Cheers Garnett, Need to sort out the guidescope next. thinking of doing a side by side with my spare 60/280 guidescope instead of this small miniscope.
@@DavesAstrophotographycheck out the Astro-Hutech Hinode. I’m thinking of guiding using that or moding a guide scope with mylar and using LuSol. I’m finding that high magnification that a good polar alignment isn’t enough.
very nice, just wondering why you use such thich solder and why you use tubs of flux and not solder with flux running through it? I have been soldering for over 50 years now and find flux built into solder so much easier, keep up the good work
For what I was doing, it was just what I picked out the drawer, I do have thinner, but just habit I guess, depending on what is being soldered, that initial kick of flux can be a benefit...again just habit!
Nicely done👍Funnily enough I was modifying my dew heater cables as well last weekend to make them shorter. Loving the Lunt scope, I keep thinking about getting into solar imaging to have something to do during the summer months.
Excellent video - that has given me the inspiration (and the instruction) to shorten mine as well.
Cheers, I've got the Edge11 rig to do next!
I like what you’ve done. It’s really interesting to see other creative directions with this scope.

Dave, Where do you get the RCA4 plugs from?…I’m having a nightmare trying to find a supplier.
I got them off of Amazon.

Yeh, being able to do something during the day is good for keeping occupied, especially being in sunny Cyprus!
