Our last cruise my husband brought zero socks, thinking he would be wearing flip-flops the whole time. Well, elegant night comes and no socks lol. The only socks I had that he could squeeze his giant feet into had POM-POMS ON THEM! He wore them with pride 🤣

Suggestion to stop leaking items: If the container has a threaded lid, unscrew the lid, pop a piece of saran wrap or a plastic bag over the threads, then screw the lid back on. That helps tremendously in case the lid pops open. Had shower gel leak all over everything in my luggage years ago, I've been doing the plastic trick ever since and haven't had an issue

Then put the bottles in a ziploc bag. I bought some shower caps from a janky site. They can’t fit a newborn’s head, but they work great for putting under the lid of a bottle.
I do this when I travel, which is often, and then I put my liquids in a plastic ziplock bag for extra insurance. No mishaps to date. 👍

A lot of diaper bags are made just like that bag with several pockets and compartment. And the diaper bags usually have a insulated compartment as well.
Wash your clothes the last day we always use the laundry on the ship
Also if you fly in the day before and I always forget something there is always a quick run to the store I don’t worry about if I forget something now
A good way to avoid luggage issues is to travel carry on only. Completed a 7 day cruise this spring and ensured we had pieces that can pair with alternates to create other outfits. This way will definitely prevent you from overpacking with airline luggage restrictions.
We can do 5 no problem but 7 never works. We’ll get there lol
Love your videos and tips! The reason for a non-surge protector power strip: Ships use an ungrounded electrical system. The surge protection that is a safety measure for your home electronics is actually a fire hazard on ships.

I just came back from a Bahamas Carnival cruise for a wedding and I always use a list because if I don’t I know for a fact I will over pack and buying that luggage scale is a must have I learned that fast when I went to Jamaica a few years ago! The non surge extension cords make sense. The ship is essentially trying to prevent a surge from going back through their electrical lines and causing a fire since their electrical system isn’t grounded like your home would be. They probably have some sort of “built in” mass surge protector on the ship.

Funny thing abt the travel scale. I said I was gonna get my mama one because last time we went on a cruise and had to fly to New Orleans to get on the ship her luggage was over the limit on our way there and back and she had to rearrange and people waiting behind you. I had secondhand embarrassment 🤦🏿 lol

Hey Fam, we are from Richmond too. We are thinking about converting over to Carnival. We went on our first cruise 2 years ago on Royal Caribbeans oasis of the seas and we got hooked. But we have been watching yall and now very interesting and trying Carnival.
I sure wish we found yall channel last year. Our flight was canceled the morning of the cruise and we couldn't get to miami by 4pm to embark. We were so HOT!! We lost $2400 ,but we did get our flight money back.

Flying you need your wine inside your luggage, but at the ship, it has to be in your carry-on. It is best to try to buy on the way to the ship if flying in.
This is what I'm gonna do for our upcoming trip. We fly in the day before so plenty of time to get the bubbly!

I actually use a digital fishing scale to weigh our luggage. They are extremely inexpensive and work great. I also use the same scale for my reselling business. I just put the items in a bag and weigh them that way

Hey guys. All great tips. Hope when they took the fella wine/cartons or whatever it was; they give it back at the end? In terms of packing everything, don’t ppl still the clothes they wore the evening before unless like the lady you said packed, put her pjs on then put the luggage out. I’m the ziplock queen 😂. Yup re:tipping that starts from the Uber in NY to the airport. I have 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100’s and have them broken down per day for bartenders, servers at dinner. Let’s say on the Seascape we returned with a lot of the bartenders tip funds. Hoping their premium package and yacht club patrons gave them handsome extra tips. Paper and candy straws suck. Yessssss Lynette. Need a laundry bag. All great friendly reminders. Thanks so much.
