See I thought about that too but then I realized some of these guys are just normal high schoolers with no special super powers outside of being very athletic which would basically result in a hunger games,dangenronpa, or squid games offshoot
for real life athletes a game of any sports feels like a death game just like how you play a competitive video game you lose you'll probably be disappointed and the anime is all about egoism to be the best you believe that you are the best, unlike other sports anime where we must win as a team but bluelock I WILL CRUSH UR DREAMS, for example Ronaldo he's a legend because he dose everything his self but sometimes yk he dose teamwork if it's needed, bluelock is just like that it adds action into sports
"I am on board for anything as long as this little weirdo gets to find love by the end" was exactly my thoughts watching this anime. I don't know why but for the first time ever I can kinda relate to that meme from Brooklyn 99 like, I have known Bachira for 5 seconds but if anything bad happens to him I will kill everyone in this room and then myself.
My first impression of Bachira was like "hey that sleepy little twink low-key looks like me I'm gonna latch onto him"... Yeah, so now I'm stuck with a gymnast possessed with a football demon as my favourite character
I hope Bachira and Isagi become friends because technically they're all competition to each other but I already love Bachira so much so I want him to have a happy ending and hope his unhinged energy stays consistent throughout the show

It seems to me that he knows team work is important but it needs to be balanced with individual players skills and since everyone is already ingrained into the idea of teamwork he is just leaving that side of the equation to them in favor of stoking the flames for the less already ingrained side of the equation.

The teamwork that Blue Locks wants to exhibit is not that kind of trust-believe one. When everybody is your rival, you begin to observe them more than a creepy stalker. Hence, you know their weaknesses and strengths and therefore allows you to make decisions in game without biases and prejudices. You know who to trust that will also deliver. Blue Lock is redefining teamwork.

I loved this anime so much that after episode one I read the entire manga up to current release, and Blue Lock honestly just gets better and better. It tops my charts now, actually a 10/10 show
0:35 I see danny's read the synoposis. "Pork cutlet" sounds a lot like "Win" or "Victory", so people might eat it for good luck or as a celebration of victory (or because they're sad and it's their comfort food because it's what they always got to celebrate victories)
