You passed right by my walking spot along the Hudson River in Croton. That Amtrak train you were on is always so loud when it passes. FYI, there’s good hiking trails around Cold Spring, which is the town just to the south of where you shot the old Bannerman’s Castle on that little island.

You always make me laugh, thanks. Glad you arrived safely. I enjoy your philosophical forays about your life views, they often awaken things that are deep in my past but shouldn't be forgotten. Since Covid-19, I also cut my own hair now, LOL. My Mom was a hairdresser so I was spoilt as I grew up. Still its difficult to use scissors looking in a mirror, sometimes I just close my eyes and do it by "feel", and I'm happy usually... or I wear a hat. ;)
Haha Dean, same here! My dad used to cut my hair (although he’s far from professional) and since the pandemic I do it my own.

How early ahead do you apply for the volunteer programs ?
Hey Luis!
There are some programs (mainly in highly demanded places like Paris or Hawaii) that are booked 3/4 months ahead. But there are many openings where people are needed asap. When you start researching for places the platform tells you how likely you are going to be accepted based on the employer's previous activities. For this program, for example, I applied 2 weeks before and this was not the only option I could do. The website does not allow you to apply for a position earlier than 6 months.

I really recommend them and I think it’s the safest platform on the market. I subscribed for other similar platform a year ago but once I needed their help and they never got back to me so I didn’t feel safe. Worldpackers reply in few hours and the website is very clear and intuitive so I really recommend them.
Also, I know quitting your job is not an easy thing to do 😢
