    Watching you working on the floor reminds me of the Pakistani mechanics.

      Minus the dirt floor, cigarettes, busy highway 3 feet from the door. I have only seen 3000 lbs. transmissions rebuilt on the floor, it's kinda hard to get a workbench that can hold that much weight and you would need a ladder to reach it as it grows to 4 to 5 feet above the 4 foot high bench. Every Cat dealer I've walked through rebuilds them on the cement.

    By chance are you related to anyone from the C.a Rasmussen construction company? Love the videos!

      No, we used to rent scrapers to Charlie back in the day.
      I remember him landing his helicopter in our yard in Colton back in the late 90’s

      @@RasmussenEquipment that’s pretty cool I’ve herd a lot of stories about him flying around in the helicopter. I work for Rasmussen that’s why I was curious. Adam is the owner now but Charlie still comes around sometimes 👍

    How much does it generally cost for full rebuild of these? And is no prelube necessary for these or does it have pumped gear oil under pressure from start?

    • @RasmussenEquipment
      @RasmussenEquipment  Месяц назад

      Yes the oil pump is constantly pumping as soon as the engine is started.
      Depending on what failed it can cost anywhere between $8000 to $15000 in parts plus labor.
      Just to reseal this one with no parts needed it was just over $1000

      If you replaced every disc it would add another $5k or more

      I was guessing 30k born and lived on farm and did all our own maintenance and fixes not sure where all that time came from back then.

      @333mikeray back in 2006 we were too busy so we had the Cat dealer remove, rebuild and reinstall one they charged us $30k
      That was 18 years ago, I’m guessing in todays money that would be a $45+ bill
