    Hi Jennifer! I made this for my coworker over the weekend using Caron Simply Soft in the colorway Gray Heather for her birthday. She absolutely loved it, I mean ADORED IT!! She is ultra petite (think buy clothes in the kids section), so in my mind and using my very full size chest, I in my eyes mind pictured the length I needed to make for her so she can either wear it long, or double it. After my great big hug this am when she found her gift bag on her desk, she NEVER TOOK THE SCARF OFF!! She came over about 5x gushing how she's always looked for a scarf length that size and has never been able to find it, the pattern is exquisite and the color is just her...
    I giggled and said to her; "Kathy, you do realize this scarf was custom made for you right"? *Insert duh moment* the look on her face? Priceless!!
    I can't thank you enough for this absolutely amazing tutorial and pattern!! ♥ ♥ ♥
    P.S. First time commenting like ever!! But had to share this experience with you!! Thank you again!!

    Thanks so much for this pattern. It was very easy to follow. I'm making this for the 3rd time (did 2 on last winter). For those that want it bigger or smaller, start with a foundation of any multiple of 4, then add 3. That worked for me making it a little wider.

    This is a really beautiful scarf, so easy to make but very effective. I'm sure this is simple enough for a beginner. I've completed one and am halfway through another, using Red Heart Unforgettable yarn in colour "Tidal". Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial.

    Thank you for posting this video! I made mine as a regular scarf with a fringe instead of the infinity scarf. I used one skein of Yarn Bee's Soft Secret in Mango and a size J hook. My scarf measured 58 inches without the fringes and 68 inches with the fringes. It's beautiful! Thank you again and keep posting!

Trust me, she made me do it over and over again until I got it. Once you know it, it’s like riding a bike. You never forget.

    I have been following your channel and love how easy you make learning and have a few projects done but I would love if you would do bigger sizes. As I have found that the basic foundation chains in videos are too small and I have had to increase the number of stitches.

    I'm a little confused on what brand of yarn you used for your scarf. You said the "original" scarf was Lion Brand, but yours I'm not sure if it was also Lion Brand or were you just naming the color?

    • @fiberflux
      @fiberflux  10 лет назад

      Sorry for any confusion! By original I meant the finished (gold) scarf that I showed in the beginning of the video...that one is crocheted in Lion Brand's Heartland yarn in the "Shenandoah" colorway. For the tutorial I do in the video with the green yarn, I used Vanna's Choice in the "Kelly" colorway. Here's the original written pattern for more info if you need it:

    I have an idea to use TWO colours - solid green and solid yellow yarns to somewhat make a 'camouflage' pattern? Do you think two strands of yarns worked together would come out nicely? It would be a bit bulky, right?

    • @fiberflux
      @fiberflux  10 лет назад

      I think it would be bulkier, depending on the yarn weight. I would recommend making a swatch to see if it looks the way you want it to look, I usually do that and it is extremely helpful. Love your idea too...so creative! :)

    I'm a beginner at crocheting and I'm on a chunky yarn kick. Do you think it would still turn out well if I use a thick yarn like the Wool Ease Thick & Quick and a bigger hook? I know the overall scarf would be bigger so maybe I could do 4 fans across instead of 5?

    • @Davivinc
      @Davivinc 9 лет назад

      Katie Smith You can do it that way. I usually make my scarves a little smaller so I don't use as much yarn unless I have too.
