What a brilliant combination this work has, and each of the artists performed at the top of their bent as well. No squeals or screams from the clarinet either. Thank you very much for this download.
You can view the full performance on our website, RUclips we only show single movements. Here is the link: www.chambermusicsociety.org/watch-and-listen/video/2017-video-archive-1/brahms-trio-in-a-minor-for-clarinet-cello-and-piano-op-114/
My son is a music ed. major in the UW-EAU CLAIRE music dept. and is hoping to perform this trio on a recital next spring on clarinet and with his uncle on cello. His uncle earned a master's and doctorate on cello at Northwestern University, recently retired after 34yrs from the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, 25yrs as principal cellist in the Central City Opera Orchestra (Colorado).
It’s just pure Brahms. No technique here. Music, passion and devotion. Brahms would be proud. I find also the pianist fantastic for being a team player and not an artillery gunman smashing the chords just because he can. Go listen to the whole thing please
One of the best living clarinetists
Anthony McGill!!! Nice!!!

Needs. More. Piano.
I think it’s technically really good but maybe not the right sounds for Brahms.
Please elaborate. I am trying to learn more.
