People saying Ricky Starks was a KnockOff of The Rock, just a few weeks back, just kinda shows that the remark (insult or not) was being pushed to land AnyWhere the IWC was gonna get it to stick.
There's a small chance WWE or Eli Drake intentionally did it, maybe even after subconsciously hearing that Ricky was getting a bit over. L.A. Knight knew he already had a very similar voice.

Really? This is the most strange time to comment this when Roman literally got pinned in his last match, and the Uso’s looked extremely strong throughout.
Even without that though, Roman has retained the title consistently with the help of the Bloodline. Their have been numerous occasions where he looked beat, and needed help to win. This helps his opponents look strong.
You don’t need win every match to look strong. It’s why I hate the fact people say a wrestler is buried after losing a single match.
Roman has done a fantastic job of making his opponents look strong during matches, it’s their booking afterwards which hasn’t

I disagree about plugging him into the main event right now. Not saying that he should not be in the main event, I think a slower build to the main event is the best path. He needs a run with the US Title, this needs to include a match against Gunther at Survivor Series in a cross promotional match at. Once he loses the US Title that is the time to put him into the main event scene. My point on this is that you want to have him so over for a main event that it blows the roof off of a Wrestlemania Venue.

I also think it's a matter of how homogenized and boring wrestling has become. LA Knight is a combination of a throwback and a breath of fresh air from the shit stacking up. It's creatives fault that alot of performers don't get over. A big reason LAK is being put under some scrutiny is because he's succeeding in spite of creative. @soupkiwi345 The point has merit. If you look back the Rock wrestled full time from November 1996 until he started taking big breaks away for acting roles in April 2001. He was “around” to an extent from 02-04 but sparingly since he began to fully focus on acting. And I don’t fault the dude for that it clearly was the right call. But if we’re real about it the rock wrestled full time for less than five years before he began taking huge chunks of time away to begin his acting career. Taking inspiration from him is a non issue and something wrestling has done throughout time. Even the Rock himself began with inspiration of Deion Sanders with the third person thing. People whining about LA Knight is another example of how a lot of wrestling fans seem to refuse to be happy with anything. Fans yearn for the attitude era but when a guy uses it to inspire his persona it’s an issue because now it’s a copy cat. If people like it then who gives a damn honestly.

Steve Austin got the idea for his gimmick from a New York mob guy called Richard Kuklinski. Hogan, Flair, Steiner and Triple H were influenced by Superstar Billy Graham. Ric Flair took Buddy Rodgers’ gimmick and ran with it. Triple H evolved in to The Game after watching Shane Douglas on ECW. RVD was the wrestling version of Jean Claude Van Damme. His best pal Razor Ramon (RIP) was wrestlings answer to Tony Montana. Sting took Brandon Lee’s “The Crow” character and made it his own. Oh and get this…

I used to like Nash, but his podcast really turned me against him. To the point where I can’t even listen to it. Talk about Wokey Wokerson… lol.
And Disco is absolutely right about LA Knight. I could tell when he first debuted in Impact as Drew Galloway’s stable, that he had “it”.

@@BigPoppaPun hahaha, Bro… you hit the bullseye on that one. Those two give each other a run for their money, for most ridiculous political beliefs. I can’t listen to Cornette’s podcast either. Even if they didn’t talk politics, Cornette’s co-host is soooo annoying, and thinks he’s as big a star as Cornette is. If they just kept the conversations about wrestling, I MIGHT be able to listen. But I muted Cornette years ago on RUclips, and did the same for Nash after the second or third show I listened to. “Everything woke turns to shit” 😂😂😂

One of the reasons people gravitated to wrestlers like CM punk and even Ziggler to some extent, was because they had huge personalities that were similar to wrestlers that were over(CM Punk - Austin, Ziggler -HBK). Montez also has huge potential to be that guy because he has a personality

A 6'10" ish tall man, around 30, trying his hand at pro wrestling, gets a couple of gimmicks made for him and it just doesn't click! I felt for the fella. He seemed to be struggling with his confidence and I empathized with him, was even rooting for him. He gets another character to play and it works better. Cool. This guy gets noticed by a key player in another organization, he goes there, gets their giant publicity machine behind him and does quite well. Then he goes back to the other company where new leaders come in, makes an ass-load of coin and tries to help put the other company out of business. Hmmm 🤔 I don't think the tall fella would be a multi-millionaire if he were 5'11" ish. It's just business right?
