People often get hung up on Ephesians 2:8-9 and James 2:25-26 However they tend to confuse the fact that works should be a result of salvation and not a prerequisite
Many people stop reading Eph 2:8-9 at verse 9. Keep reading. Verse 10 says we should walk in good works. Yes, we are saved by grace. But we are judged by our works. Rev 20:12
@@jwlindsey The reason people stop at verse 9 is because that's the end of its relevance as far as the topic of salvation. But yes, we should absolutely strive to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.
That’s right. The Bible tells us we were saved to do good works. We are not saved by our works, the Bible tells us our own righteousness is as filthy rags before the Lord.
"An" is an English article. Many languages don't require you to specify plural or not, unlike English. In English you can't say "angel appeared at the tomb" you have to specify plural or not plural ("angels appeared" or "An angel apeared"). When translating a sentence in another language that says something like "Angel (unspecified amount) apeared at the tomb" you have to either translate it as "An angel apeared" or "angels apeared" with the default in translation being "an angel."
I usually use the "My house is moving and not moving at the same time" to explain seemingly contradictions, but like the new ones shared in this video.
@@axxel9626 Sure, if you were to stand outside my house, you would say it is not moving (except for when we had the recent earthquake lol). However, we know that the earth is rotating and orbiting the sun and even our solar system is travelling thru space. So in that sense it is moving. Hope that helps.
@@CarlosAndreyzage of ahaziah please. I do believe it isn’t a contradiction but everyone seems to say smth different. Plus, there are differences in bible translations. One of those theories is true for sure but it’s still hard to defend it
This really helps me SO much really! Could you make more videos like these explaining the so called contradictions in the Bible please? God bless🙏♥️ P.s. you could make a mini series about this cause it is so helpful against muslim and atheist's claims
The only thing that would help you is if the majority of things in the bible are true - they are not. Moses is depicted around 1440 BCE in the bible going into the Sinai - Joshua then continued to "The Promised Land" yet Egypt already ruled these lands to 1150 BCE - so Moses is fiction - which means the rest is fiction
I would also recommend using GotQuestions. Pretty much every argument someone has against the Bible or general question about it they have a piece on it. Helps a lot when talking to Muslims.
Hello Ryan, I have a question. In acts 9:7 it says:They hear the voice but the couldn't see anyone. And in Acts 22:9 it says that they seen the light but they couldn't hear the voice.I am trying to understand this for years now and I couldn't find anything.I've decides to ignore it but is still coming back to me when I get in Acts. Thanks
hi, try reading the NIV version and you'll understand that in acts 9:7, Saulo's companions heard a sound but didn't see anyone. In 22:9, they saw lights but didn't understand the voice. Seeing a light doesn't mean they know it's Jesus Christ. Hearing a sound or voice doesn't mean you understand it. Saulo is the only one who knows and understands because Jesus revealed himself to him. And his companions are unaware of it. Hope this gives you a little light. God Bless you
Great channel, content and delivery. God bless your ministry! Can you shed some light on these seeming contradictions regarding ages of Ahaziah & Jehoiachin? Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem... II Kings 8:26 NKJV Ahaziah was forty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem... II Chronicles 22:2 NKJV Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months... II Kings 24:8 NKJV Jehoiachin was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months and ten days... II Chronicles 36:9 NKJV
Update: I got a response to this via direct Insta msg. He has a vid explaining this, but don’t think posting links are allowed here. Response: “Read the verse (II Chronicles 22:2) in any modern translation of the Bible (eg. ESV, NASB, etc) And it's consistent with II Kings 8:26. Ahaziah was 22 years of age. More manuscripts of the bible have been discovered since the King James Version was translated (including Greek and Syriac manuscripts) which show the age consistent as 22.
It could just be me misunderstanding, but it seems like 2 Kings 9:27-28 contradicts 2 Chronicles 22:9? in 2 Kings, Ahaziah flees from Jezreel towards Beth-haggan, is pursued by Jehu and shot with an arrow. He goes on to Megiddo, and dies there. In 2 Chron, it says that he is found hiding in Samaria, brought to Jehu, and put to death. Would you mind explaining this? Thanks!
