Jari Mäenpää lead singer guitarist is mastermind behind the band and whole band started as his soloproject when he had to leave from his previous band Ensiferum (great band also 😉) because Wintersun was taking too much time.
Other guitarist is Teemu Mäntysaari, Jukka Koskinen plays bass and Kai obviously is drummer 😄. Kai has now a lot of work in Nightwish so there's couple drummers replacing him. Jari stopped playing guitar and they hired other guitarist Asim Searah.
I would like to suggest you to react Death and Healing from Wintersun album. There is also one song from Time album and from the same rehearsals Land of Snow and Sorrow. And of course Forest Seasons album as a whole: Awaken from the Dark Slumber (Spring), Forest That Weeps (Summer), Eternal Darkness (Autumn) and Loneliness (Winter) all official lyric videos. There is few to react. 😄
If you need to cry and feel your whole specter of feelings, just listen to this song. The most beautiful song i have heard in ages period.

You should definitely check out their debut album called Wintersun. The songs are shorter and easier to "understand" I'd say. Battle against time, sadness and hate or death and the healing. One of my all time favorite albums. I really like your channel. Keep it up dude.

Insomnium - Pale Morning Star is an absolute masterpiece. And if you pay attention to the lyrics, incredibly emotional.
Great reaction to this masterpiece! You have to check out Loneliness (Winter), one of the most emotional songs ever recorded.
There's also third song from the Sonic Pump Studios rehearsals. Land of Snow and Sorrow. Slower and bit more melancholy song but beautiful. Very much worth to watch. Then from Four Seasons album Loneliness (Winter) is absolutely beautiful and if you would like something more Black Metallish then I would recommend the Autumn song (Cannot remember actual song title right now)

Kai said in an interview that they played four songs in a row, and all in one go, as they were live. The last was "Sons of Winter and Stars", so no wonder Kai was sweating at the end on that one. Epic performance on this too.
Wintersun, together with Nightwish are my fav bands. Both have really talented musicians. And in Wintersun Jari Mäenpää means same than Tuomas Holopainen to Nightwish. Composer, lyrics.
Wintersun has released 3 albums and these two songs what you have reacted are both from their second album (Time 1). Album has only 5 songs and three of them are done also in this live rehearsal way. So, if you do that last one, "Land of Snow and Sorrow", then you have heard more than half from their second album. :) This song is very different than those two others. And also shorter.
This album Time 1 was released 2012. And their first album (Wintersun) came out 2004. Originally, Time 1 should have came out 2006, but it delayed many times. And then 2012 should have came out Time 2 album, but it has not yet came out. Even Jari have many songs for it. But he is not satisfied studios what we have. In a way he is perfectionist. And if there is no studio where he can do everything what he want to put on album..., well, it will be delayed.
When we still wait Time 2 album, Jari made their third Wintersun album "The Forest Seasons". That was released 2017 and has only 4 songs, in order Spring > Summer > Autumn > Winter. Every song has that season´s mood. But one special thing in this summer song, "The Forest That Weeps (Summer)", there is male choir, which consists 20 Finnish male metal musicians! That you don´t hear often!
If you liked Jari´s guitar solo, you can hear good one in a song "Winter Madness".
And very similar in "The Way of the Fire". This song is not yet released in album, it will be in album "Time 2". THAT second guitar solo... :D You can look this song from here: ruclips.net/video/cGglkvA2OBg/видео.html it is take from audience, so sound quality maybe not best (quite ok). And who ever took it, know the song cos he/she zoom to Jari´s hands in that second solo. And of course, Kai´s drums, he is a beast there!

Yes they really are in a class of their own. No need to feel sorry for Kai for his hard work and sweating and all that, he loves these complicated passages where he can bang on as much as he wants. It's not someone else's drum track he is playing, it was he himself that figured out how it should be.
I discovered Wintersun not that long ago myself thru another Reactor (Millie Mossiae) but believe it or not, just some 20 mins before I got the notification of your upload I bought the 'Time I' album, waiting for it to be delivered to me now.
I have seen Wintersun's music being described as folk metal, melodic death metal, power metal, neo-classical metal and black metal, not as in "Take a pick" as per usual but all of it at the same time.
If you want to see a bit more of Kai Hahto - In this video he explains a couple of passages in another Wintersun song, the one in your previous Wintersun upload I think. Don't mind the "Video No Longer Available" start screen, just click Play and it will show up just fine (8min 30 sec)

Awsome reaction! I love Wintersun! You should try one of their first album or if you want something different, listen to Loneliness (Winter) from their last album The Forest Seasons
It's probably about time you checked out a band called Vektor, specifically their song "Recharging the Void". The musicianship is on another level and, specific to that song, there some surprising elements incorporated that you might not expect coming just from hearing the start of the song.

The guitar solos are sick on this one!
Yeah you really should check out something from the self titled debut album. The guitar work is just insane... Jari played all the instruments himself besides the drums. (Kai did the drums on the first album too). The song "Death and the Healing" has one of my all time favorite guitar solos. I would suggest either that or "Starchild".
I don't think there are any good live versions of the songs so you should listen to the album versions. (There are lyric videos of remastered 2.0 versions on Jari's channel)

"Beautiful...but heavy... but uplifting" - YES! I love, love this band. Winters (no pun intended) can be difficult for me, I struggle to get up and rush in the mornings, and often get melancholic. This music helps me through that - they sound how I feel 😂
