EARL SKAKEL talks about how THE ROCK effected WWE's booking plans for STING vs TRIPLE H ruclips.net/video/fAmewivYUes/видео.html
I love that Disco is talking about this while completely drunk
And partially deaf
Lol
@@schnarfschnarf5886 but certainly disco.
Razor was and is and always will be the man. That dude and nash were rock stars 4 life
I didn’t think Disco drank at all
I love how Konan zones out during Disco's rants 🤣
What was the question?
I never liked Konnan in-ring but he's a great guy, always loved the industry.
Yeah Disco certainly sounds ramped up on something... but he could also be 100% sober and just antsy as hell... hard to tell. I hope he's okay.
@jayarebee that's just his goofy nature l
If had to here that lispy jabroni voice everyday i would do more then zone out.
Anyone says anything. Konnan-"what was the question?"
the video version adds more to this mystery
Yep and tbh, its starting to get beyond grating on the nerves. You have a podcast in hopes of additional revenue stream for your retirement period - act like you deserve it and pay tf attention Konnan. And if its CTE-related or whatever, then share that so critical bastards like me aren't spouting incessantly about your short-comings because you seemingly refuse to act like a professional, yet expect an audience anyway.
@@Godwin420 they’re all drunk/stoned af

"What's the question? Cause you kinda rambled." 😂😂 💯 Konnan
Lmao he said that twice I thought the video started over lol
it's said quite often
Disco: rambles for 10 minutes, then says konnan what do you think? Konnan: What's the question? Lol!!
Disco might of ''rambled'', but he still knows what he's talking about. He's seen his fair share of shite, without needing Konnan's input.
@@rileyshagga2356 No difference than Konnan in the ring... he's boring. Hell he was probably nodding off on something or really doesn't like Glen... I thought they were friends but have heard different.
@jayarebee you've heard BS they been friends for years, if they didn't like each other this podcast would be nonexistent years ago
I dunno if i'd call it rambling cause yeah he did a monologue there, but it made sense what he was saying and coherent
they once found blood in scott hall's alcohol stream
Damn
Lame
I typically agree with discos points, but my god is he horrible at expressing his thoughts sometimes
Because he’s a moron.
What’s the question
He articulates the same point the same way 10x
I love K Dog and Disco they’re such an unlikely couple but I love them. They feed off each other well, they remind me of the same dynamic as me and my best friend josh who I have known since 4th grade. I’m now 37.
I agree they're a good contrast and both real veterans with experience of such significant times in wrestling. And they don't mince words, way more credible than Meltzer and Alvarez.
Nobody cares about you or your weirdo friend Josh!!! Any other stupid stories you care to share with absolutely no one who gives af????
His character, and the speaking cadence of his character, starting with the Razor Ramon gimmick, lent itself to disguising his impairment through that "laid back Cuban cool guy" talk that he did. If you think about it, if you didn't know Scott Hall's voice cadence, and you just closed your eyes and listened to him talk, you could easily confuse him for a drunk guy rambling on.
Hall wasn't hooked in WWE
@@KeepinIt100OFFICIAL Huh? You sure about that? Weren't him and Michaels and Pac bombing somas together, and drinking a lot, during that WWF/E run together? I have heard shoot interview stories of them riding together doing somas and partying.

