Some people on my last cruise spoke badly about the quality of passengers on Carnival Cruises and called it the Walmart of the cruising community. My husband and I looked at eachother like "what's wrong with Wal-Mart"? We're naive cause we thought cruising was about vacationing and having a great time. I have no time for elite cruise snobs and counting other people pockets.
They exist, let them go on the more lux but boring cruises lol
We like both Carnival and RCCL. We were unimpressed with the all out drunks on our last carnival cruise. They were vomiting all over the hallway and stairs. Then those same folks were making comments about my size. I enjoyed the activities though. My last RCCL people again judged me on my size. Because of it (both on embarkation days) I refused to wear a swimsuit the entire cruise. I'm thinking of ordering a very very very modest swimsuit for my sept cruise. There were a lot of people judging me because I was wearing leggings under a dress to keep covered calling it "too trashy".
My point in all of this is people suck on all lines. We chose Carnival for our next cruise (our first just hubby and I) because I just want to relax and not have to dress up for dinner every dang night, and we love the fun. Our RCCL cruise had NOTHING going on most of the time.

I agree cruising is about vacationing and having fun. I just took a Royal Caribbean cruise and hated it. Fun seemed heavily discouraged. I’ll take a Carnival cruise any day!

I have to agree on the Seafood Shack and Alchemy Bar! My wife and I were on the Carnival Vista for 2 weeks on back 2 back cruises and had a BLAST!! We had to make up for missing out on the last 2 years of vacations lol! We got the Cheers package and took full advantage of the drinks, sodas and coffees that were available. We also purchased a voucher for the Specialty restaurants on the ship for $35. You get 3 tickets per person and can choose between the steakhouse, seafood shack, JiJi's Asian restaurant, Bonsai and El Capitano. It was worth it! Can't wait to go again next May!

@@LifeWithUsTV We saw the information in one of the elevators. It seems like something that you only see on the ship, I don't know if it's offered on the website. For $35 dollars total, you can get 6 tickets to choose at one of the Specialty restaurants on the ship. If you go to the steakhouse, JiJi's or El Capitano; you will need to make a reservation and notify them up front of the voucher. The other one's you can just present the ticket when you arrive.

Even if they are more expensive, I recommend them because the ship cannot leave you.

Y'all are 100% correct when it comes to ordering room service. I ordered for the 1st time on the Vista for our New Year's cruise. Let me just say it was straight BUSSIN! We didn't get the pizza, but the wings, quesadilla and philly cheese steak was great. I've been wanting to try the Seafood Shack. Think I might try the crab legs next time. Thanks for the tips!

Sea Day Brunch is Freaking awesome! Steak and Eggs for breakfast??? Oh and it's fillet mignon and eggs btw..🔥🔥🔥 Oh and a 7 laying Chocolate Cake too? And all this is no charge guys....And using the app you reserve your time and they notify you when your table is ready..🔥🔥🔥

Thank yall so much i practically lived at the Alchemy Bar while i was on my cruise 2/6-2-13 . The drink package was well worth it. There were no hiccups during this cruise in my opinon except for the Freeport stop. I didnt even get off the ship. Too early to get off and back on.

I've been on one cruise so far. I had to cancel my second one, which was when covid was going on. I'll be getting married in December of this year, and plan on booking another cruise for our Honeymoon. Great tips, I've learned so much just from watching four videos so far. I went to Roatan and Cozumel on the Carnival Paradise. Had a great time so I am going on another cruise, just a 4 day to Cozumel on April 28th. I live 30 from Port of Tampa.

Is the "Quest" adventure you mentioned advertised(how did y'all find out about it) and if so do you think it would be on every cruise?
It's not advertised "usually". Its up to the cruise director and its usually on the bigger ships but we had it on the sunrise.

I believe you can get the pizza delivered anywhere on the ship as well, not just your room. At least it's like that on some of the ships
Do you just order it from your room? Like call room service? Or do you order it from the HUB app?

Seafood Shack is soooo fresh!!! I’m from VA and I love seafood, but I swear they have a net on the back of the ship catching the seafood bc it’s that fresh! If you know seafood, you can taste the difference!

Also, if you didn't mention elsewhere, there is a package of specialty dining coupons offered on day one only at a discount as well as Vineyard at Sea wine deals that is superior to the drink package, for us wine snobs, IMHO!;)

We had only been on Disney cruises with our kids before our first Carnival cruise and our top loves for Carnival was: comedy club, seafood shack, and guys burgers!!! We are taking the kids on their first Carnival cruise Mardi Gras. We are nervous, but hope they have a good time. If not, we definitely plan to cruise Carnival kore without the kids. It’s definitely a great adults only vibe for us. There are some major differences between Carnival and Disney of course, but when it’s just myself and I we don’t need to go on a Disney cruise. Lol