Also, it says he flees from Jezreel towards Beth-haggan, but then is shot at the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. Ibleam is south from Jezreel, and Beth-haggan (Megiddo) is to the west of Jezreel. I'm a bit confused how he flees west, is shot in the south, and then makes his way back up to Beth-haggan? This is unrelated to my original comment, just something I noticed.
@@chadkndr He won't answer because he can't. The books of the Prophets and Chronicles contain dozens, if not hundreds, of contradictions. The notion that there are no contradictions requires ignoring the words actually contained in the Bible.

Yep! Love this. Every supposed "contradiction" just reminds me that humans were involved in so many scripture stories from history. If everyone had exactly the same details each time, it would be suspicious and some would say "see, they rehearsed it, it can't be true." If people want to pick apart the reliability of God's Word, they do so on such small hills and minute details.
I was impressed in College with a theology "Professor" who taught bible errors and contradictions as facts... When I actually looked up the verses and did my own study I slowly realized he wasn't that smart. The more I looked at them, I realized he wasn't even a Christian (as he claimed) he was an atheist who had never read the bible...
You start off on the wrong foot by lying. Even the best biblical scholars say there are contradictions in the bible. 1. No. Why list any angels if you're not going to accurately say how many there were? What we have are two separate accounts that don't jibe with each other. That's a contradiction. We would expect the accounts to be identical if they were god inspired as reported. 2. Two completely different accounts of Judas' death. Did he die by hanging or by his guts busting open? Only one cause of death can happen. You can't die by hanging and by having your guts bust open at the same time. 3. Who Joseph's father is is irrelevant, as according to the story, Jesus is not related to Joseph. Neither genealogy would apply to Jesus. 4. That's not a good example of what we call a contradiction. A better one would be claiming men lived to be hundreds of years old when we know that's impossible. 5. This has got to be the worst explanation i've ever heard. The bible doesn't imply different meanings. When it says "he saw" it means viewing with eyes. There's nothing in the passages that indicate a different meaning for "seeing". These are not the most common contradiction. Try the first one, where god gets the order of creation wrong.
The definition of contradiction is simply an inconsistency or discrepancy. No definition states it has to be at the same place or sense, it literally just has to be inconsistent
But it has to be in opposition. Even with your definition, most of these are not contradictions, they’re just misunderstandings. Just because someone may not understand something, doesn’t make it impossible. That’s typically the issue with these “contradictions.”
I challenge anyone here to watch Dan McClellan’s videos debunking this video, and offer a good response - something that isn’t just an attack of character.

3:40 - You're going to have to provide some evidence of this claim before I accept that explanation. Matthew and Luke weren't written in Hebrew. They were written in Greek. They do both use different articles for their descendants (Matthew's "τὸν" to Luke's "τοῦ"), but they are both masculine.

: 1. **Rope Breaking Argument**: - **Contradictory Descriptions**: Matthew 27:5 states that Judas hanged himself. Acts 1:18 describes Judas falling headlong These are fundamentally different descriptions of the same event. If Judas hanged himself and then fell, breaking the rope, this crucial sequence is omitted in both accounts. The explicit lack of a detailed sequence connecting hanging and falling in either account highlights the inconsistency. 2. **Money Usage Argument**: - **Different Actors**: Matthew 27:5-7 clearly indicates that Judas threw the money into the temple and left, and it was the priests who decided to use the money to buy the potter's field. In contrast, Acts 1:18 directly attributes the purchase of the field to Judas. The counter-argument that the priests bought the field in Judas’s name is an interpretative addition not supported by the text itself. The texts attribute the actions to different parties (priests in Matthew, Judas in Acts), which remains a clear discrepancy. These points show that the texts present different narratives about Judas's death and the use of the silver. The rope breaking and money usage arguments require assumptions not backed by the text, highlighting the inconsistencies.
How do you explain when Protestants say "works' have nothing to do with salvation. But in the Bible it says we are commanded to do the Charitable Works of Mercy ?
