I am not a psychologist but I've known enough orphans in my life to say that Flair has typical orphan behaviors. An inability to maintain relationships. An extremely low self-esteem that is hidden by false confidence. A serious issue with truly connecting on a deeper level with people. High risk behaviors. A need for constant attention. Why do you think he was so close with Piper? They both had the same stuff going on underneath the surface. Again, I'm not a psychologist but this appears to be the case.

  • @jesterr7133

As has been discussed from time to time, Ric Flair was a Georgia Tann baby. He does not know his true history, or where he came from. My best friend experienced a very similar situation, and does not know his history. He has many of the same issues that Flair seems to. Flair seems to constantly seek the approval of others, abuses substances, and has difficulty forming and maintaining relationships. The impact of that upbringing has definitely had an effect on his psyche, much like it has with my friend. Psychologically speaking, the first few years of a person's life truly determine the trajectory that their life will take. That's why I believe that the most important thing in life is acceptance. I accept people the way they are, and do not force them to be the person I think they should be, or to do the things that I would do. I say that because it is impossible for me to see life through their eyes, or to understand the totality of their experiences. Our experiences shape who we are. That is why we are all different. I think it is important not to judge him for his faults, because it is impossible to know how I would react if I shared his experiences.

It has nothing to do with that. Ric didn't think much of Mexican wrestlers or Mexican people in general, a racist basically. As Ric has gotten older, he has adapted with the times due to racism not being tolerated. His daughter also seems to have a fetish for Mexican men, being that she not only married Andrade, but she also dated Alberto del Rio. As much of a POS Ric is, he does love his daughter so he basically has no choice but to accept it. It's clear as day to see.

Ric's great but let's be honest he was never the greatest wrestler he was good at his style and it worked for him. Ric Flair is a fairly typical narcissist. You’re his best friend when you’re giving to him, whether it be attention or dollars or opportunity. And he’ll give back as long as it’s easy. Once asked to give things that are difficult (self-honesty, sobriety, faithfulness, etc.), he quits the friendship/partnership/marriage.

He was just too green at that point in his career, but I don't think he was as terrible as Disco makes him out to be. I actually enjoyed some of the stuff he did with Crowbar and Daffney. It didn't come to him naturally the way that it did with Charlotte, but I think it could have in time. It's really unfair to compare him or anyone else to Charlotte, because she is one of those talents that comes along once or twice in a generation. She got it from day one, but most people don't.
