I think it's such a lovely, selfless thing you are doing here, showing everybody how u do the beautiful stuff you do, especially when you actually sell it yourself.. I myself just came across this kinda accidently & have no intention, nor probably knowledge/equipment to do it. But it is very interesting & stunning. So thanks for sharing :)
These are amazing! Smaller versions of these would make awesome pendants for jewelry.
Really like your calm, no nonsense no hype no music style. Much appreciated.
Hello Casey, your work is amazing, you know I work in jewelry, I make silver rings with gold for the lost wax system and your art has good applications for jewelry (the text I did with the google translator), regards, is beautiful your art.
Saludos y es hermoso tu trabajo, lo miré en los links, Feliz fin de semana
Hello men, amaizing micarta, increíble! Grettigs from Colombia, nice video, tks a Lot for sharing
I am feeling inspired after watching this and very excited to be getting a lathe this weekend!!!! :)
Michelle Lynn are you still using your lathe?
so how innit?
Those are beautiful! I love that red Maylee Burl with that intense red metallic resin! Beautifully done! Thank you for sharing. Many blessings on your Etsy store also!
Thanks Tracy!! I love how they look too!
@@CaseyMartin707 hi Casey, I am looking for some custom pieces. Should I contact you through etsy to discuss this in detail?
If i make it lika that too can it be made into a box mod vape?
Can you make a blank 1 1/8×1 1/8×10". And 1"×1"×5" transulciant neon green with stabilized burl light like maple or tge stuff in this video
I vape and these would make beautiful box mods, people pay lots of money for stabwood box mods...
If you ever want to make one let me know! I’d be more than happy to supply the material to you or someone capable of making you one.
02:07 Wow, how many times have a thought "when I mix my resin it's going to look cool like that" when I see a cool resin color transition. All the time. And when I visualize me mixing it's with a popsicle stick. You just saved me time and $$ not having to figure that out after 3-5 unsuccessful tries and still in the back of my mind thinking... I need to mix with straws or something lol. Thanks buddy!
I'm working on a project making a gun stock. No one have a gun. Stop made this way with borough with this work.
Is Their A Main Website Where I Can Purchase All These Resin Products To Start Making My Own Products?
Сам контейнер, где происходит формирование бруска, выполнен из фторопласта?
Hi Casey. Wonderful work. May I ask where you got these molds? Are they sillicone? Thanks a lot?
As I was watching I recognized them from etsy . I really like the white one. I have a question on this material. How thin can I cut this material? I need to band saw a block into 1/8 thick strips.
You can very easily cut it that thin. The Alumilite is stronger than most woods actually so thin cuts are practically the same. I’ve cut it that thin for knives a few times with no problem
I'm a new guy to this and was wondering where is the best place to shop for nice burl like your use?
Quick note from an Aussie (who happened to grow up in the region those burls are from), the soft-emphasis is on the 'Mal' in Mallee, like how the soft-emphasis in 'resin' is on the 'res'. Beautiful work, Casey!
I will have to listen to a correct pronunciation so I can get it right! Thanks for the tip Dan!
Wicked!! Those all turned out awesome, great walk through on making them and some great tips in there!
Thanks Zac!! They’re honestly some of the most fun blocks to make
Hey I'm trying to get into allumilite casting like this and I'm just wondering what's the difference of using dyes and pigments in your resin.
I don't have any grape vine or dry enough wood burles but I have a bunch of Y'S from small branches..
beach and white birch to be exact..
I had the idea before I stabilize them for casting to let some of the peices soak in blue dye..
Would it be easier to dye the birch vs the beach?
My idea is to dye half my pieces, leave the other half natural and use red alumilite... merica!
Sounds like an awesome plan brother! Honestly I have no idea. Whichever seems to be denser, and have really tight grain, is probably the one that would be harder to soak dye into. But that just means you can let it soak for longer. Good luck man!
Ok man.. I'll try dyeing the birch, I'll post up a video of my end result if it comes out decent lol..
On vacation. Hopefully we can connect when you get back.
Y brother used to sell burl blocks for high end fly fishing rods
The Alumilite link is now dead, can you tell me what you use?
The silver leaf looks absolutely beautiful.
Dope. Love the colors
These look amazing
What pigment colour name
Love the designs! Stimulates the imagination, Thanks!
where can i get burl from
Dude, I met your channel today, you fuck, I'll follow you and indicate, congratulations !!
could inform me the size and shape measurements for the manufacture of Alumilite.
thank you!
We are making resin jewellery..
Do you have site to purchase blanks for duck calls?
Thanks
Yes! Link is in the video description to my Etsy
Чудові роботи, вітання з 🇺🇦
Magnificent sir
where to get the wood from?
Amazing! Do you use a special blade for table saw?
I use a diablo ultra fine finish blade so it saves me time sanding, but the blade type doesn’t matter with straightness of cut as long as the blade isn’t bent for some reason. I emailed you back btw
great for knife handle blanks but only pen blanks on your website. boo hoo
I have a few on my Etsy, but am always making more
I don’t have a pressure pot. Can I still pore the resin and not get bubbles????
