Appreciate you for the video! I’m ready to make the jump. Almost 40, single and no kids. I just want to make a better impact on the world by helping others. I don’t care about money anymore just want a better experience and learning more about those beautiful world. 🙏🏼
You got it! I hope you've made the jump (or have made progress towards it) - I know how intimidating it can be, but the first step is always the hardest.
you are literally telling my story here....first time world traveler--almost 40..no attachments ( besides my dog ) to the states and ready to fulfill my hearts desire..WHICH IS TO SEE THE WORLD WHILE MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT. i have no idea what that looks like yet but ---thats part of the beauty. safe travels to you and thanks for sharing your message
so your video is the first ( OF MANY I am sure) on my search of volunteering/work exchange travels around this beautiful planet. I have so many questions on solo travel as a woman, how to MAKE MONEY while traveling, and just tips on how to make it the best experience possible. You were lovely, articulate, informative and smiley in your video and I appreciate all those things! to put it bluntly .... i wasn't bored watching this video ( it happens often due to ADHD!) thanks also for the discount on membership with Worldpackers...any savings at this point helps because I am on a budget. many thanks and blessings...maybe one day we will cross paths. Namaste
HI there! This is incredibly kind - thank you so much for this heart-warming comment! I'm so glad I could be helpful & also keep your attention ;) I'll likely make a video soon on how to make money when traveling - I know it's a huge pain point for many people and there are often more options than initially meet the eye...stay tuned & namaste!
This was incredibly useful! Any tips for budgeting? If I am only English speaking traveling solo any safety tips? When traveling from one host family to the next, what tips can you offer for planning the transportation to the next destination? If you’re simply volunteering can you go to Italy for 3 months then Sweden for 2 months and if so how do you avoid deportation? I’ve heard volunteers don’t need visas as long as you have a passport, however if you start making money what tips do you offer for work visas?
Thank you so much! I absolutely have budgeting trips - happy to make another video on that. Anything in specific you'd like to see? And you should be okay being only English speaking! Learning basics is a general important rule of thumb, but overall, most places will be accommodating - remember that a smile can go a long way. And it'll depend on your passport - different passports have different abilities in the Schengen zone.
Great question! It isn't completely necessary, but it can definitely help. Certain roles are more competitive than others, and for those, I'd recommend a bit more than just the standard application!
Hello :) is it possible to do both the solo travel Option and the duo travel Option at the same time within one account? I am going to travel with a friend most of the time but we also want to do some Things separately as our interests in projects differ in some points!
Once you find an experience that interests you, you can message the host directly! I recommend reaching out directly to Worldpackers' support if you're having technical issues.
@@ShivaShakti4488 The maximum time through Worldpackers (the platform) is 3 months (typically), however, upon arrival, volunteers often can negotiate with the place they're working to stay longer! Remember that this won't be through Worldpackers, so you would lose their protection. But if you enjoy the job, it's worth asking! Just make sure to check local visa requirements to make sure you're able to stay.
Good question - travel insurance is technically optional. I know some travelers prefer the peace of mind, others are willing to risk it. Overall, it's a personal choice - different plans cover different needs and you can look into individualized plans to figure out what might work best for you. Worldpackers itself provides 'insurance' (depending on the plan you choose), should the volunteer opportunity not be what you expected. They'll help you figure out new accommodation for a certain number of nights and provide reimbursement up to it - again, check out your individual plan to see what your exact details are, as it varies.

Wow nice, I'm at the same point! 37 and ready to earn what life has got for me! 😌 🎇

Hello my girlfriend can you help me??@globetrottersguidebook
I don't have any of this on my platform
Po zaplatení členského poplatku si musím ešte zaplatiť aj ten plán, či to je dobrovoľné? Na čo slúži?
Ďakujem za predstavenie stránky.
Good question - it's just a one time membership fee for the year! From there, you're able to apply to as many opportunities as you'd like.
Hello 👋 how can we get the academy certificates ?
Hi! Great question - you simply complete the required training through your Worldpackers account! :)
would you say that you should upload an application video or isnt it necessary to get accepted?

Hi there! I believe you would need separate accounts for each!
I joined and paid 100$ and can't figure out how to contact host

Hi there! Yes it is - you can still use it for $10 off :)
P.S. It's GLOBETROTTERS
@@globetrottersguidebookawesome! thank you so much!
is there a way to actually live in a certain country that you enjoy thru worldpackers & find a job that pays ?
Worldpackers is all volunteer opportunities, so there won't be any paid jobs available.
@@globetrottersguidebook is it possible to stay at one place longer then 6 months or a year ?

Did you get a travel insurance? And is it mandatory?
I think the app provides insurance
