Hi Jennifer! I made this for my coworker over the weekend using Caron Simply Soft in the colorway Gray Heather for her birthday. She absolutely loved it, I mean ADORED IT!! She is ultra petite (think buy clothes in the kids section), so in my mind and using my very full size chest, I in my eyes mind pictured the length I needed to make for her so she can either wear it long, or double it. After my great big hug this am when she found her gift bag on her desk, she NEVER TOOK THE SCARF OFF!! She came over about 5x gushing how she's always looked for a scarf length that size and has never been able to find it, the pattern is exquisite and the color is just her... I giggled and said to her; "Kathy, you do realize this scarf was custom made for you right"? *Insert duh moment* the look on her face? Priceless!! I can't thank you enough for this absolutely amazing tutorial and pattern!! ♥ ♥ ♥ P.S. First time commenting like ever!! But had to share this experience with you!! Thank you again!!
Thanks so much for this pattern. It was very easy to follow. I'm making this for the 3rd time (did 2 on last winter). For those that want it bigger or smaller, start with a foundation of any multiple of 4, then add 3. That worked for me making it a little wider.
This is the 3rd scarf of yours that I have made; well, this one is in process. They have come out quite well, and I am a beginner. Your explanations are just perfect. Thank you so much for the care you put into these videos.
This is a really beautiful scarf, so easy to make but very effective. I'm sure this is simple enough for a beginner. I've completed one and am halfway through another, using Red Heart Unforgettable yarn in colour "Tidal". Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial.
Thank you for posting this video! I made mine as a regular scarf with a fringe instead of the infinity scarf. I used one skein of Yarn Bee's Soft Secret in Mango and a size J hook. My scarf measured 58 inches without the fringes and 68 inches with the fringes. It's beautiful! Thank you again and keep posting!
💛💛💛 this pattern. I made my first scarf using this pattern with Caron Cakes yarn and it turned out beautiful. Instructions were sooooo clear and easy. Thank you‼️
Keep trying... I was a beginner and I too had a hard time. You are fortunate to have RUclips tutorial so you can go back over and over at your leisure....I had a elderly friend who taught me. Trust me, she made me do it over and over again until I got it. Once you know it, it’s like riding a bike. You never forget.
Love this pattern and the excellent video tutorial. It was explained and demonstrated clearly, completely and thoroughly. Thank you for sharing and being so considerate of your viewers throughout your tutorial, whether we’re new to crochet or just looking for fresh new ideas to create beautiful Christmas gifts for family, friends and coworkers. God bless you for sharing!! I am excited to start this project!!
You make it be SSI easy. I can't wait till my cawl is done. I'm going to make leafs to go on it aswell. So this will be a fall in Finity crawl. Is go to be so cool looking when I'm done with it. Thank you so much for your video.
LOVE this pattern! Just finished mine using Caron Simply Soft in the color way Pagoda (very rich blue). Your tutorials are great for someone learning how to crochet. Appreciate what you do!
I have been following your channel and love how easy you make learning and have a few projects done but I would love if you would do bigger sizes. As I have found that the basic foundation chains in videos are too small and I have had to increase the number of stitches. I also want to thank you for helping me get over my reluctance to learn and try different patterns and stiches I have tried new projects. Thanks again
Wow I've been following you for years but never saw this pattern before and I love it!! I'm going to use it to make a cardigan!! Thank you so much!! You are an amazing teacher and I love your patterns & videos! Could you please let me know the pattern multiple for this? I'm guessing X4 but just wanted to make sure. Thank you again so much!! 😊❤️🙏🏻🧶
I was never any good at reading patterns but absolutely LOVE your tutorials. Thank you so much. I have make a few crocheted items. I am working up this infinity scarf and wanted to know if you could do a fan stitch hat video.
I love your scarves. Can you do tutorials on how to make beanies(kids, men, women), gloves (with covers that can become mittens), leg warmers, and short neck wraps. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to more of your crocheting projects. :-)
Can you please show me how to weave end and connect this scarf? I've been looking around but I can't find any tutorial or instruction in specific to this stich. I love all of your tutorials, especially how to make scarves and cows. I'm planing to make some scarves for myself as well as Christmas gifts for my relative. Please help me, I'm a beginner in crochet. I really appreciate your works, and thank you so much for your help :).
It's really cool! I would try it a couple days latter. :) You are awesome but I'm not quite understand some specific words in the vedio. Cause I'm a Chinese. I still love ur scarf sincerely! ^_^
Beautiful work! You are an excellent teacher. It is very easy to understand your instruction! If one were to make a throw or blanket using this pattern, what multiples would you use to go wider? Thank you for your time and great work!
HELP! This pattern is beautiful. I love it. However, when I go to slip stitch the “ends” together, they’re not the same! The end is larger than the foundation chain. And this isn’t the first time I’ve encountered this problem. Please give me instructions! Thanks!
I will go up 1 hook size for my chain then go down to the recommended size for the rest. That helps the beginning from "shrinking", then count your stitches on each row, frog if necessary.
I'm a beginner at crocheting and I'm on a chunky yarn kick. Do you think it would still turn out well if I use a thick yarn like the Wool Ease Thick & Quick and a bigger hook? I know the overall scarf would be bigger so maybe I could do 4 fans across instead of 5?
I have an idea to use TWO colours - solid green and solid yellow yarns to somewhat make a 'camouflage' pattern? Do you think two strands of yarns worked together would come out nicely? It would be a bit bulky, right?
I think it would be bulkier, depending on the yarn weight. I would recommend making a swatch to see if it looks the way you want it to look, I usually do that and it is extremely helpful. Love your idea too...so creative! :)
I am like the idea but I will made more chain in the initial 23 to 25 and The first fan in the 7 chain . The made similar one DC first and then the first fan and finish this road with one DC . That made more easy next road
So does it mean the multiple of 4 chain? I have Lion brand Homespun, would it work for this pattern? If so, do I still use 6 mm hook? How's about 6.5 mm hook? Thank you very much
Do you think this will work in cotton? It's skeins in which 50 grams become 75 meters, pure cotton (DMC). For a summer (long straight rectangular) wrap. Thanks!
+Cindy Dwyer It can! You'll just have to make a very long starting chain and join your chain together with a slip stitch to start. From there you can begin working rounds. :)
Is the pattern repeat on this? I would like it wide enough so that I could drape it over my head, when necessary. Thank you for your pattern and video.
monica steele You can use whatever yarn you want to for almost anything. But no you don't need a specific size yarn for this. I usually buy lion brand heartland yarn. I've crocheted for a few years.
I'm a little confused on what brand of yarn you used for your scarf. You said the "original" scarf was Lion Brand, but yours I'm not sure if it was also Lion Brand or were you just naming the color?
Sorry for any confusion! By original I meant the finished (gold) scarf that I showed in the beginning of the video...that one is crocheted in Lion Brand's Heartland yarn in the "Shenandoah" colorway. For the tutorial I do in the video with the green yarn, I used Vanna's Choice in the "Kelly" colorway. Here's the original written pattern for more info if you need it: fiberflux.blogspot.com/2013/11/free-crochet-patterngold-leaf-infinity.html Happy crocheting!

