- Luck be a Landlord Part 46 - it's so big that I had to get a screenshot to read the entirety of the number. This is what happens when you stack cat essences with Beastmasters and an Eldritch Creature. Is this what you wanted?

The creator of luck be a landlord is obviously a cat lover given that cats are the best symbol in the game and dogs have 1 synergy
and said 1 synergy just turns them into a different symbol anyway
honestly, despite both being common animal symbols dogs do practically nothing lol

I did a run yesterday with Dwarves and got the cash to go underneath the inventory button. Dwarves are actually insane because you can double them with 3 essenses (Anvil, Antropology, and Rusty) and scale off alchol which is also multiplied by the Happy hour essense. Throw in bartenders and keep 1 empty, and the dwarves all drink and multiply the multiplied alchol for some absolutely absurd values. I think I had the multiplier on the dwarves at like 10^14 at least. You also run a dame to delete the martinis, and if you pick compost to make seeds, you grab ms fruit to scale infinitely. And you just have to occasionally remove the Rares and Very rares that don't get eaten.
That sounds like a lot more work than this and similar to stuff he's tried before but it's cool that it worked for you!
Couldn’t you multiply the alcohol with chefs to get even more money?
@@Schnellfisch Someone did an insane run with 1 Bartender, 1 Dwarf, 1 Dame, and 17 Chefs.

@@butwhatif2489 I'd imagine that the developer expected runs to get pretty high, so they used a datatype like a BigInt, which basically can get as big as your RAM

By the way, it DID actually add perfectly to where it looked the same. I checked and you had around 8.414188 quintillion, then you added the 75.83136 quintillion to get to 84.24555 quintillion.
If this wasn't the case, you wouldve had to have had around 8.4 sextillion, orders of magnitude higher than your maximum, and the math doesnt work out(8.4141 sextillion + 75 quintillion cannot equal 8.42455 sextillion
@@alexion3007 I wouldn't be surprised if this is more the result of the variable reaching its maximum.
Either that, or it's a float which could store larger numbers and decimal places, but it sacrifices accuracy.

Floats are always good to the same number of significant figures and the only time that changes is when you go past the maximum possible float (which is always orders of magnitude greater than quintillions). A variable reaching its maximum is plausible considering 75 quintillion is greater than both the signed and unsigned 64 bit integer max, which is about 10 and 20 quintillion respectively, but it's worth noticing that the number did actually change so the commenter is right here. Only the first couple digits were the same.
@@neopalm2050 I'm just giving a guess based off the fact that floats do degrade in precision as numbers go into the extreme.
Now, if this is the case here I cannot say, it could be that they are using some sort of multiple precision library or another solution entirely.

@@neopalm2050 the max safe int that can be represented by a 64-bit float is ~9 quadrillion, and after that addition will no longer be accurate to the nearest integer. This is ~1000x bigger and the addition is apparently off by ~1000 so it seems plausible to me

@@hungri5514 bc of the copycat item, the cats also act as wildcards, which mean they copy the biggest value of adjacent symbols. In this run, the eldritch creature is what provides the original """high""" value that the cats copy, to then multiply it to absurd numbers
i wonder what would happen if he waited just a few more spins until the telescope essence and the actual telescope aligned. would all symbols be double adjacent then and thus the effects proc twice? or does it just do the same thing and the number would still be 75 quintillion?
I think it would just be the same number, since making them adjacent twice doesn't mean stuff is boosted twice. But depending on how that's coded, it's possible that each beastmaster could quadruple the cat/eldritch creature (which would be illogical/incorrect, but hey, im not going to rule this out.)

I recently had a run that was pirates and the cat synergy.
Pirates and midas are able to grab the anthropology essence multiplier, so I had some 1.5k*3k pirates, and then the copy/black/pizza multiplied cats.
I got bored in the low billions and pipes a Devils deal, which was terrible and permanently ruined the run. Still was fun, and I wanna go for it again to see how insane I can get it with single pirate, 13 cats, and as many midas as can fit.
Just Imagine that one cat-loving grandma making 75 quintillion dollars PER DAY and STILL renting a house XD

Well assuming the other commentor is correct and he got to 84.24 quintillion, he went way beyond int32, int64, AND unsigned int64 max values.
I assume the devs just defined their own large type in this case

They might figured a class that stores numbers as strings
the numbers started to have multiple 0s at the end so it could be floating point which means the numbers would say inf when broken
although the essence multipliers might be stored as integers so maybe with enough black cat essence we'd see a negative
the game caps at Inf. It doesn't have integer overflow. But it is possible to get absurd negative values.

Shoulda ended it with the guillotine essence. Tbf though it took me over an hour once for it to show up (I was too stubborn to end without getting it) once I got it…it crashed my game. Very fitting and I wish that’s how it was supposed to work. Basically telling the person to get a life lol.
That is how it is supposed to work. It even plays the same sound effect as when you kill a billionaire with the guillotine item in the game.
@@jacklorenz4274 well no, it does crash the full game, it plays the sound then puts you to the main menu, for me I had to relaunch the game after.

@@NutchapolSal it’s not supposed to crash the game. It ends the run and gives a stop to a run as it makes the slicing sound and puts you in the main menu. It crashed my game and had to reopen it entirely but it did end the run as it should.

Better strategy: get 3 cats so they are wild cards. U can farm essences to get rustygear essences and anthropology degree essence. Make beastmasters give more gold than cats per spin so 1 wildcard cat spins higher by the amount of times multiplied by all beastmasters. Then 2nd cat does the same with the last cat and 3rd cat aswell. And also you can rusty gear cats then.
For much money as possible. Get protractor essence, have 2 cats in edge and hope that oil can rolls bith of the cats in edge. Have normal and essence swapping device bcause it stacks with the normal swapping device and u get 4x buff from it. Works with oil can too.
Then swap both cats in corners twice and have telescope on that spin.
Anybody else coming back to relive the good ole days?

I’ve actually gotten the essence with enough money for it to proc after waiting for it to show up for a couple hours.
Then it crashed my game. Very fitting as it was telling me to get a life I think.

I know nobody will read this, but I'm super confused as to what role the eldritch creature has in this run. like why does the roll make so much more when its on screen? how does it impact the cats? as someone who plays this game and heavily relies on clear skies sun flower to get high rolls, I'd like to diversify and make my runs more interesting. thanks to anyone who reads this and decides to help

So instead of making 2 dollars the cat makes the eldritch creatures base money making * 2^the number of beastmasters (because the cat don't make the eldritch creatures base money making its the eldritch creature buffed by the beastmasters) * 2^the number of beastmasters (because the cat gets buffed by the beastmasters)
