The free for all after post game content was really fun too. I’m surprised more types of tactics RPGs like these don’t exist anymore, that take after this early nobunagas ambition style.
This is one of those games that you feel like never gets old, I've had 300+ hours in Pokémon Conquest and STILL didnt beat the game, STILL have fond memories of, I'll probably pick it back up if i dig through my childhood box, the game was easily one of the best NDS games period, after Pokémon BW2, Dinosaur King, and Fossil Fighters Champions.
I miss pokemon actually trying with their side games. Really the only recent one is pokemon snap 2. We need a conquest 2, more mystery dungeons, pokemon ranger, pokemon stadium, titles that actually have love in them.
It's not that the spin-offs are soulless trash, it's that they don't make as much Pokemon spin-offs anymore. You can blame that on the fact that Nintendo no longer makes two separate consoles anymore; one for home and one for handheld. The fact that Nintendo only makes one console nowadays significantly limits the amount of Pokemon spin-offs.
Agreed. People, please, enjoy whatever you want to enjoy but as part of a balanced daily meal plan. One of these at lunch may just be the boost you need to see though to dinner, but dont replace every meal with it. Balance your diet
I actually ate meal replacement only for whole year and half and it improved my mood and health a lot actually. Back then I did have the depression diet of bread and fast food so it was pretty easy to improve. But now years later I would still really recommend if you're having problems with eating healthy
I've been living off of it for several years with no issues, no deficiencies, no excesses. Bloodwork is good and I'm a picture of perfect health. Sometimes you'll rarely get a box that has prematurely spoiled product, though, marked by a peculiar smell from the usual batches. The FDA thinks it's nutritionally complete, and bioavailability is accounted for. I'm a chem major like Rob was when he founded the brand (& a microbio student); they're not gonna bullshit me about it. It's actually one of the best food substitutions on the market, especially for the price. Likely for liability, they don't suggest replacing every meal with it, only _any_ meal, as the slogan goes. Very early formulas had too much fiber, and their initial food bar run was a failure due to issues with vitamin A quantities in the food bar. Before the original Kickstarter, Rob nearly killed himself trying to get the initial 1.0 formula right (He was his own guinea pig). It's come a long ways. It also didn't originally incorporate any soy products, but it's now a cost effective source for the protein in the current formula (used to use whey for protein isolate). The name is a reference to Soylent Green. Food is just biochem, _but there's a lot of room for error in biochem if someone fucks up their numbers._
i got a 2ds around when the 3ds eshop shut down and was able to get some copies of older games i missed. i know i have a copy of pokemon conquest somewhere i’d love to play, but don’t know where my copy is and don’t want to pay for it at second market prices. so happy to be able to watch this video and experience some nostalgia!
I recently found my long lost copy of Conquest that I hadn't seen in 5+ years. Never had the time to hop on it until I watched this vid, and all of the nostalgia came flooding back. To me it was one of the greatest spin-offs not only mechanics wise, but story and even just playability. Being able to choose how you play and go at your own pace wasn't done nearly as much as it should've been back then. I really hope games like this and the Ranger series either get a sequel or remaster
My Top 5 Pokémon games 1. Pokémon Emerald 2. Pokémon Heartgold 3. Pokémon Legends Arceus 4. Pokémon Conquest 5. Pokémon Black (Honorable mentions: Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Black 2, Pokemon X, and Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs.)
This game is crazy expensive in Europe (it goes for about 200 euros in Italy) it's definitely a good game. Hate the fact that Pokémon games have become so crazy expensive 😢
I was told by a client at the retro game shop I work at that this game was pretty much fire emblem with pokemon, and I had to look this up because fire emblem is my favorite game series. Looking at this game play it's clear that it's true lol Can't wait to buy
If this game gets a reboot or a 2nd game hopefully they'll add fairy type to add more fun 😅 13:46 Evey character has at least 1 perfect partner tho some special characters have many perfect partners 😅
Pokemon conquest is probably my favorite pokemon to date right beside Legends Arceus. The character designs, the combat, story arcs, it was just all incredibly fun and felt like it had a lot of replayability to me as a kid. I got attached to one of the first basic warriors you can recruit, takatora. The post game was great too!
Thanks for this really fun and in depth review. Have you tried Disgaea? It’s the craziest strategy rpg ever and one of the most customizable games in general.
It's unfortunate that this game never went to the virtual console. I definitely would have grabbed it on WiiU before the shop went down, but I was disappointed to find it was not on there when I checked.
I tried this once years ago and wasn't digging it too much. But every month or so ill get the urge to play it so i will eventually, its definitely the type of thing I would enjoy it just starts a bit slow iirc.
Same. I felt it was too simplified for both Pokémon and Nobunaga, and wound up selling it back. But then every now and then I get the urge to try it again!
The post game is where it gets really good, I put probably 300+ hours into it total and playing through the main story now is a bit of a slog. Some of the post-game scenarios are quite tricky and more engaging.
Played out all the kingdoms with pokemon that i liked and ended up stop playing after halfway through the ones i didnt favor, story was interesting and gameplay was hella fun, the tower u had to dodge lighting was tough for my dragons
this game is quite underrated Link is a decent mechanic It made warriors are worth to collect this even could explian why the main series most trainer just master one or two types because most trainer had their limits in types except protagonist just there still some cons it has a bug if pokemon is out of the map may cause unmovable or invincible also if emery too over level it's really unbeatable also make it opposite you can make only one over-level and high morale warrior to sweep everything and less the warriors each battle the more link you gain this game still need further polish but it's a fine try Pokemon need some STG
I bought this in japan several years ago when it had just released and wasnt out internationally. I didnt know japan games were locked to a japan ds so i was so disappointed that i couldnt use it. Just recently, i opened it up for the lols and saw that there was a free promo shiny rayquaza pokemon card inside 😫
Since your into JRPGs, you should check out the mother series and especially mother 3 if you haven’t already, I personally would love for you to make a video on it
I didn't like this very much due to each Pokemon being limited to one move instead of a set of four like in the main games. I pre-ordered it, and wanted to love this because I loved the Koei strategy games, and enjoy Pokemon.
@@tumultuousv Perhaps but allowing the player to customize the move sets is IMO a very large part of Pokemon. Its hard to do that when limited to one move.
I really need to know for certainty! Does this game work on a Nintendo 3ds XL? And if so, where can I purchase this game for a reasonable price? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Conquest will always be one of my favorite Pokemon games ever, if only for the fact that mah boi Crobat is borderline broken in this game. Shadow Dash + Cross Poison will just destroy everything at breakneck speed if there isn't a single steel type opponent in the map.

Possibly Pokémon’s BEST ERA

Pokémon conquest was my first ever Pokémon game, but last time I played it (about 10 years ago) I was way better than I am now (I was 4 at the time.)!
I loved this game, beat it twice, the trick to defeat Nobunaga was to get a Glaceon and a Garchomp for Oichi during the main story.
