- So I am so proud of myself that I reached 1000 watch hours, but I still have 3000 watch hours to go til I am able to reach monetization. I'm grinding on RUclips by uploading more videos. I'm trying to figure out how to complete 3000 watch hours on youtube.

Im also trying to het more watch hours but Ive noticed its all in the editing. For example
Dont Reapeat the same sentiment over and over
Subtitles keeps views engaged during longer clips
Zooms always keep visual Attention
Sound effects force the viewer to pay attention
Memes in the video keep views entertained
I also love using muisc to set the tone and change the mood within my content
I agree! I know memes and the zooming in and out keeps people's attention for sure! These are some great editing tips too! 💕

@@thestylistandy8962 Shorts or long form? I know shorts can hurt your algorithm because shorts subscribers won't normally watch long form content. So when RUclips pushes your video out and if you have mostly subs from shorts... if they don't watch, RUclips slows down pushing your content. I actually started a whole new channel because of it. I just started posting 3-7x a week long form myself and this is the most I've ever grown with subs, watch hours, and views.

@@thestylistandy8962 Honestly I would do one or the other like either have a mostly shorts channel or either have a mostly long form channel. Or make shorts videos that some how connect to your long form content so people can go from watching the short to watching the longer video.
