It depends what your monitor is? 4K gaming? Then buy the 5080 or 5090. For full hd or 3440 monitor is 4070ti enough. But; new card gonna be better, buy new card. Just my opinion.
good luck. The 4090 can barely ray trace 4k on most new titles if you run ultra settings.. The 5080 will be the same most likely.. 4k is still niche for highest settings and ray tracing, but the 5090 might finally be the first true 4k ray tracing worthy card.
honestly, vast majority of PC gamers don't care about these high end GPUs, what they do care about is the mainstream GPU market, so 5060/5060Ti and 8600/8600XT
They will lift the 120fps limit from the 4090 in 4k for the 5090. So TVs will follow and maybe we'll get a 240fps gaming TV. Shouldn't buy a 5090 unless your playing in 4k due to value for money and use cases.

@@claxcz i decided to get the 7900xtx, but now i regret it, amd driver update is lagging behind and for the new AAA games i usually have to wait for 15-30 days before they optimize it, on top of that i had long term performance issues with some games, for example helldivers 2 crash and exit due to driver issue lasted for 3-4 months until they finally fixed it. Then there is the weaker fsr, ray tracing, and worse performance on UE5 games which is used by most new games. We simply don't know the final specs yet. But there's a rumour that the 5080 is 10% faster than a 4090.
@Safetytrousers Even with the next-generation graphics architecture, a Gpu with 40% fewer cores has no chance against RTX 4090
Why? The card isn't even out yet.
the only one thing i love about the leaks when the gpu's are not out are the disapointments when they will be released because the cards are hyped for no reason.
I apologize in advance to being part of the problem when i get one. In my defense, im not just a gamer.
There is no being a part of the problem. People will buy what they want whether they are just a gamer or not.
Same! Cant wait to get my hands on a 5090… not apologetic though, cant go buy a new bmw for the price of a new honda!!
Screw this stupid ahh logic don't apologize, gamers particularly have trouble understanding that not everyone is monolith with the gaming community all thinking and doing the same thing.
Tomorrow isn't even promised and they'll try to bully ppl into thinking ur bad for spending money on a product you want/need. Why should yall be worried about people who can't afford it as just one individual, one person won't make a difference anyway.

No don't wait. We don't know officially when the new cards will come out and they will be hard to get for potentially months at the msrp. I would buy now then if you need the extra power of the 5080 then sell the 4070 ti super when you can get one for or close to msrp.
