I'm standing here completely stunned because I just now sat down to find someone that had a recipe for homemade gesso. There you were to my rescue. I'm making it now. TYFS this. Old school gesso, formulated with fine powdered marble, is expensive and very durable. But, it's great for adding "snow", or texture to arts & crafts. Thinned out a bit, I've made alot of projects for miniature houses -- faux foods, "cement" planters/sidewalks/ brick mortar, plastered interior walls, and stucco exteriors.

Is it ok to use ground up human bone to replace calcium carbonate?