Another insightful talk by DI - thanks man. I’ve listened since you guys began and this is the best. When I get paid I’m doing Patreon
Rest In Peace Scott Hall, the bad guy will live forever!
8:50 I’ll take 15 min matches twice a week taking back bumps for 20 years over working in hot, humid conditions, back breaking skilled labor on a roof day after day.
I’m not trying to down play what wrestlers go thru but DI clearly never met anyone in the trades.
People with rock star lifestyles will always say anything they can to excuse rock star behaviors. Is everything they said completely valid and feasible? Hell yeah. Does that pale in comparison to what you just offered up and I don't see rampant rock star behaviors from those skilled laborers - sure it exists here and there, but not at anything close to wrestling levels with a majority of all people in it under the influence in one form or fashion. You just dropped the biggest logic bomb on this subject that I hope all wrestlers eventually admit internally to themselves (you will *never* hear that from any of 'em).
and how would you know this until you try it?
@@KeepinIt100OFFICIAL I may not have been a wrestler, but I certainly had a period of time that could be described as a rock star lifestyle and it would have been even more difficult had I been a wrestler as I would likely suffer from similar pitfalls of shit choices along the way. It doesn't change the fact that unlike 99% of retired wrestlers, I own my actions and don't toss a million excuses at them in an attempt to justify said actions. I hope you understand the clear difference. It starts off with excusing stupid decisions nets stupid reward for pain pills, or drinking, or coke, or anything similar. Then it encapsulates the Bitch-Benoit decisions. Where will it end?
@Craig Adams LLL = usually fat and unhealthy? Your own words betray your lack of intelligence. Quit with the broad strokes because maybe that statement applied to your dad you despise or some shit (idc to hear whom or why). Despite that bit of foolish...idk exactly, but despite it - wtf does that have to do with what is being discussed? Did working out a lot justify a billion shit decisions by wrestlers? Drinking is now at the level of drinking + pills + coke + steroids + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + ?!
Some of you are foolish in your generalizations and stereotyping. Making assumptions about people in ANY industry, including "the trades", is foolish, especially if you haven't worked in the trades (and I have not but have many friends and relatives who have). Maybe you should chill out in thinking you can label EVERYONE in ANY industry with your condescending assessments.
I wonder if disco can comprehend the level of pain involved with trying to understand his comment? I need a couple somas and beers now myself. 🤤
@Peter Stevenson yeah to each there own. Thought it was funny.
which one, you dope? Time stamp it

Hell, it isn't even just the insults.. you can't carry an argument for shit, yet either instigate or add fuel to the fire and in the process also succeed in looking dumber along the way while doing so (what do you mean too much water is bad - see farther down the comments for those wondering at that reference). Would you rather hope to grow this for them and yourself, or do you not care about that by taking the low road with your retorts half the time?

Great topic and discussion. Disco is so lit.
completely drunk
I zone out when Disco leads the conversation just like Konnan does.
Can always trust Disco to take a great question and go rambling off instead of answering it. Was actually excited to hear a direct answer.
He basically did. He didn’t notice anything with hall because everybody did it. Scott Hall wasn’t anything special.
If you painted Disco's face there on the side of a building, everybody in town would slowly go nuts.
people would bring their dogs there for a rest stop.
Like the "oBey Andre the Giant gimmick. =Need to make a few "Disco" stencils and sell on eBay
Well I'm happy that Konnan and Scott Hall are okay and still alive. That's one for the good guy's.
Scott Hall if he was clean would have been a top 5 wrestler of all time. Listening to his shoots, he is brilliant and it’s a complete education of the business. Never seen a wrestler that had his look, charisma, promo skills, in ring talent, and psychology to control a crowd all at the highest level possible. He was great.
Strange how Konnan was tight with Kevin Nash at one point and on the other end Disco was tight with Scott Hall
I wanna thank all the wrestlers out there putting their bodies on the line for our entertainment. And the keepin it 100 crew having these tough conversations explaining the pain you are feeling. I like this crew you have Konan the legend. Disco the jobber and joe the fan giving their different perspective on topics.
Amazing PodCast that explains quite a few things Wrestlers go thru. A Corona and a Lime will fix most pain.

I've been clean/sober for over 10 years and one common thing among addicts is a drug having the opposite effect than it usually has on a normal person. An example is downers like xanax/painkillers boosting your energy or your mood instead of knocking you out. Addicts also commonly enjoy side effects that a normal person finds uncomfortable
or don't really enjoy it, but we're extremely self-destructive.
Yeah that’s true. Eddie Van Halen partied every second and was still incredible I always said the same thing” was he that wasted while playing amazing guitar licks? Unbelievable
not always, those later 90s tours of VH are a mess
@@KeepinIt100OFFICIAL not always I concur but like in the 80’s maybe early 90’s yeah Eddie was at an-all time low mid to late 90’s but before that incredible on the guitar and he was hammered all the time I couldn’t get trashed like that and so one good show lol never the less multiple ones. Some guys in-think are extra special and blessed with incredible talent I guess who knows? 🤷♂️ just glad the footage is there for us to e joy

@@BBULLSHlT that’s imperialistic. In some religions, it’s forbidden to do drugs. I live in America. I think it should be federal legal. But I’m no doper. I use CBD though. The only reason the Democrats want it legal is because of the tax $. In California they tax the hell out it.

