The 2018 farm bill loophole is going to be closed. No more legal hemp THCA or 0.3% THC in seeds . No more sending seeds through the mail . Everyone should call their US senators and encourage them to sign on to Senate bill CAOA that legalizes cannabis at the federal level ! Read the CAOA bill online and call your senators !

Never plant seeds from a hermie, it's not the stress, it's just weak genwtics, those seeds will turn into hermies too

@@SamanthaMorris-de9qx go online and read the CAOA bill along with the 18 or maybe more by now that have signed on . Another thing , Congress is probably going to change the 2018 farm bill that will make it illegal to sell and send cannabis seeds through the mail . They want to outlaw 0.3% hemp THCA. Closing the loophole .

It's been a journey. Put on the Sowing Seeds Festival on 4.20.96 in Boulder Colorado. Staffed the High Times Hemp Fest Whee! festival in 1997 where Jack Herer first got medical cannabis on the referendum ballot and it passed.
Still quietly making history behind the scenes like I have always done, for 30 years now.
My genetics, I will never get credit for, are a labor of love.

Clones herm. Not all herm is genetically instigated. Plus all the seeds will be female because there is no Y chromosome to make the seed male.
A stress seed is your best friend growing. Light leaks you can do on purpose to make it throw bananas out.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can herm a clone, height can be controlled, and you're overall assuming the person buying the clone will do the same work. I grow my own seeds so this might be biased, but nothing beats seed vigor.

None of them are really backcrossing new strains hardly anyways. It's all select cuts of unicorns. They name it and it's not even as far as an F3!
Everything they are making is simply a pheno of strains we already bred into the early 2000's.
Everything they make today with some exceptions, like EQ Genetics, is really just an Afgan, a Thai, an American Sativa, and a Chem Brothers strain all bred together into similar varietals.
People are now beginning to hunt landraces like the Malawi one.

I 💚 clones. Seeds are easier to send to a friend. Clones might not grow as vigorously, but I’d rather have the sure thing vs a possible vigorous herm. Pheno hunting is something you pay for in a clone or with your time and space with seeds. Quality clones around here go for $20 each- get 2 or 3 and clone them. I’d gladly pay that vs $50 for a 5 pack of beans.

Who even gets on anyone’s back about how they grow? It’s my biggest surprise commenting is how some will go into attack mode over a f*cking plant. Nobody in the neighborhood has knocked on the door and told my wife her flower garden sucks because she (fill in the blanks). Likewise with my annual crabgrass killer, weed killer and fertilizer application. The yard is green and the weeds are gone and nobody cares how I accomplished the task.
Yet here I am literally being called an idiot for the way I grow herbal medicine. Do ya’ll think there’s any egos involved here with some folks? I just try to ignore the chatter.

Seeds are the way to go outdoors because of the volume. Clones are the easiest indoors with a perpetual flower garden. Every two months you are pulling ounces and ounces of quality smoke 💨
I get the fun of seeds though.
I will blow you away indoors though using clones while you are waiting for seedlings to veg enough to throw in the flower garden. Alot cheaper than seeds too. My opinion anyways.

I've popped seeds from about 12-15 packs and only found 2 I wanted to keep, well 3 because one of those 2 had 2 good phenos luckily.
If you're going to buy packs, buy packs you've heard good things about from multiple people who have actually grown it.
Testers are truly hit or miss, do the tried and true packs if you want to get good results, it's worth the extra $.
Buuut, if you are more interested in variety on your first few runs than growing a ton of one flavor, it can be pretty fun!