Yes just mainly only epoxies
Hm per block sir?
Super cool man!!!
these are Western Australian banksia seed pods . i feel you could do some amazing art with these
Great Video! Which Resin you use exactly..which pot-life and demold-time? And which pressure/vacuum-pot? thanks a lot! :)
Don't know if you're still reading this but i'll ask anyway: is there a reason that you're using a Pressure Pot for resin casting and a Vacuum Chamber for Stabilizing Wood? You can't do the resin casting in the vacuum chamber? And great video btw!
I’ll contact you now
awesome blanks they are beautiful can you share where to buy wood to make blanks of knife handle scales im new to this thanks Mark subbed and liked
Where do you fing your burl pieces for these blanks? Just curious. I want to give this s try.
Great video. You've got me wanting to do this.
I'm jelly
Mr. Casey, May you please tell me how you treat the burl before you add it to the resin? How is the burl "turnable" on a lathe without disintegrating? Thanks
Does anybody know if these can be cut to 1/4” - 3/8” thick pieces lengthwise,? On a bandsaw?
Are these pieces of burl stabilized previously?
All of them besides Australian burl. Australian burls are so rock hard they don’t benefit from it at all
So that's how beautiful stab wood squonkers are made!
Hi Casey, can you tell where is a good place to buy wood blocks, burls pieces, etc, not yet stabilized ?
I'm sure nyou know that you do great WORK!!!! how would you use it for Jewelry making and what are the pricing?
Nice Job Man! Also i have a question. Where i can find this kind of wood? Thkns!!
hola buen dia ,,,,,,,,
que tipo de pintura utilizas , de que marca y características son ????
Just went to your Etsy account and those blanks look fantastic!!!!!
Does the wood need to be stabilized before casting
If it’s really hard already, like Australian burl, no. But most can benefit from it
Would a vacuum chamber remove the bubbles also?
No it doesn’t work fast enough for alumilite as it starts to cure within 7 minutes
Do you have to make the mold form or do they sell one like that you can link me to
You can buy some from turnerswarehouse.com and other places!
Do you stabilize the wood before you cast them?
Did you stabilize the burl before adding the resin?
What are these used for? They look incredible, but do they have a use? 🤔
Are you selling those to ASMODUS
Not that I’m aware of. But I’m willing to sell these to mod makers! I have a few times
Now which one of these blanks was actually used to make that watch from that watch company
Amazing. What’s the size of each blank ?
Nice work my friend...What kind of wood you used?
cool...
Do you stabalize the wood first?
Yes besides Australian burls because they are already so hard they don’t benefit from it
Please friend. What are the measurements of your shape?
Can u make jewerly with those
Absolutely!
i want to order but im from philippines
I can ship there!
What to do to get rid of air bubbles huh friend
I put them in pressure pots, I believe I mention that
Great 👍🏽
What’s the name of the spray that u used after !?
!!!! Зурабишвили
Can you plane this type of material?
Yes you can plane it, sand it, and machine it any way possible!
Just wondering, If someone made a house out of this would rain from outside destroy them?🤔
Lol interesting question. But no, rain doesn’t destroy wood or plastic.
👷👍
when you cut the blocks after the come out of the pressure pot and the wood is exposed ,does the wood has to be treated after that or is it still surrounded by resin?
Nice job, one question do you use silicone mold for those?
Hello how are you I am from pk and I will connect with you through email am a painter wall painter wood painter that why I want to talk to you about it about this video and risen.
Добрый день, подскажите из какого материала у вас форма белого цвета,которой закрепляете на саморезы?
Very interesting! What measurements do you have for your moulds?
Maybe you could use a sifter for your powders.
What kind of material do you use for your form?
Outstanding color blending yet do sharp & clean looking. Interested to see your pressuring process.
Very nice
What is a block used for?
Making any type of handcrafted item out of!
What's the material you've used to make the moulds? HDPE bar?
Yes HDPE. I have a video on making them!
Would you be able to make a vape box ?
I could make the blank for it yes!
what are the approximate measures of the blocks ??? congratulations for the work !!!
Depends but if I utilize the full size of the mold they’re 6.5x2.5x2.5 inches
How much do you sell them for?
$60-$80 depending on material
Tenk og lage kjøkkenbenk i fine farver og i tileg tåler vannsøl og ser pent ut inne på ett kjøkken?
Very awesome! Where can I find wood like that?? Can you order it? Prolly a dumb question but I'm new to this just trying to find some interesting wood types
Yes you can online
I would one of those blocks on its own and just some rgbw lights underneath
Hey these are really good...
But i am a bit confused that what exactly these can be used for...
Do mind telling me please???
It’s for making things out of. They can be made into pens, knife handles, or anything imaginable
I like to see more knife blanks
nice video. Any chance you can share the link where you got your block molds? thanks
I make them myself. I have a video on how I made them!
is that wood stabilized wood?
I just bought a mold from maneater.com. I bought the knife scale mold and I liked it so much, Tom is making me a custom size for knifes.
Awesome. I make my own molds! Much more cost effective, but obviously takes time