Does Disco ever let someone finish speaking??
From what I've heard, quite a few of the younger performers these days are not so much into hard drugs and alcohol, maybe weed but some are straight edge vegan, they take care of their bodies more and there's definitely less partying than before because they're more into videogames, social media, movies and tv shows... it's apparently very different from 10-15-20 years ago.
which is weirder because the younger guys today are working way, way less safe than the 90s style
@@KeepinIt100OFFICIAL but they may take better care of their bodies otherwise. I have a couple of friends who work the indies in Europe and apparently doing yoga, stretching and stuff like that is very common and they watch a lot what they eat and how they work out. There's a lot of emphasis on cardio rather than muscle gain and lifting, that's why there's not many big guys anymore and the big guys are like the small ones were 20 years ago. It's a different era I guess.
And they suck..Not even close to being as entertaining as 80s and 90s Wrestlers
even in 2021, Hall still looks like a badass compared to modern wrestlers. Put Kenny Omega beside Razor Ramon.
I am not a fan of the "modern little guy" performer, and not a fan of Omega, BUT in all fairness Scott Hall is a naturally big guy, and back when he was Magnum Scott Hall in AWA he was HUGE, so comparing a guy next to Scott Hall probably isn't the fairest comparison.
😂
I noticed on Starrcade 90 (?) Konnan had a lot of backne. Maybe he doesn’t think gear is a drug?
all wrestlers should be on gear
he's admitted that he used to abuse steroids
I think Konnan definitely separates the roids from the recreational drugs they were talking about, but Konnan has def admitted to using the gas
Konan is spot on here. This isn't purely a steroid issue. It was coke, pain pills, steroids, somas, injuries etc etc etc
Great video, Disco dropping knowledge and shooting from the hip. and that irish producer is good 2. Smash that Like button smarks.
have to take stuff for pain basically everyday now in varying amounts. I’m not a wrestler or anything, but I’m in different types and degrees of pain EVERYDAY. I can relate to the reality of actually needing them regularly and it being an abnormal feeling if I have a day where i wake up not in pain. It’s very rare at this point that I ever have a day with no pain, so my normal physical and mental state… is pain. I have major sympathy for anyone who lives their life in pain everyday, it’s absolutely DRAINING and miserable. It’s also just such a downer sometimes to try to go to sleep in pain, while being 100% sure that it’ll still be there when you wake up. Hopefully one day I won’t have to but for now… I have the 90s wrestlers reality. Great segment K100 crew, idk how I missed it when it was posted originally.
It makes you think why modern wrestling is a bland product filled with tatted up bearded acrobats. There's no destructive personalities anymore. No one wants to see wrestlers fall down the Scott Hall hole but you can't help but feel it was because of those wild, tortured personalities that it made wrestling more exciting to watch. Now everything is so uniformed and sterile because the product is so corporate. Everything looks the same.
Takes disco forever to get to the point but he makes good points once he gets there. Konnan had me cracking up though…what’s the question 😂😂😂
Regarding what DI was saying from clips 3:23 to 3:37, one night I was taking a shower and
I slipped while in the tub and fell onto a hard tile floor on my back but the funny thing about
it is, as I was falling an image of the Undertaker appeared in my head along with the word
Chokeslam and I remembered seeing how anyone who was choke slammed by Taker would
spread their both arms out as they landed and I did just that and afterwards got up with no
pain whatsoever. Watching wrestling saved me from potentially suffering a serious injury.
Love your show amazing.
Very interesting. Great stuff guys. Even without pills the vibration the body takes from the extreme impacts in wrestling is bad for the organs including heart. The body is not designed for these extremes and repetion of them. I have a lot of respect for what you do 👊🇮🇪
I'm not a wrestler but my lower back is bad, my knees are starting to give me hassle as well
The weed issue was also it used to get tested for and it sticks in your system 10x longer than all the hard-core stuff
I love these insigts about the pills from wrestlers, I have take upwards of 10 - 15 pills for day for epilepsy and things. Also I take painkillers etc. its a weird sensation to have that necessity
prescribed?