Because (as a protestant) works are not equal to salvation, they are the fruit of it. ONCE you are saved by trusting in the finished work of the cross, God breathes in to you his spirit and through that holy spirit we find that God begins a process of sanctification of our conduct and desires, as well as our eagerness to do kingdom works like serving and singing and preaching and so on. It's the seed of that gospel that grows the fruits we call works. They are from God and therefore for God. Otherwise those works are just human effort to try and appease God and stay his wrath by presenting our own righteousness (which is where the verses of Matthew 7 come into play). No one will be able to stand before God and present a case for why they deserve entrance into his kingdom based on their works, only by His work on the cross. That is why Christ says "It is Finished" what then can you add if God says it is finished?
@@grimwaffle5272 According to Scripture you cannot be saved unless you do the Charitable Works of Mercy first. These works are not for our justification but for God's..
@aussierob7177 that's false I'm afraid, scripture clearly shows in multiple places that your works DO NOT equate to salvation, nor are they prerequisites for salvation. That would imply you can earn it yourself. In Ephesians 2:8-9 it says "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast." It is NOT our works charitable or merciful that grant us the reward of heaven with the Father but ONLY through the free gift of grace, at the price of the atonement paid by the Son.
@@grimwaffle5272 There are two definitions of "works" One is something a person does of his own accord. The other is something we are commanded to do by Christ in order to be saved.
@@grimwaffle5272 There are 2 meanings when it comes to "works". One is something you do for a person of your own accord.. The other one is something you have to do because Scripture affirms. So you are telling me if God tells you to do something, which is necessary for salvation you are just going to ignore it because God is wrong? You people are blinded by your ignorance of the Scriptures. You pick and choose what makes you comfortable with, ignoring all the rest .
How seriously does one take the Bible when trying to press univocality on it just for the sake of doctrine? You will miss the gems in it. Like Dr. McClellan's response videos, nothing needs to be added.

2.samuel 10:18 The Syrians fled before Israel; and David killed of the Syrians [the men of] seven hundred chariots, and forty thousand horsemen, and struck Shobach the captain of their host, so that he died there. 1 Chronicles 19:18 The Syrians fled before Israel; and David killed of the Syrians [the men of] seven thousand chariots, and forty thousand footmen, and killed Shophach the captain of the host.
No, that definitely does not explain away Judas' contradiction. In one he throws the money at their feet and leaves, then hangs himself. He did not "aquire" a field even if it was bought in his name. Unless you completely change the definition of "aquire." In the 2nd account he keeps the money, buys himself a field or "aquires" one, and falls onto a hoe eviscerating himself which killed him. To say he hung himself and then fell forward onto a hoe after the fact is insane mental gymnastics desperately attempting to explain away the contradiction.
When you use, ignore or apply the incorrect definition of a word(s), you can call anything a contradiction. The video defines a contradiction as "[saying] one thing over here and then the opposite thing over there." Moreover, it implies that giving different answers for the same question isn't contradictory if the individual facts of both statements are true. However, contradiction is defined as: 1) a combination of statements, ideas, or features of a situation that are opposed to one another. 2) a person, thing, or situation in which inconsistent elements are present. Statements can still be contradictory even if they aren't making directly opposite claims...
Your 2 chronicles 36:9 translation is incorrect. Correct translation would be Jehoiachin was 8 years old so that contradicts 2 Kings 24:8. This is in the original Masoretic text in Hebrew. Now most scholars actually think the original text had no contradiction and that chronicles is a scribal error that moved the 10 to after the 3 months so 18 and 3 months became 8 and 3 months 10 days in 2 chronicles. What bible translation are you using? Going through the different translations out of the most common bible versions its seems only NIV says Jehoiachin was eighteen in 2 chronicles. And well NIV is very liberal in its translations going out of its way to harmonize the text even when it goes against the original hebrew. So going after the contradiction 3 months vs 3 months 10 days is weak. I would ask you to explain the 8 years old vs 18 years old contradiction as a better numbers contradiction from the same 2 passages you brought up but I can see why you would be ignorant of it since your using a bad translations.
