    I want to thank you heartily for displaying this knot-looking stitch for us and with this yarn, to boot! I've seen many Turkish ladies' videos doing this Stitch with solid color yarns which let's face it are great for showing us the detail of the Stitch with good lighting and excellent camera work but do nothing for the imagination when I watch thousands of these videos - and apparently way too many because I did not even have the creativity at a certain point to figure - like you did - the best way to display the Stitch. I've been looking and looking and looking for something spectacular, and here it is. I've broken out of my comfort zone now, and you did it for me! Thank you!

    I have the same yarn in a different color! The yarn is gorgeous and I'm in love with it. I've been looking for a pattern to do the yarn justice, and then I found your video!
    Unfortunately, I'm just too new to crochet and this is a bit over my head. One day I will be able to make this beautiful scarf, though, so I'm definitely saving your video!

    I've only been crocheting for 8 months and this looked daunting to me. I gave it a try and made a sample with red Heart. That yarn seems too thick for this pattern, but I'm shocked that I was able to do it at all! Your instructions were clear and calm and I am so happy that I was able to do it perfectly. Thanks so much.

    This is really lovely! I have to agree about the Unforgettable yarn. It is beautiful but a real pain if one needs to take it out. I've been using it on a Tunisian scarf and had to break it numerous times. But the end result is worth it. Very pretty. Thanks for a great tutorial!

    Hi Colleen, I just finished making this scarf with you. Only about 45 inches but it is enough to wrap around my neck twice or lay in a single strand. I LOVE this pattern! Beautiful. But I don't understand why my yarn gets this and fuzzy while yours appears to be fuzzless all the way through. Also, yours is thin all the way through. I did have difficulty with the half double crochet row because I didn't understand which row to work off of. My inexperience I guess. It took me about 7 rows of working off of the previous row to get that I was doing it wrong and what I was doing. It might help those of us who are fairly new for you to clarify that point. Again, thank you so much for this pattern. I have to decide if I want to make more with the Unforgettable yarn. I don't mind working with it but it is definitely fuzzy whereas yours is not. I purchased mine from eBay. Maybe they were seconds.

      Hi Cindy! Forgive my late reply... it could just be the yarn, I don't know. If it's been sitting in someone's stash as opposed to purchasing it right off the shelf. I do appreciate the tips.. I learn more on each new video I create on what to and what not to do to make things a bit simpler for those newer to the craft. Thank you for your feedback and thank you so much for giving my pattern a go! I do appreciate it!

It’s also my favorite yarn, however it’s a pain in the bum to work with. Thankfully I found the stitch ripper/popper thing. Hope that helps 😊 thank you for such a pretty stitch/ good tutorial 😊🙏🏼😊

    Colleen! You have inspired me ! I think this scarf would make lovely gifts. I also want to try RH Unforgettable yarn.
    However, it doesn't seem too easy to find it. You mention in this video that the Unforgettable yarn can be a nightmare if it catches, knots or you have to frog it.
    Despite this, I am very curious .... How cooperative is it for working from a center-pull ball? I find Crocheting with yarn that's been wound into a center pull ball so much easier & enjoyable than Commercially-wound... how it comes right from the store. All too often, it gets fiercely knotted up from the inside...and then results in nasty "Yarn Throw-up". What a waste of time!! So - what's your opinion on that? Is it safe to wind it myself into a center-pull ball ??

    • @chaysiecrochet
      @chaysiecrochet  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Cindy! I actually pull from the middle on both unforgettable and the landscapes. It seems to work much better this way. I've also found it's easier to pull out if you make a mistake if you pull slightly in the area you are frogging and loosen up the fibers before pulling stitches if that makes sense. I'm sure that is probably a bit confusing, but after playing a bit with the yarn, it actually isn't as difficult as it seems at 1st. 😊 Thank you for your lovely comment ❤

      @@aadebahr hello! Yes, the +1 will only be for the starting, from there I believe this scarf works in odd numbers for extending. This is one of my earlier scarves and for whatever reason I didn't add that to the pattern details so I will double check to verify this tomorrow. Thank you! =)

    The last stitch at the end of the row is always the most difficult to figure out "in the Redheart unforgettable fashion," especially after finishing the last puff stitch! Cut a piece of different colored yarn and mark it before starting the row.

    Hi. Thank you for the video. I am rather new at crochet. Have been studying the instructions and video and have a question. On the WS front/back post rows, why is the DC post skipped? Wouldn’t that reduce the stitch count to 12? I know you find a 13th stitch in the video somehow. I can’t make out where that stitch is coming from. I figured it might be the CH2. But why not make the skipped DC a BPHDC and eliminate the FPHDC at the other end of that row. That way when you return to the RS the first and last WS BPHDCs appear as your RS 1st and 6th FPHDC. Please help me figure this out. Thank you.

    • @chaysiecrochet
      @chaysiecrochet  5 лет назад

      Hi there! Thanks for asking 😊 I didnt like the way it looked with the first and last stitches being fpdc it wasnt looking right to me on the finish so I just chose to hdc in ea end instead, it ended up making it a cleaner edge. I think that is what you are asking about? I hope I answered your question!

    • @chaysiecrochet
      @chaysiecrochet  5 лет назад

      You're not skipping a dc... that's the one you are working an hdc into.

    • @yourpaltim
      @yourpaltim 5 лет назад +1

      @@chaysiecrochet I'm sorry. I'm still confused. Your written instructions for row 8 say "hdc in 1st stitch" -ok, that is the first dc,...."skip next dc" dc#2?,...."fphdc around next dc.." - the 3rd dc?..."ending with fphdc around last dc [dc#13?] and hdc in last stitch". If the first and last posts are front posts, doesn't that give you six back posts when you are doing puffs on the RS? But if you have six front posts when you get to the RS to do the six puffs, didn't those come from six non-front posts from row 8? And to me that seems to add up to 14 stitches on row 8 - 2x hdc + 6 fphdc + 5 bphdc + 1 skipped dc. In the video it does look to me like you skip the second dc after doing the first hdc. Sorry for being a pest. I tried it without the skip, putting a bphdc for that second dc and ending row 8 with bphdc in stitch 12 and hdc in stitch 13 and it seems to work out ok for me that way.

    OK, I did it in the same yarn but in a purple pink colorway and it looks amazing to me. The ONLY thing I wish I hadn't done was to sew the ends together. When you wear it, you see one "right" side and one "wrong" side it front. And they look quite different. Disappointing because I probably won't wear it. And that yarn...well, there's no finding those stitches to undo it!