I've had an old timers that used to tell me that they used to take the stock after they cut it they would leave some on it and they would regrow it next year after about 10 years they really don't produce much after that but if you find one that does really good in your spot you dig it up and bring it inside and put it under a 4-foot fluorescent and I even had a friend that would just leave it. If it was a mild winter it'll really grow back next year I had a family member of mine that had one in a barn for almost 10 years they had a pile of chicken manure that had been rotting for 10 years that's basically the way they did things they would let manure Rock for 10 years they put the whole pile on it. That thing had a tree trunk for a base that was the last year that they wrote it and it took and grown outside of a barn almost 100 ft the limbs were laying on the ground it looked like a bunch of plants but it was just one massive huge plant when they took it down it filled up a tobacco Barn. Of course it was just personal and it probably lasted 10 years that one plant did

From seed is exciting but with klones you pretty much know what to expect and what your pheno can handle stress wise. But I wish I did have some beans like the rest of YOU

ive not had a crop for 8 months or more but ive dumped at least 200 seeds which i have destroyed because im trying to cram more plants into a small place with a short veg but it hasnt worked out i.ithink the best way to grow seed is veg at least 4 weeks in a 15 litre container..reduce the amount plants and grow 50/60 gram plants..ive never had more than 2.5 ounce off a plant because i probably dont take them to their full density for fear of budrot i guess..experimenting costs money but im gaining experience and ive been growing over 30 years..its cheaper for me not to grow if im honest..i only grow to make oil and cover my bills but i can get it cheaper online..so its become an hobby now..

Seeds are fun. Clones are consistent... hence clone. I can't imagine something more fun than crossing my own amazing plants I created with any and every amazing strain/cultivar out there and see what happens myself.

You can reveg a male weeks before he drops pollen powder and he still will.
But inside your veg tent Instead of flower tent.
Flower haze early to avoid longer flowering shorter.

I like to grow a few cycles of clones just to dial it in for reaching max potential, but I'm doing it for myself and it does get boring. I like the idea of having several strains to rotate through to add diversity, but I'm limited on space and like trying new strains. The big problem I'm having is with breeders selling poor quality seeds

Name or number a seeding find a pheno you like keep it and run clones of it simple .you can even do 2 clone and once it's got roots flower to see it so you can bin the males

I have one bud left from me "unicorn" I didn't know was a "unicorn".
NYC Diesel feminized seed stuck in dirt on Feb.1, cooked by LED light until mid April when I was smoking it. Not bad, but not much either.
I don't know where to get clones, so I stick to seeds.

Got spider mites from a store bought clone that I should have quarantined and cleaned up better so that’s my fault, but it took so long and so much cleaning to get rid of them that I swore I would never run another clone unless it was my own. I love growing big plants outside better than inside so I don’t use clones because of the lack of a tap root so they will never get bigger than a plant started from a seed. I will use clones to make seeds from strains I like. Everyone has different situations on where they can grow or what they prefer but for me nothing let better than seeing a huge 12 to 14 or even a 16 foot tree or bush. Looking at one of mine or someone else’s tent grows just doesn’t do it for me anymore even if they are nice plants with killer buds but everyone is different. I’ve had people tell me they never knew a plant could get so big because all they have ever done was grow indoors.

I don’t know anyone else in my small circle of friends who grows. Actually I can’t even think of any other regular users to get seeds or clones from. I’ve been pretty stealth and people were secretive about it prior to last August. For a lot of years it was all I could do just to find some to buy let alone be offered clones.
They tell me that clones come with the risk of contaminating my garden. Clones are an interesting option and I plan on seeing what I can find in saved bag seeds next winter run. I’ll get those going and see if I can luck out and find some females. If that is successful I may try cloning one of those.

Seeds have a more complex root system but once you find that one love that does good for your spot or your grow you're going to want to learn clones they have less Roots so if you're going outside it's going to be a weaker plant. They say clones are more susceptible to bugs outside

Add a couple drops of hydrogen peroxide to the water when you soak them. That helps older seeds germinate.

I think we’ve all grown an auto flower, and said Damm I’d like to have that around again. With photos and cloning, I take a couple clones in veg of each one of my 8 that I’m flowering, and it’s already rolling by the time I see if I have any unicorns, if I do great, if not all of them get pitched, whatever works for you is what matters though.