I always took the one that Jacob wrestled with, was pre-incarnated Jesus, and the Father is the one that we simply cannot see as mortal beings and survive.
My favorite supposed contradiction is when they try to say that Mark’s and Luke’s accounts of the empty tomb contradict because Mark says the women “said nothing to anyone” while Luke says the women went and told the other disciples. If you actually read all of Mark 16 and Luke 24, you can see that Mark records that the women were instructed to go tell the other disciples Jesus would meet them in Galilee so they did. As they went, they told no one. That means they didn’t tell anyone they encountered as they followed the instructions they were given. Mark was not claiming the women kept it to themselves and never spoke a word about it to anyone🤦🏻♂️ An obvious way you can tell this is in Luke 24:9, Luke records “When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others” which implies they travelled some distance. The women obviously said nothing to anyone along the way.
Here's some more fun-according to Genesis 11:26-Terah was the father of Abram, begetting him when he was seventy years old. Verse 31 says that Terah took Abram, Sarai and Lot and settled in the city of Haran. Verse 32 says Terah died at the age of 205. Subtracting 70 from 205 gives you 135. So, according to this reckoning, Abram would be 135 when his father, Terah died. Yet, according to what it says in Acts 7:2-4, God had told Abram to leave his father's house. He then goes to Charran, or Haran. It says then that, when his father was dead, he left Haran and went to the Land of Canaan. But Genesis 12:4 says clearly that Abram was 75 when he left Haran. If Terah was 70 when Abram was born and, according to verse 32, Terah would have been 145 when Abram left Haran. Yet, Acts says that Abram left Haran when his father was dead. Terah died at 205, not 145. There is a 60 year discrepancy here. Now maybe there's a nice simple explanation to this discrepancy. Feel free to address it. If it's a good explanation I'll be more than happy to take if off my list of contradictions. I'm only interested in real contradictions-not apparent ones.

Coming to this right after your discussion with the Catholic guy that believe works matters and I left you an argument there as well if you care to read it (Christian Tries to CONVERT A Catholic). It's great that you bring up this argument about contradictions because that other discussion had to do with the same idea of going to heaven. Is accepting a gift from Jesus to get us into heaven false if we also try to do good to get us into heaven? No, we still accepted the gift, that can't just suddenly become false. That guy you talked to both ate toast and cereal for breakfast. Only the toast was the thing that was healthy for him to eat and not that sugary bowl of cereal.

It says no one has seen the Father. Not, no one has seen God. Jacob wrestled with the pre incarnation of Christ. Christ said before Abraham was, I Am. He existed before He was born of Mary. The Jacob said I have seen God face to face. That’s accurate because Christ and the Father are one but they don’t operate in the same ways or roles.
@WhiteRabbit-ix1ug It is a problem because God cannot make a mistake. He's perfect, right? So how can His words not be perfect? Anything that is claimed of God if it has contradictions cannot be from God.
Any contradiction could be massage to be not a contradiction depending on your conclusion. This conclusion should always be right because my future hangs on it very heavily perceived or otherwise.
Women discovered the empty tomb of Jesus and returned to tell the others. The women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples (Matthew 28:8). When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others (Luke 24:9). Or did they? Mark has a different ending. Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid. (Mark 16:8)
Acts 9:7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. Acts 22:9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. Two different accounts from Paul's conversion.
i think there is no contradiction with the 2 verses His companions saw a light, got afraid and heard a voice (they don't understand). Only Saulo understood the voice and who appeared because Jesus revealed himself to him while his companions are unaware of it. Hope this helps
I would point to previous verses that shows Him fulfilling the prophecy of Zachariah 9:9 A mere prophet would not be described as a king. They are servants of God. Also, just because people were calling Him a prophet does not mean they were correct. Determine Jesus by what He said about Himself. Muslims go by what their so-called prophet said.
