Just because your Area stopped playing Pokémon GO doesn't mean other areas in the world aren't playing anymore.

Pokemon GO has 65 million active players, this game is so dead, right? RIGHT??
Lol, on release it had more than 5 times that, plus there is thousands more games on the appstore that have more players than 65mill, I like the game but it is dead. (also active users last check was in January...)
Zachmeh You're looking at it relative to how it was, but in my opinion, if you consider it by itself, 65 million players is by no means dead (and I'm sure it hasn't dropped enough to change that).

Well, pokémon go is still 21th on the top apps by revenue (on android). So that "well its dead" thing is pretty much not true, yet.
David Somoza Domenech 21th is pretty low though, all things concern.
Well, a mobile game still up there 1 year later its all but a failture. That said, its gonna go down and down.

People keeping asking me if Pokémon GO is still active. I say so long as it gets the kids outside and explore, it'll beat a game that teaches kids how to effectively fire an assault rifle or slit someone's throat. (Battlefield)
Joshua Woodward an xbox or ps4 is far from "teaching someone to fire an assault rifle". If you think using a game controller is the same as manipulating a firearm, you're a special kind of stupid
My dad is part of a gun club, I've been around guns and fired my whole life. Shotguns mostly. I have a brother-in law who's a sharpshooter in the army, went to high school with a gun nut, guess what games we played and why???
If you're learning to fire in short bursts for accuracy, or firing long distances and need to compensate for any wind, distance, visual impairments. Clustering on a target. That's learning how to fire effectively, if you're playing games like Battlefield, a combat simulator game where you learn these things, which kids are, I'd call that learn to fire effectively. Those skills are transferrable to the field. The main and most obvious differences are the weapon kick, gun noise and learning how to handle a live firearm over a simulated one.
FPS games are used in military simulators. Radio tactics, group communication and team building are a must in any combat situation. What better way to learn than through a simulation, then again move to the field.

The constant MINOR updates are fucking pointless if the game itself felt very little like any Pokemon game/experience on a console. They needed WAY more to do in it and many more features.
Trading and Trainer battling should've been ready from the start.
NPC battles should be there for some minor training (not a main focus but it matters).
Heck, even things like Minigames and berry picking could've been something to do daily for fun and for PKMN candies.
The grind was too much and too boring for more than a month or two.
Taking advantage of the fact this had over 100 million downloads meant they should've pushed FULL FUCKING FORCE with it and milked the shit out of it as long as they could. Barely anyone I know or in my area plays it compared to how they used to. I KNOW there is a good playerbase, but it would've been far better if they didn't make it too 'travel the world' based and added more addictive gameplay features when it was more relevant. People will say it's irrelevant for a reason now. One of the current fads is APEX Legends e.g.

I've just returned and I'm pleased to see some decent feature updates, but it's STILL too barebones tbh.

I've been wondering about this, they may not be able to patch it out, they probably can, but if they can't I could see them ban the users of it, especially if they see the auto-catch feature as cheating.

i say if you use a Go-tcha then you dont do pokemon on it just like spoofing i hope thay will patch the Go-tcha
How is someone SPOOFING by using Go-tcha? It doesn't give you an ability to spoof your location. If you're talking about "botting" which is where you let software or hardware play it for then yeah you would be kinda correct. You still have to walk physically and in case you didn't know you can put a coin and a rubber band or 2 around the ORIGINAL Pokemon Go Plus and you have automatic features just like Go-Tcha.
I personally use Got-cha just because it looks sleeker and not like a toy.

Can you get banned?
You do know this isn't allowed, right? Enjoy the ban I guess. Any device or software that replaces any user commands is not allowed by the EULA and will result in a ban most likely, as it happens every day in MMO games. I highly doubt the device is very complicated and can easily be detected by the developer, just as every single botting software on MMO's get detected and the user banned. Consider yourself warned.

Brain Glick unlicensed doesn't automatically mean banworthy. Your aren't breaking the EULA if you use a stylus to play the game, which if course would be unlicensed.
Why would they care about a device like this? People still need to walk in order to use it so.