Do you keep chaining 3 to begin each row? (On the turning chain). Thanks
Excellent video 🙋👍
How do you think this would work as a blanket?
If I wanted to make this wider for a cowl what are the multiples please? Thank you
Lovely pattern. Could this be done in the round?
Beautiful! I would like to adjust the size of the cowl. Can you tell me what the multiples are for this pattern?
Love the look of this. Do you have a video that shows how to change yarn with this pattern?
What are the multiples? I love your tutorials!
Can you please show me how to weave end and connect this scarf? I've been looking around but I can't find any tutorial or instruction in specific to this stich. I love all of your tutorials, especially how to make scarves and cows. I'm planing to make some scarves for myself as well as Christmas gifts for my relative. Thank you so much ❤️😊💕
Gorgeous!
It's really cool! I would try it a couple days latter. :)
You are awesome but I'm not quite understand some specific words in the vedio.

Thanks!
That is normally due to incorrect stitch count being increased. Normally when turning
I will go up 1 hook size for my chain then go down to the recommended size for the rest. That helps the beginning from "shrinking", then count your stitches on each row, frog if necessary.
multiple of how much must be the chain for the scarf?
Hello! Can you tell me the multiples of this scarf for the beginning chain? I want it a little longer than the 23 chains thank you!!
Hello, can you show the spring colors and patterns that may be used for spring 2016. thank you
Thank you very much
thanks for sharing
I'm a beginner at crocheting and I'm on a chunky yarn kick. Do you think it would still turn out well if I use a thick yarn like the Wool Ease Thick & Quick and a bigger hook? I know the overall scarf would be bigger so maybe I could do 4 fans across instead of 5?
Katie Smith You can do it that way. I usually make my scarves a little smaller so I don't use as much yarn unless I have too.
beautiful
great pattern to make our gannny hands put to good use jd sunshine
Can you let me know what the multiple is. I'd like to make a blanket. Thank you❤

What are the doubles for this? I'd love to make this into a shawl of sorts. Thanks.
oh goodie! i think i have the perfect skein for this! ;)
if I wanted to make for a toddler - which size do you recommend. I want to make a "mom and toddler set"
I am like the idea but I will made more chain in the initial 23 to 25 and The first fan in the 7 chain . The made similar one DC first and then the first fan and finish this road with one DC . That made more easy next road
if you want to make it wider how many chains do I make
Penny Porras I know it’s a late reply but one lady said to do multiples of 4 plus 3.
Hope this helps you even though it’s way after
Can I make a shawl with this design.
Hello and thank you! May I ask the begging chain is multiple of 2+1?
Can I do this as a blanket?
Hello! love your patterns and you explain things very well and in a lovely manner......I am wondering, do you block all of your work?
So does it mean the multiple of 4 chain? I have Lion brand Homespun, would it work for this pattern? If so, do I still use 6 mm hook? How's about 6.5 mm hook?
Thank you very much
Do you think this will work in cotton? It's skeins in which 50 grams become 75 meters, pure cotton (DMC). For a summer (long straight rectangular) wrap. Thanks!
what kind of yarn is I love the color
Thanks for your question, I used Lion Brand's Heartland Yarn in the Shenandoah colorway...hope that helps!
+Fiber Flux also, the color, bryce's canyon works well
Can this be worked in the round? I know this question has been asked but I didn't see any reply..
+Cindy Dwyer It can! You'll just have to make a very long starting chain and join your chain together with a slip stitch to start. From there you can begin working rounds. :)
Thank you
Is the pattern repeat on this? I would like it wide enough so that I could drape it over my head, when necessary. Thank you for your pattern and video.
can you make this in a narrower size for a kid?
Can I use size 6 Super Bulky Lion Brand or do I need a specific sized yarn?
