I Bought HoverAir Promax instead this ,Promax would swallow and spit this out like a tornado came through, The features and the quality of the ProMax is unbeatable for such a small Drone.. this is just a strip down 4K drone, The features and battery is laughable
I can see people buying the Avata 2 fly more combo, this little guy plus the rc3 in one shopping trip 😁I had a similar experience with the Avata 2 in manual pulling out from a dive and I hit the green. With that drone, after hard bumps be careful not to use normal/atti or rth mode as the sensor might be out of calibration after a good hit (until you land in manual and power cycle it). Nice review!
This is the truth 😂. You expect it to be a hybrid between an FPV, out of the box it is. If you commit to using it in manual mode you end up bashing N/S/RTH into near unusability. Sure you can burn a care express to fix it. But If you bought it with the intent to fly manual, then it makes more sense to just abandon normal and sport modes once they wobble and only send it back when it can't fly at all.
I got the Avata 2 fly more beforehand and i orderd the neo as a "toy"/training FPV Drone. Maybe i will use it also for some Special shots where the Avata is simply to large or to heavy. And the Auto shot modes will be cool when hiking.
For the price its a absolute beast that drone. Did not expect that at all from it.. Its for the many people that one at a unbelivable price all that tech in a 135 gram drone 4k 30.. Can't beat that
I wish dji would set the neo up so it will work with the goggles 2 and the controller 2. Can’t see spending money on new goggles and controller for the neo.
Yep, I agree. I would consider getting this if they make the Googles 2 compatible at least. I don't own any DJI RC Controllers, so I would have to get at least that.
@@Mikes666 hi, sorry I have the DJI FPV 2 controller, and the DJI rc controller first one ,DJI motion control 2 , goggles 2 none of these have support sadly 🥲
Yes I think 4:3 ratio is the best settings for the Neo, in 16:9 ratio, the EIS (rocksteady) decrease the global quality. I saw the same on others videos!
it could be aswell that they edit on 1080p, or export in mp4 instead of .mov, or they use a lower bitrate that normally does not affect as much good quality video from a camera or a good phone, but in lower quality cameras with boosted sharpening, it gets destroyed and just looks bad.
Nice video, and great flying in acro mode. Another reviewer, Captain Drone rated the Neo as “terrible” in acro mode, because “it doesn’t bank”, but I think that this video clearly demonstrates that it is in fact a great FPV drone in acro mode..🤷🏼♂️
Me too, all other reviews I keep seeing are about blogging AI assisted nonsense I wanted to see how it flies free style I think you may have convince me.
Bro, you are just a wicked good pilot. I’ve seen you fly the tiny mini quads then this… you could probably make an FPV video with a toaster fitted with the right props. Well done!!
I am amazed at how tidy and clean the house is 😁 And how the cat did not freak out 🙀 I bam seriously looking at getting this for still photography and landscape videos. Although I think it is probably too fast for that. The drone on its own with app operation is relatively cheap but it gets expensive when you add batteries and a controller.
About time someone made a good fpv film manual flight. All these other RUclipsrs are the same old boring reviews with no acro at all. Nice video and nice music.
Exactly the video I was hoping to see and this is exactly why I just ordered the Neo. I have the Avata 2 with the goggles 3 and FPV controller 3 and I can’t wait to be able to practice full manual flight with this thing!! I’m not expecting the performance of a 5” freestyle quad, but don’t want that kind of performance until my skills are much more honed. I’ll be much less afraid of crashing this than I would the Avata 2. AND I’ll be able to teach my 9 year old daughter to fly it without stress. Brilliant!!!
Wow - You are the best drone pilot i've seen. Cool product with a lot of fun. Don't forget to entertain your beloved partner once in a while 😉 Thanks for your video!
Awesome! Great vid, excellent flying skills showcasing what this superb little drone can do. One thing I've noticed from the many Neo vids I've watched is that your footage seems to be so much better quality than every other video I've seen on youtube. Let us know what settings you were using :)
I think you've nailed the weird problem with the Neo. If you want a cheap selfie *video* drone with limited long distance flight and easy AI follow features, and are ok with using your phone as a controller, the base kit at US$200 is perfect. If you want more like a flying camera, then you're at US$340 for the Fly More kit - still not horrible, but it's not a great still camera (ie: no panos, 12MP, not the best picture quality), so the Mini 4K might be a better choice. But if you want FPV, you leap up to goggles (US$500) and either a Motion controller (US$100) or an FPV controller (US$130) plus the drone kit ($300 because you'll want two more batteries and the charge hub) - or US$900+ I mean, it's cheaper than an Avata (which isn't sub-250g so that's a plus for the Neo), but it's still not cheap. If you already have an Avata kit or just have the goggles for some reason, then the Neo is a no-brainer. Since it's under 250g, it opens up a huge range of new possibilities that would be tricky (or impossible) with the Avata. But if you don't... then it's a much harder sell.
@@andykirby Indeed the 2 persons who warned about it not being suitable did say that the rates could be changed but they didn't. I own a Mavic 2 pro, a Mini pro 3 and 4 but nevertheless interested to acquire the Neo. Attracted by the light weigh and ease with which it can be engaged. I still hesitate because of the camera. I do understand it shouldn't be compared but once you get used to good quality photos and videos...
Watching this video makes me consider of buying neo cause other reviewers didn't fly as good as you and the footage looks pretty good on this video. Thank you! Also I would be really interested in tests during windy weather in FPV mode and does it work with the phone as a preview screen instead of goggles? If yes I would like to know your opinion on that, thank you again!
Nice flying man !!! Tell me about limitations in acro manual mode about bank angles and up and down angles in loop? Can fly in full manual mode or with some limitations? Some video with dive and loops and rols. Thanks.
He did flips and dives in this video mate, watch it again! Its clear there's no attitude mode limitations (I assume there is and they need switched off in the oggles like the Avata 2)
u can pull this out where u cant pull out your avata 2, size does matter.... also the most important point, i bought the avata 2 after the neo, i bring out the NEO way more often and even stopped packing the AVATA 2
I need that controller I can't get in with the motion controller being left handed & yes I know it's got left handed mode but that doesn't help the button locations
nice perfect drone to practice manual flying not so expensive when it crashes ! Did the improve the video quality with update ? I will use it mainly for interior real estate
I’m curious how far its range is in full manual mode? I’ve seen people cruise slowly in sport mode but only get a bit over 1 kilometer out and back. Nice ripping btw 🤙
Out of all the footage that i've seen of the Neo, this ones seems to be the best one so far. Everyone elses just looks grainy/blurry/over sharpened etc. So how dya make this footage usable?
"Fly with caution"

Holy moly you’re really good at flying indoors. Great video showcasing acro mode 👍
Never mind the drone, that's a great house!
I love mine
I like that car
I was thinking the same..nice house
Damn thats some skill. I purchased this as a beginner in the fpv world, and this video just made me have no regret for my purchase.
I am shocked! I didn't think it would acro that well at all! Awesome video mate!
Cheers matey!
