Yes, completely possible, but they'd ideally need their own individual volume control as passive and active pickups typically require different values of potentiometer.
@@heaththompson3834 As far as I know, James mostly uses his signature Het-Set from EMG. They're purely active. Where did you get that about his lespaul?
awesome guitars with absolutely stunning finishes. specs aren't what id want. you should check out the Ibanez RGRT621DPB. it has the same pups but is neck though with reverse headstock
Well I'm thinking about getting the rgew521ezw and really like the look of the one I'm eyeing up with a blonde streak running down the center .... BUT then i seen an sz720 with locking tuner pegs and active emg pickups with a hard case for 30$ MORE .... I ALWAYS liked the sz and own a 320 NOW ..... But I'm liking the nyatoh body and roasted maple fretboard on the rg .... Not to mention the sz is a heavy 9+ pound chunk of mahogany ( ONE of the factors i like about em lol) but I'm thinking about getting something lighter without compromising TOO much sustain and depth ..... I'm definitely leaning toward the rg ..... But that sz720 is probably a better value for the money lol .... I'm stuck lol
The ash body from the second ibanez is beautiful, but for me it's a dealbreaker if I can see where the parts were put together in the grain of the wood. It's inevitable but also would bug me out for ever if I would buy it.
Wow that ash RG is sooo beautiful
That RGA60AL is a beauty. You might have just set me back another few quid.
Loved the natural wood. Also been digging the tone of the Ironheart for a while now. Considering picking it up.
If they don’t give you a signature guitar they are wasting your time
They oughta give him a natural finish Xiphos
@@zoinkiezz If they still made them but.... they don't anymore, just like a few other cool models they made *Cough* Talman *Cough*
I love the shapes drawn by the ash wood but it's a bit to glossy, I like natural wood with a mat finish. But still, extremely beautiful
The weight and the glossy finish are the only things I didn't like about it. Otherwise an excellent guitar.
Seriously!!!! Gloss finish on anything other than strats is a no no in my book XD
I think I came when you pulled that first one out, gotta go clean my pants.
#pause
Nice guitars. Just something about wood grain...makes me happy😉😁. Thanks Colin!
Man, so nice looking guitar, what product can I use for maintaining this beautiful finish? Thank u so much ✌️
Hi Colin...the first one has no whammy bar capability??
Hey Colin, would it be possible to put an active pick up, and a passive pick up in the same guitar?
Yes, I used to have a JB in the bridge with an EMG 85 in the neck position.

James Hetfield has that setup in his lespaul. It took them awhile to figure it out

Absolutely gorgeous!!
SICK finishes!!! :)
Kind of... like guitars should look. Absolutly like them.
I was just looking at these online yesterday. I'm a sucker for natural wood and the Tone Zone is my favourite pup!
Beautiful axe's!! hope they hook you with one Colin😉

this guitar is giving me some wood of my own
Where can i find this beauty?
Ibanez finally making a cool looking guitar that isnt pink.
When are we getting the video of destructive upgrades on the flying v?
Stunning!
Ya’ll better be bringing out more CSFlute content on April fools

Spot on mate! 🔊 👽🚬 👍💨
For TATA's do I need a cab simulator when using headphones?
Spicy
Woah
Ibanez be like: you will go nuts on this guitar.
Hello there
Too bad of that red back color. Could have done with a brown-ish wooden finish instead.
The ash body from the second ibanez is beautiful, but for me it's a dealbreaker if I can see where the parts were put together in the grain of the wood. It's inevitable but also would bug me out for ever if I would buy it.
hehe birmingham smh my head
Wow yup.. thought so for a while now... features/spec to price ratio=excellent but they look like hell ffs 🤮
I love Ibanez guitars, but no. Reminds me of the hideous guitars of the 70’s.
