I've been taking an interest in Inbound Closing and sales overall, I have really no experience when it comes to the skill. But I believe that I can get a lot out of this.
Great video as always. I've been in sales for over 6 years now, and I'm finally branching out to open my own agency. Everything you mentioned about closing was spot on. I'm going through most your videos as refresher so that I can start off with a BANG! Keep making awesome videos, we're learning a lot.
Just shifted to sales, going 6 months now...from technical for over 12 years...ang im liking it...honing myself to be better as a technical salesperson...
I am about a little over a year into sales and did mostly door to door for other established companies. I recently got an opportunity to take a business development role for a close friends home staging business. There has never really been any sort of sales structure implemented except the occasional cold call here and there when business got slow but mostly threw the years the company has been thriving off of referrals and word of mouth. This is a new challenge to me because not only am I connecting with potential inbound prospects threw the website that offers a quick quote but now I am having to do some outbound cold emails and calling. Being new to the space in a sense of knowing the product and getting used to objections, figuring out pain points and so on there is not much material out there I can find toward my situation. This channel has helped me get a good idea in the direction I need to be going but I am still having some trouble with creating a structure that will take the company to where I know it could go. Although i still feel sometime the self-doubt of being I guess you could say a "rookie" in sales in general , I was wondering if you had any sort of direction or words of encouragement that could send me in the right direction. Thank you again for the channel it helps a lot and i binge the videos, taking notes and I always learn something new from each video!
Hey Zack, I appreciate you sharing your story. I can empathize with how challenging it can be if you're just starting your sales career but you're already given so much responsibility. In your situation, my recommendation is to first do research on how other home staging companies are generating leads. You'll want to find a method that works, whether it's cold calling, cold emailing, ads etc. No need to invest the wheel here. From there, it's all about generating more meetings every month. Focus on generating meetings, however you can, then you'll have the opportunity to practice closing. But if you don't have any meetings, there's nothing to close. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need help with anything else. And if you'd like, you can send me an email at patrick@patrickdang.com if you have more questions. I try to check my inbox when I can.
Patrick, great video there. I am actually new in sales but I want to go all the way into it and make it a career. I actually want to have a digital marketing agency. I find most of your content in tandem with what I have learnt so far. How does this sound please?
Hey Patrick, thanks for all the great content. I've been watching your videos to prepare myself for the interviews for as SDR role. Something that I'm struggling is finding resources to learn, there are so many that it's overwhelming to choose, currently reading Sales Development by Cory and Hilmon, and listened to SD Playbook. What other resources would you recommend? A video of that would be amazing to give some guidance!
I feel RUclips is a pretty good place to learn overall. Focus on videos where you identify your ideal customer profile and generating leads with cold email, LinkedIn, and cold calling if that works for your company.
Let me know what you thought of the video in the comments!
The video was amazing.

Coachability: that's the key to any successful sales rep -- being open to learning is that first prerequisite to being coachable.

Hi I’m 16 and I’m really interested in this but I don’t know if I’m old enough....
is there a certain age you have to be to become a inbound closer?
yess im 17 and have been wondering if i could execute inbound closing
I have these skills but I don't know how to start inbound closing, what steps should I take? I wanna change my life so bad.
Assume the sale from the greeting, use assumptive closes throughout, and roll into selecting and option, not asking for a sale. ASSUME THE SALE!!!
