Watt be laughing at flat fingers but little did he know, his fingers were slightly flat when he slaps that space bar 👀 jokes aside, that really gave me a deeper understanding to this arrangement, I never get tired of learning from you. Keep it up!
Oh boy, this one's gonna blow the algorithm. Great review, and honestly, mad respect for being able to immediately put whatever you're thinking into words. As someone who kinda sucks at talking, that impresses me a lot, likely more than it should lol
Pls bring more of these videos!!! And if it’s analyzing Animenz even better 👁👁. I wish you also analyzed any TheIshter’s arrangement, he puts something into it that nobody else does. Anyways, great video as always, those 10k subs are very close!!!
I would really like to thank you. I've always enjoyed Animenz's videos but never been capable to understand all of the techniques that were behind those pieces. Thanks to you, now I see them under a more complete light, and I can appreciate them even more than before. You are doing a great job, keep it up!
Thank you Watt for putting words on such a great arrangement, it's surprisingly entertaining and it helps me to enjoy even more Animenz's cover :0 I recommend you to listen to Animenz's Sincerly (from Violet evergarden), it may be as emotional as My Dearest (and less percussive than Gurenge haha)
Would you be able to do a review of Animenz's arrangement of Grand Escape from Weathering with You? It's honestly stunning and I would love to see your in-depth analysis of some of the techniques he uses. Animenz even says in his video description that it sounds like 3 hands are playing the entire time because of how many voices there are lol
I didn't know the up and down wrist motion technique that you said at the beginning of your video. I might learn that too. Btw nice review and nice thumbnail Watt! 😁
I love how you tried so hard sometimes to not hit the spacebar in order to pause and comment on every little detail haha. Loved the video keep up the good work!
Rly great review rly enjoyed it and it was rly interesting. Animenz arrangement is a banger haha there were a few things i didnt noticed before you mentioned it. Great stuff man keep it up :)

First off, amen. I just saw the movie in theaters a few days ago. Blown away by how amazing it was compared to the manga. Love watching these videos. I’ve actually been more conscious of my own playing ever since you reviewed me and as you break down these videos. Hopefully I can live up to your standard after digesting these videos. These reviews on the wrist movement, the phrasing, and articulation/contrast in melody make so much more sense after a few hours of WattKeys lmao.
These reviews are really helpful even though I've been playing piano for over 10 years! Can you perhaps do an analysis for a piece by Pianominion or Marasy8?
Very interesting and really fun, thank you for the review! I am not sure about the flat fingers... have you ever seen Vladimir Horowitz, playing super fast with extremely flat fingers? Maybe it depends on individual habits and the shape of the hand, doesn't it?
I certainly have, but even then if I recall correctly his fingers will get a bit more "structured" in order to do so. Of course, more of piano playing depends on hand structure than I think most people realize, but it's generally easier to play "faster" with a more curved finger than with a flat finger for most people.
@@WattKeys Of course you're right. Just rewatching your review I realize you mentioned Horowitz - so sorry! 🤔 And this time I detected a lot more interesting observations and remarks - so thanks again, I love these reviews and learn a lot from them.
Generally in music wet/dry indicates degree of reverberance in the sound, so in audio engineering and mixing a song, an instrument is more "wet" when we literally add more reverb to it and more "dry" when it's just the original sound. On the piano something is more "wet" when there's more pedal because that adds the reverb, and it's "dry" when we play without pedal.

Awesome awesome vid. I especially like how you talked about the three-hand technique/ dryness used to contrast parts. Almost 10k!
Thank you Watt for putting words on such a great arrangement, it's surprisingly entertaining and it helps me to enjoy even more Animenz's cover :0

You should definitely review jichan parks piano videos
This was a great analysis. I like how some of your comments were more general, because they gave me a lot of ideas for my own work, like at 7:56.

Found this channel like a hour and a half ago and now I have watched 3 pianist reviews with knowing ZERO about pianos haha.
Wattgang Ayyy 🎹❤
The like and dislike ratio is very rare to come across
Wattkeys the classical pianist animenz fanboy :)
Ah the classic gurenge, and the downup motion, oh thats what's it called lol

The plucking motion staccato is called pizzicato I think. Just like if you were to pluck a violin or cello.
These reviews are really helpful even though I've been playing piano for over 10 years!

Hoping for Sparkle Animenz cover reaction
Hey, can u do a video reacting to piano progression videos and how realistic they are

can you break down patrik pietschmans my war please?
nice
9k subs😳
Oii 9k!!!
noice
I know you're a music guy that specializes in piano, but have you heard Lisa's live performace on the first take channel?
I dont play an instrument, nor do i have much education with music. What does it mean for the music to be wet or dry?
Generally in music wet/dry indicates degree of reverberance in the sound, so in audio engineering and mixing a song, an instrument is more "wet" when we literally add more reverb to it and more "dry" when it's just the original sound. ;)
who the hell is the one person who disliked???
2mins in... I'm just a f*cked up asian who can't play a string instrument. Like uncle roger. Gaddamit.
Who tf disliked😠
Lmao piano breathing
