I'm a skier but I've done a bit of snowboarding, I feel like backflips on skis have the same principals as a wildcat, they are very similar relative to the slope. I almost feel like "upflip" is a better name for a backflip/wildcat, at least in terms of trying to convey the motion and feeling of doing that kind of rotation

For sure! I’d call every flip an up flip tho. You never wanna be throwing down haha
