- My transcription of Animenz's newest upload, Gurenge by LiSA from Demon Slayer! It was a fairly straightforward standard Animenz arrangement, complete with his usual three hand technique and rhythmic left hand patterns. I do have to say though, it's probably more intense than any of his previous recent arrangements.
For my future uploads, I've probably got one more past season arrangement and then it's into the summer 2020 season!

Q: Is this playable?
A: Well... all jokes aside, all my arrangements are made to be played by one person!
Q: My hands can't reach that far! How is this possible?
A: All my arrangements can be played if you can reach a 10th (C to next octave E). If there is a stretch that seems longer than that, consider using the other hand, or possibly the sustain pedal! Keep in mind that my Synthesia videos are based on my sheets, so the colours may not match the hand it's supposed to be played with.

Personally, I also found it quite straightforward; in comparison, I found his previous arrangement, The Everlasting Guilty Crown, way more technical and difficult. But I think it depends on people: on sheethost, I found some arrangements Animenz categorized as "advanced" (Aliez, for example) easier than other ones he categorized as "intermediate" or "proficient" (Boys be smile and the Madoka Magica medley).
Maybe animenz just got so masterful in non-straightforward transcription that he is not so proficient anymore in the more straightforward one 😅 I hope that make sense
@@ligrerium9891 Yeah, he was consumed by his technical expertise that he want to improvise everything for his ideal style. But the animenz today just wanna express the real soul of the original songs.
@@LouisR56 Its not; there are techniques that are advanced and their are ones that arent. If ur able to play those pieces Im sure you've had enough practice to know what that means. Its not subjective is all Im getting at. Of course, certain advanced techniqes come easier to some, but it doesnt change the fact that theyre still advanced. You wouldnt expect a double gliscendo from a intermediate pianist. You wouldnt expect an arpeggietted scale at 160BPM from an intermediate player. Those techniques are advanced. The list goes on but Im sure you get it.
@@sidenote1459 I understand what you mean, but it's quite subjective, everyone has their favorite and nemesis techniques. Everything I mentioned is actually quite advanced, or at least proficient. But I would say this arrangement, aside from its fast tempo and occasional arpeggios, doesn't have any severe difficulty. The 3 hand techniques were more demanding in The Everlasting Guilty Crown for example. The amount of double thirds, ascending, descending, or 2 hands arpeggios, and fast octaves in the Madoka medley makes it; at least for me; more difficult in a technical point of view than this one which is, imo, more "straightforward".

Your arrangement, at least to me, was much better. I love Animenz arrangements, but you just captured certain parts much better than this arrangement did. But that might be just me.

@@zzzAnimeonPiano There are many arrangements of yours that succeed to execute certain aspects better than any arrangement I searched for. I think it's not just the absence of limitations, but your ears and abilities too :)
And that is coming from a very picky person, so that is quite a big thing from my point of view. I am pretty sure I learned one of your arrangements just for one part I loved that other arrangements couldn't do well, so that's that.

Here I was learning Shirushi but... challenge accepted.
It was ok and said to myself that I can do it until I saw how many times my hands have to jump that far, and so many riffs. I'll just find another piano piece of it and some intermediate tutorials.

I love transcription videos, especially of non-MIDI pianists like Animenz, marasy8, or phyxion... It breaks the arrangement down so that I can objectively and thoroughly enjoy the piece.

Transcribing definitely isn't easy and I don't find it easy either. Just takes some dedication :)
