years that the pinball bug has bitten ya pretty good! Congrats on the new game. I hav3nt been able to work up to a new stern yet (got 2 kids in college) but currently have a Lethal Weapon 3, Last Action Hero, Mata Hari, Sea-Ray, and a Fireball I started In arcades and still have 5 arcade machines but play my pinball machines allot more... arcade machines are a gateway drug to pinball I think!.. Can't wait to see what videos you come out with when you get your Foo Fighters.. Thanks fir all the great content!
That Halo fireteam is how the original arcade should been. The Mounted gun didn't make sense to me sense 80% of the game, your "character" is on foot with an assault rifle
If Raw Thrills made an affordable non subscription based home system, they'd make more bank. Forced online requirements suck.
Some cool looking stuff. I went to an Andretti Arcade in Orlando and they had ghostbusters. The only issue for me was price (you have to buy a card for $25 and it’s like two games). Plus no classics? Did I hear you say you have another pinball machine coming? Can I live in your basement? I’ll only come out at night to play pinball!
Amazing Video Ralph! Again always cool to see you having fun with these new arcades. Again most this stuff I experienced in tokyo back in 2018. Still cool to see the Local USA getting in on the new stuff. But I am kinda curious if I went back to Japan. To see what else they have done now. I can only imagine what they have now in terms of amusement rides. Again love to have a Galaxy Force 2 or Galaxian 3. Just sucks these machines even for me are Lost in Limbo or now some collector have them locked away. Again just very happy to have what I have at this moment in time. Still on the look out for the Rare Games! or Unique ones. The more unique the better I say! :)

You should try a proper sim racing rig with vr or tripple screens, motion and haptics, I think youll like it! And might end up spending a bit too much money on it... You have been warned ;)
Any suggestions on where to start, I haven't ever really looked into that but I like the idea.

There are no arcades anymore. Where do they plan to sell these machines? Even the barcades seem to cater mainly to retro arcades and I'm guessing these new arcades are cost prohibitive.

It’s weird to see games like Asphalt 9, MotoGP, and Halo as actual arcade machines. We live in a wild timeline.

Doesn't Midway make arcade machines anymore. They were the king of the arcades in the 90s and early 2000.
Ever hear of a game called Killer Queen? Dunno how new it is but for the life of me can't figure out how to play it. Reminds me of a Nintendo duo cab.
Killer Queen Black’s servers shut down a while ago. Sad but people definitely do know what Killer Queen is/was
@@NALTOHQ it showed up at the local bar arcade.. up to 10 people can play. I tried it could not figure out how to play it... it looks like a joust clone. Ill stick with star wars (1983) and pac man... less complicated.
The problem with these machines the high cost that you’ll never make back
Unless you're Dave and Busters or Main Event or some larger FEC, I totally agree. Mom and Pop shops would sink if they bought games this expensive, that's the unfortunate part for sure. It limits who can really offer these games on location outside of the big boys.

These new games look like a lot of fun, to bad that in the UK this kinda thing is still so thin on the ground, nothing like this anywhere near me that I`m aware of, just one or 2 small/medium retro arcades within a 100 miles or so but I already build my own fancy cabs that do all that anyway ..... sheeesh
Even when I was a little kid, I thought that arcade games were a scam. The amount of money it costs just to play one game which could be over in 20 seconds just never seemed fair. Arcade games should be charging you for the amount of time you want to play them. Charging per play is exploitative. It's like gambling except you can't win back any of your money. At best you can just "win" by performing better and being able to play longer before you have to put more money or tokens into the machine.

Amusment Expo International, it happens every year in Vegas. I attend every year and do a rollup video of most of the vendors. Well, at least the arcade and pinball based one. I avoid the ticket redemption stuff as I'm not personally interested in that.
Who goes to a arcade nowadays its 2023 you can play games in your phone,console or PC at home

I register under my business name RetroRaph, LLC. But I think anyone can go as long as they pay for the tickets. It’s mostly manufactures, Arcade owner / operators but they’re typically not very pressuring… it’s annual in Vegas. It’s like a much smaller version of IAAPA that’s held in Florida each year.
Cheap Thrills is just a glorified cell phone/mobile game, they're always trash, sorry.
