- We are comparing the Gopro Hero 11 Black to last year's Hero 10. As well as the DJI Osmo Action. Is the Gopro 11 really an upgrade over the 10 or DJI? The sensor isn't actually bigger, just taller. Can you see the difference between 10 bit and 8 bit? Not a lot of new specs.

The 11 seemed better in the eyes when it got dim and the the 240 was less blinky. It was a very small difference but noticeable
Not a fan of the filters you screwed on. Doesn't look so hot. Makes the image a bit too blurry.

I love my 10. As most have said i don't think the 11 gives enough improvements to upgrade, but maybe next year or the year after
10 seems to pop a bit more. I also prefer the colours on the 10

Now you’re making me want to get an action camera. Might go with the Action 3 for battery life and I guess less overheating.
In the end with GoPro, we just get slight improvements over the previous model. Although you have to give it to them in term of action cam image quality. Are you planning to review the insta360 X3, I think this time you may be convinced! It may not have as good image quality but at least they are pushing the envelope!

That natural filter is genius. Instantly add 35 years to your subject. I think it would be useful for making monster movies. HV was fun because your hand grew to the size of a house. Fortunately, that selfie stick kept that dangerous instrument at a safe distance. The dji footage appeared to be in focus. That could ruin your reputation. That's a joke, I think. Dji killed the gopro cameras, buried them, and spit on their Graves.
Then the dji dug them up again, pounded them into powder with the Canon cripple hammer, lit them on fire and put it out by peeing on them.

@@markwalker8374 I don't know. Maybe they are cheaper? Maybe the batteries last? I guess they are made to stick to a helmet, followed by skateboarding, surfing, rock climbing or the like. I am not impressed with using them for vlogging.

I think I will use natural more for a monster movie.

Hilarious as always. The 11 looked better although I was surprised how bad natural looked. But clearly the hyperview isn't meant for flogging on the sidewalk. Saw someone using it for mountain biking and it looked really cool.
Great video. Keep'in it real. Not sure there is a winner. Been testing out my 11 and I think my settings are giving me really good shots. Sub'd and gave you a big thumbs up. How bout some tests on a sunny day!
As much as I like my Hero 7, it's the GoPro Hero 11 MINI is what I really want...along w/ many other materialistic things.

At this point upgrading your GoPro is the same as upgrading your phone. Its fractionally better. So you don't notice the changes as much but if you haven't upgraded in a few generations its a massive upgrade. If you're going from a 7/8 to the 11 its basically a completely different camera
so your saying I should upgrade my 5 :) 1440p is not good enough anymore ??? lol :þ would love to upgrade but find the gopro to be to expensive, have a good day
@@nixxinn yes expensive but depends how much you think a quality video from an action camera is worth. I had a 5 and rarely used it because stabilization just wasn’t good enough. Got a 10 and it is amazing. You can do whatever and it will just look stable and good.

Action camera for vlogging, yes! I’d go for Osmo Action 3 + DJI Mic. That would be an awesome set up.

less "banding" on the right one (the sky is more random/less "horizontal" lines)? more colours (face is less dark)?

You need the Volta tripod and the Peak design kit POV to put the hero camera in your shoulder. I bought the go pro 11, my first one go pro to renew my old Sony x3000, big shoes to fill!. Saludos from Mexico.

Hyperview/Superview modes are targeted more for the action sports POV to deliver an "epic" look and scale. They work when you want to do POV on snowboarding and mountain biking not so much for vlogging.
Yeah, my goalie (hockey) uses it in super wide. He sticks it to the glass right behind him and he can see himself, and all the threats coming in.
@@david.stachon those scenarios work well in my opinion. I love using Superview for snowboarding so you can see the expanse of a mountainside etc.
I feel like its a good view for a vr head set where the image wraps like your natural vision does. I just sat really close to my monitor to try to imagine it. It was ok.

Somehow I missed this video 2 days ago. FWIW the Hero 11 is better than my Hero 8. I only use GoPro in an emergency nowadays (i.e. both my Canons are either in use or unavailable).
PLEASE HELP WITH FX30, NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THAT:
- The 1080p is any good?
- If i want to use 120p i'm stuck with a huge crop in 4k or 8bit 4:2:0 in full hd?
- It records Gyro data? For good post stabilization?
- Why sony used a freaking 26MP sensor in a camera that only does 4k and has basically no photography mode???
- Is it worth the upgrade from the a6400?

What I want is a higher dynamic range like one og the log formats from higher end cameras. Without that, 10 bit is kind of wasted.

To be honest I don t see why I would change my gopro 9 with max lens mode with any lf these two. Same with my insta x2 , as they smdo the job great for my holidays and for my cycling. Cheers for this clip 👍

11 was better, but only slightly... definitely better dynamic range anyway, and the colours, well that's more a subjective thing, but I think the 11 just wins there too, the orange cast is s lightly off-puting on the 10. I'd certainly not upgrade to the 11 if I had the 10 already though. And yes, the DJI still looks decent.

Love your vids, you just deliver it in a special way. So funny. Last gopro was the Hero 5 got the dji action 1 and dji osmo pocket 1. Gopro seemed to have peaked at the 9, and the constant freezing and lost footage. I love my osmo action but stabilisation not the best when ND filters on.
I like the 11 skin tones better. I have the 10 and it makes my skin yellow, which I don't like. I have the sharpness on low because the image is usually over sharpened with these cameras. I also don't like how the 10 makes the face appear a bit soft compared to the 11. It might just be my preference, but I like the 11.

They tweaked the color profiles and released the same thing haha. Also I think GP11 had a smudge on the lens...
if you don't mind - I'd like to see gopro11+"1.33X Anamorphic Lens Compatible with Gopro Hero 9 10 11". I'm sure you would find good use for it.

Yes. They overheat in 30 minutes @ room temp.
GoPro stabe is amazing except the weeble wobble of foreground subject ( vlogging). Can't get past the wiggling look.
Definitely, the GoPro 11 is better than the 10, though it is slightly better! The BPM filter helped!
Hyperview shows your best side. Always use it. 😢