Konnan; what was the question you kinda rambled. Lol 😂
Disco: “Crack.”
Conan: “What?!?”
Disco has a point about the steroid/drug combo. When I think about it, most of those guys that died young were on both. All of them had physiques. There were virtually none that didn't.
I wonder if it gave him energy or it just masked his pain.
A lot of ppl get rush off opioids depending in tolerance. His size and weight it makes at his peak of use he could do 12.
Scott hall? He’s done over 30 before
By 2002 Hall was wrestling Spike Dudley on RAW with his jeans and nWo shirt on.
There’s at least 50+ guys who would probably still be alive today if the opiate/benzo crises were noticed 25 years earlier and cannabis was more accepted.
@Peter Stevenson
I’m not, I also stated that people should have been educated about the dangers of opiate and benzodiazepine use and abuse.
@Peter Stevenson that stupid “gateway” drug thing is 1930s propaganda
@Peter Stevenson
You’re not wrong but you’re not correct either. If you’re a successful person who uses cannabis, it’s not the flower that made you successful. Equally, if you’re a lazy, unmotivated person who uses cannabis, that’s exactly what you are; a lazy, unmotivated person using cannabis.
who's the 4th one?
@Peter Stevenson You could say the same thing about alcohol.
what’s with the slo motion zoom out mark
It's not uncommon for people to build a tolerance to pills to. Which is why some can take 20 or 30 pills a day and some cant. But painkillers will give u energy sometimes. If you have pain the absence of real pain can be a high. People will abuse anything though. Sadly it's in man's nature to often destroy themselves.

With all due respect disco I know the levels of pain you're talking about wrestling in college and doing martial art for years . Now there is never a time when something isn't aching . Point being I wasn't a worker but I completely understand . Btw in another 2 months I'll be off drugs for 5 years .
All wrestlers have my upmost respect. No occupation is more physically demanding.
"What's the question?" haha.
Didn’t Nash introduce Hall to the substances? I wonder if Kev feels responsible
No. Hall said on the Steve Austin podcast that he never drank until after age 30 and that he got into pills and booze on the road with The freebirds and Curt Hennig.
I am a smaller guy compared to most wrestlers, trained to work matches, and I stopped. The pain accumulates quickly. Especially when these “giants” want to look tough on a little fellow like me for the crowd.
Disco definitely has a point. Steroids cause high blood pressure, a problem that probably went untreated for most of the wrestlers of yesteryear. That coupled with cocaine use led to many a wrestlers checking out with heart issues earlier than expected. Mr. Perfect and Eddie Guerrero are textbook examples of this.
some wrestlers are medically prescribed steroids, those who use non-prescription usually take the wrong stuff
I think it was the drugs party life being on the road 300 some odd days a year steriods and hgh use
@@KeepinIt100OFFICIAL
Doctors haven’t legally prescribed steroids for decades. If you’re talking trt, test isn’t a steriod. Neither is GH, although a doctor with a moral compass isn’t handing those scripts out to wrestlers in their 30’s.
The damage done by high blood pressure from steroids can’t be undone. This is the reason bodybuilders stay in top of this with medications or by donating blood. This subject gets deep but I’ll just leave it at steroids and cocaine, especially at the same time, WILL take years and sometimes decades off of a person’s life.
@UCMKhoyDZMsom0e6IVudKCMg You idiot, test is a steroid. It's testosterone and is legally prescribed. HGH is not a steroids but it is a synthetic hormone like test that is prescribed or used for many reasons. Blood pressure is not a side effect every person who uses testosterone or the multitude of different steroids has and even then is not a gigantic issue. It is more down to each person's body.

the crazy part about old school WWF is that they had to wrestle like 3 times a week so they never gave their body a chance to heal. it’s no wonder so many wrestlers turned to drugs to kill the pain.

Nfl players have an early death rate also during the 80s 90s era of players. A lot of overdoses in wrestling people dying early but the early heart attaches and sun is just like the nfl players has a lot to do with the impact on repeated hits put a strain on the heart. @@KeepinIt100OFFICIAL everyone is addicted to something that don't mean he wasn't in control
It shouldn’t be weird that most guys are using weed instead of pills. It should’ve been the norm all along.
I think pro wrestling has always needed an off season of 2 to 3 months. It would've allowed these guys time to heal, recover mentally as well as physically from wrestling as well as traveling, and I think there would have been a lot less addictions to drugs which in turn has caused and contributed to a lot of early unnecessary deaths.
They could give the top guys off for the holidays and feature guys that usually don’t get TV time but then they’d probably get less money from USA.
@MJ Laws I forgot I left this comment. Yes back in the day those guys never had an off season and over time it just beat their bodies to hell. I agree, I think some of the undercard talent could've been featured more regular for a month or so possibly working into a storyline/feud. May not have drawn as well, but bringing the main players back in after a 6 week off season would've more than made up for it, because the fans would be hungry to see their favorite wrestlers. I think the schedule is easier today vs 30 to 40 yrs ago.
The problem is Steroids and Pills and sleeping pills all together is what does it
