Am I the only one here who click the 👍 before the videos start???Thank you so much for all the great tutorials. First time commenting , but I've following your channel for a long time.💕
I've never tried stencilling but hopefully one day... I'll be sure to pop back and watch this super helpful tutorial when I do (probably multiple times haha). Now saved as favourite, thanks so much Tracey x x
Thank you I always had questions about royal icing but could never get them answered. Again thank you for showing me what royal icing really is my only question is can I get the Renshaw brand in the US. Sorry if I spelled it wrong I'm not too familiar with the cake world yet just getting used to the wonderful work done by you wonderful people who put out the tutorials for us to learn. I want you to know that just doing that helps so much and gives me hope that I'll be able to do something just by following your example. and you taking the time to do that is very much appreciate it cuz I can see that your life is just as hectic if not more as anyone else in any state or country. Thank you so much again and keep on caking
Sure, Renshaws is over in the US to buy, not 100% on the royal icing tubs, but I'm guessing if they do the fondant they will do that too :D x Thank you, that really means a lot. Glad to have you on my channel!
Great tutorial as always! You really have an awesome way to explain everything 🙌 I loved the white stenceling on the light gray. I sometimes struggle with gray. Some gel colours produce a blueish grey 😑 any recommendatik on which colour to use for a light grey like on your cake? Thank you ❤❤❤
Thank you! Yes I don't colour with gels, I make new shades by mixing sugarpaste with sugarpaste! I take a little pinch of black and knead it into some white :D x
I clicked the thumbs up button before the video started hahaha. Always love your tutorials! But I have a question for you, I bought some (quiet expensive)mesh stencils, and I don't mind the price....if they're working😓😖But these stencils give me a proper headache🙍♀️👎 Could you maybe give me some tips on how to use them so I'm not forced to put them in the back of my tool cupboards (were caketools come to die a slow but certain.....you know😂) I used bc, smbc, ganache....🤯 Thanks in advance and lots of love from the Netherlands, Tamara
ha ha thank you so much for always being a fab supporter! xx Hmmm I've not used mesh before, but I think they are made to be used with royal icing? Try this method but on that stencil and see how you go xx
Could you petal dust, or airbrush before removing the stencil so that you get a raised colored design? I am thinking like metalics where you wouldn't just color the icing... Thanks for your tutorials!
Hi can you tell me which cake recipes you use for your cakes and are they firm enough for carving 3D cake please I'm looking for a chocolate cake that I can carve can you help please xx
Hi! I use the regular victoria sponge recipe. I do carve this type of cake but it isn't the easiest, it still needs plenty of support - but I just prefer victoria sponge over more dense cakes. You can maybe try a chocolate mud cake recipe? Those are perfect for carving but take SO long to bake! lol
Little Cherry Cake Thanks for your fast reply yes I use Victoria sponge as well but find it a little soft for carving have used chocolate mud but as you say takes a lot longer to bake think I may try a Madeira anyway love your tutorials and your vlogs a fantastic love to you and your family 💞💞

You make it seem so easy! Thanks!
Thanks for watching Karrie!
Love this. Not done this before so can’t wait to have a go 🤞🥰
Stunning effect. I have a tub of royal icing might give that a try. I don’t have a steady hand for piping so this is ideal. Have a great week xx
Thanks Paula! Good luck :D x
Ooo always think stenciling looked great but always think it will be a faff! You made it look quick and easy x

YAY!!! Thanks for buying :D So glad you like it!
Wow you make it look so easy. Your stencilling is perfect. I didn’t have as much luck 😢 xx
Awww keep trying! Sometimes its just due to the wrong consistency, its a really tricky one to get right for different types of stencils!

Nice cake👌👌👌
Brilliant x
Hi, love your tutorials! It it ok to leave a fondant cake with buttercream out over night to dry if you have high humidity and no air con?
So very elegant. I love the white on gray (grey 🤔). Thanks for the tutorial girlfriend! XOXO from Orlando #CherryBrigade
Thank you! yes it's a lovely colour combo!

How do you clean the stencils? they look so delicate
Hi Beth, just warm soapy water and a soft sponge. The warm water just melts the icing away :D x
❤️😍
would this technique work on a buttercream cake?
Hi, I dont work with buttercream, but you may need to freeze it first otherwise it may squash the buttercream.
