that midas bomb on the drunk dwarf was insane this whole run has been absolutely hiularious with how silly all of it was definitely my favorite landlord video ever, who cares about quintillions of money when you can have so much luck you can't find a cat or a monkey
I’m pretty sure the wine in the last spin WAS doubled in value by the chef. Remember, one of the landlord’s things was “Dwarves give 50% less.” Also, a “Things directly above and below aren’t considered adjacent” rule would explain the ignored +1 Wine and why the two chefs didn’t quadruple the value of the wine.
Remember, you can turn off the magicfind items to manipulate your symbols odds, it starts to become necessary once you get a few magicfind essences, because you can't turn those off
two things I learned this video 1) Bartenders are affected by symbol rarity increases 2) it looked like dwarf refuses to drink wine that has finished aging.
2:45 An idea here could be to take the Barrel of Dwarves Essence, but then immediately disable it so you have the option later in the run to clear your deck of the Dwarf/ves if you decide to pivot away from Bartender. Just a potential option, not sure if it'd be worth picking over Void Part Essence there.
I normally don’t bother commenting but I just want to say I’ve been in a really hard spot these last few days and your uploads never fail to make me feel a little bit better about things
we already knew it was Wisconsin and I grew up in RI only knew bubbler forever left that state bc family things then next state I went to was like "tf is a bubbler?" was VERY confused to say the least. only states that is is like in the middle of the state to the right, that is a large area.
Yeah I've started loving Lucky cat even more once I've learnt I could enable and disable items and then realized that makes Lucky cat a very flexible luck odds modifier, which I really love. I mean aside from having cats, which can be underwhelming without synergies, but actually really good with them, so it's not a big deal. The only two items that have a similar function are the carrots, and they're rare. It's just so nice being able to enable and disable luck odds whenever you feel like it (unlike with Rabbit fluff, which is a pretty good symbol, but you can't manipulate the luck odds while it's still in your deck). Sometimes you find a synergy that requires common symbols (like cats lol), but when you get enough commons you can switch back to getting the rarer part of the synergy (in this case it could be Witches, for example). So good.
Tyler saying "would I ever want a second dwarf? I don't know" makes me realize he doesn't quite see the power of multiple consumption :D Of course you'd want a second dwarf! Especially with a thinner deck, there are more chances multiple dwarfs consume the same wine at the same time, multiplying the value. Of course having more dwarfs would mean they would just hang out there and give 1 when there's no wine to drink, and interfer with the other synergies 🤔 But in this run there was also such a strong drink synergy going, the second dwarf definitely would be more of an upside. And if you had a Dwarven anvil... That would be the dream :D Also Tyler forgot that dwarfs gave 50% less, in case anyone's wondering. So yes, the dwarf always destroys symbols after their value has been buffed by other symbols. Which is also quite insane, and it's something that I didn't realize worked like this until later into playing the game.
If you get super high luck but need commons you can just disable the items that give luck, I get lucky cat a lot for some reason so its a trick I picked up after a bit.
Tyler: having an amazing bartender run that will kill the landlord in mere seconds if he does nothing about it The landlord: hmm yes, guioten haves no more efffect!
4:20 Time to make dice reroll odds and showing Tyler's calculations because why not. Starting with the 3-sided, if it rolls 3 it keeps it, 1 or 2 gets rerolled. So you have a 1/3 chance to get 3 coins, and then 2/3 to get a normal dice roll. So the average is 1/3 * 3 + (2/3 * 1/3) * 1 + (2/3 * 1/3) * 2 + (2/3 * 1/3) * 3. So it's 1 + (2/3 * 2) = 1 + 4/3 = 2.333... Same logic for the 5-sided die. 1/5 * 5 + 1/5 * 4 + (3/5 * 1/5 * 15) = 3.66. So it's a +.33 per 3-sided die and a +.66 per 5-sided die like he said. I don't really think it's worth it. The only thing to add is that it's a +1 coin, not a +.9 :P
Wait did luck odds make it so the Rabbits didn't generate any common rabbit fluff or was that something else? Because I didn't see them make any the whole game!
For the most of the video I thought you forgot about turning on and off items. Then you turned off oil can. Cool video, but I was majorly confused the entire time. You wanted some common symbols, but lamented that your items were giving too much luck. Your solution? Tedium capsules. Why couldn't you just turn it off temporarily to get common symbols more reliably? Just a bit confused is all.
He's talked about this before, he knows he can turn off items but he doesn't like doing it (unless of course it's some QoL thing like turning off oil can so it doesn't interrupt gameplay when he doesn't want to use it), which is why you don't see him do it to get rid of the effects of an item even if he needs the opposite of it
I feel like luck odds stacking isn't as good as it seems based on description. At least a point. It says makes everything besides common more likely, or in other words just makes commons less likely. So doesn't stacking more "luck" just mean commons become more and more less likely, so really just makes uncommons very likely, and the effect on rares and very rares somewhat minor? Or am I missing something?
The higher rarities will push out the lower rarities. So if you keep going once commons get pushed out, eventually uncommons will get pushed out, and eventually rares too.
You can disable items to manually lower your luck odds, I'm not sure why you are so nervous about doing it. EDIT: Wait, you disabled the oil can, but complained about too high luck odds? Brain fart?

Time to make dice reroll odds and showing Tyler's calculations because why not.
