When Jari puts these songs together he plays and records all the instruments himself except drums which are digital, So the backing tracks are huge. Then when he’s ready to tour live he finds the musicians who can recreate his music, hence the play throughs at the studio. Kai was the only drummer he knew that could play live what had been done by y drum machine 🥁🤯🔥. Kai is now drummer with Nightwish since 2015 and the bass player Jukka also recently joined Nightwish as session bassist to replace Marko. Wintersun discography is not huge as Jari takes a long long long time to get everything together. The Time album was in the making for nearly 7 years, but the albums that are available are awesome 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🇬🇧
Also at the beginning he struggled with the computers! They could not stand the amound of data, so they would "freeze" on stage! That issue is now in the past, and he does'nt have to be concerned anymore 🤗

First, I really enjoyed your reaction. We all have favorite songs and Sons of Winter and Stars was mine until I heard Time. Now, I am 71. I have played drums since I was 10. In my prime, when I was playing in cover and blues bands, I could not touch what Kai brings to the drums. Anyone who reads this that is not a drummer go back and watch the video around 4-5 minutes in. Kai switches in the middle of a section from being right hand dominant to left hand. This is what I mean. I am right hand dominant. That means I play the ride cymbal or the high hat with my right hand and the snare with my left. But since the high hat, and maybe a second ride or a china cymbal are on my left side I have to bring my hand across my body. Kai simply goes the heck with that, I will just use my left hand on the cymbal and my right on the snare. In the middle of a section. Without being a millisecond off the beat. That takes years of practice to do. The man is a human machine gun on the drums. I am in awe when I watch him.
This track just leaves me in stunned and in awe every time. One of if not sometimes my favourite track by anyone anytime. For me the passion in the vocals on this one are second to none. Just glad you found them. Not everyone does.

To do a proper reverse delay you need to record two tracks exactly the same, then, reverse one, apply the effects that you want, and reverse it again and layer. Something along the lines of that thinking should get you some of the effects you're looking for. Also, crazy as it may seem Teemu is actually the better guitar player between the two. Listen to the sweeps during the second "solo". Clean AF. And the first couple minutes of this are actually "Darkness and Frost", which is a separate track to "Time", but they are performed together here because that's how it is on the album. Also also, use "j" to go back ten seconds, "k" to pause, and "l" to go forward ten seconds.
They have no keyboard player, everything comes from backing tracks. Jari has said that they would need at least 8 keyboard players so it's easier this way :D Also, this is my favorite Wintersun song. Slightly above everything else, since they don't have any bad songs.
Its the same thing as by Nightwish, all people who make reaction videos, told about Jari or Toumas, about Floor and Marco but nobody say a worth about Jukka the bassit by Wintersun, or Emppu the famous Gitarrist by Nightwish why?
