Just some random thoughts: I find natural Asian eyes beautiful, but many stars get surgery for a more Caucasian/ doll like look. This is unfortunate, but many cultures have similar problems e.g black people and straight hair. Grass is always greener I guess... Having narrower eyes is not ugly nor does it make a person look viscious as some people like to claim. For example, Yeji from Itzy is a beautiful woman yet her eyes are narrow. There is also beauty in unique and diverse features. There is no need to substitute one human being for another and there is more to a person being attractive than their facial features. I feel as frustrated as him too... There are people who do not like my features as wellL but what exactly do you want the person to do... I look like my parents and I don't want to look like a stranger to the people I love.

I'm new to watching Chinese movies, and my first was The Story of Pearl Girl. I absolutely loved it, and now I'm hooked! Liu Yuning is so handsome and such a fantastic actor. Coming from an older American woman, I have to say he truly impressed me. He seems to have a bright future ahead of him, and I admire his humility and the old-soul maturity he carries.

I can't agree Liu Ning is handsome in conventional sense, but I don't think he deserves to be called ugly either. He fitted his role in "Journey to love" much better than Leo Wu fitted his role in "The long ballad". Leo totally ruined his character according to me (as did Dilraba hers). Liu Shi Shi is very pretty and to me first seemed to be a little bit odd to be paired with Liu Ning, but frankly I thought they fitted very well together and Liu Ning's singing voice is very difficult to match. (Liu Shi Shi's real life husband is not what I would call handsome either.)

I can't agree Liu Ning is handsome in conventional sense, but I don't think he deserves to be called ugly either.
He fitted his role in "Journey to love" much better than Leo Wu fitted his role in "The long ballad". Leo totally ruined his character according to me (as did Dilraba hers).
Liu Shi Shi is very pretty and to me first seemed to be a little bit odd to be paired with Liu Ning, but frankly I thought they fitted very well together and Liu Ning's singing voice is very difficult to match.