To see God or not to see God, that is the question. The apparent paradox is of course resolved in Jesus. As Paul puts it: ' [The Son] is the image of the invisible God'. And I love Wesley's brilliantly succinct poetic summation: 'Veiled in flesh the Godhead see - hail the incarnate Deity''
wait a minute , the 2 Chronicles 36:9 says jehoiachin age was 8 years old , you changed the number to 18 in the screenshot, what an irony same goes for age of ahaziah 2nd kings 8:26 or 2nd chronicles 22:2
Sorry to bother, But I find inconsistencies worse than contradictions if someone talk about 1 angel and the other talks about 2, either the first one forgot or neglected the second angel, Or the second witness has invented it. a contradiction its a either True or False, right. however we have a full range of possibilities adding imprecisions in the narratives now. making it hard to believe. if you had toast to this breakfast in one narrative, and cereal in an other, every untold narratives is possible now : maybe you had also Wishkey, maybe you got add Eggs and bacon, maybe you got smashed potatoes, all those possibilities just because the eyewitness neglected some aspect of your breakfast that may change the narrative. Now Don't get me wrong, if the Church decided to keep the Apostle's letters as it is, with its imprecisions, and no willing to correct them, that has been or must have been important. Maybe It has been done so to make it hard to believe. but I think this argument add more bullet to the skeptics than anything else
The same debate has been going on (I'd wager) since they tried to cover up Jesus' resurrection (Matthew 28). Amazingly intelligent atheists still bring up old arguments that have been debunked time and time again. It's not a problem of logic or intelligence. It's bigger.
I generally do not attack people on their personal beliefs, but this has to be one of the most dishonest video's I have ever seen! You have to be extremely determined not to see a contradiction regarding the death of Judas: hanging himself is simply contradictory to falling to the ground and being gutted. Off course you may and try to find excuses, like saying Judas may have hung himself and later on fell to the ground, but you would only do so if you are pre-determined to conclude there must be no contradictions in the Bible. Anyone who reads the Bible objectively with an open mind, will conclude this is a contradiction! The same goes for the two different genealogies of Jesus. You may claim one refers to Joseph and the other to Mary, but both Mathew and Luke explicitly claim they give the genealogy of Joseph, so that is a false claim! Furthermore that doesn't explain the remaining differences, like Sealtiel being the son of Jechonja or of Neri, or the number of generations between David and Jesus (28 versus 42). Also, 3 months is not the same as 3 months and 10 days. The Bible could have stated "circa 3 months" or " approximately 3 months" or something like that, but it doesn't, so there's the contradiction.
What about a real contradiction. For Christ to tell the thief he would be in paradise that day, would make Christ a liar by at least 9 passages saying he would be dead. The comma, is in the wrong place. What about when Paul says, "today is the day of salvation ", while Christ said when salvation is. Mt. 10:23, 24:13., and it ain't today. Then there's the matter of 1John 5:7. Google it. It has been altered by copyists, or scribes, to imply a trinity. Not a contradiction, just hijinks among many hijinks in the Bible.
Perhaps not "technically" contradictions. I do agree that a number of supposed contradictions are only apparent. the story of Judas' death is a good example. That one is easy to reconcile supposed differences in the accounts. I can also offer an expained-away apparent contradiction, as when a certain prophecy is said to be in the Book of Hosea, when it is actually in Zechariah. The explanation is that the Twelve Minor Prophets were all found on one scroll. You would not ask for the Scroll of Zechariah when wishing to read it. You would ask for the Scroll of Hosea, which is the first of the Minor Prophets. It would be like the modern practice of titling an anthology of fiction something like "The Tell Tale Heart, and Others, by Edgar Alan Poe." Still, not all problems in the Bible are that easily explained away. The different numbering of angels at the tomb strikes me as simply sloppy, not good writing at all. Moreover, attempts at apologetics to reconcile the differences do not come from an objective viewpoint, but originate from an assumption that there are no errors in the Bible. This is not how truth is determined. We do not start with from the proposition, "Sentence first, verdict afterwards." Second Kings 8:26 says "Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem." Second Chronicles 22:2 says "Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem." Forty-two, or twenty-two? Acts 9:7 "And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man." Acts 22:9 "And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me." Did they, or did they not hear a voice? Second Samuel 24:1 "And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah. First Chronicles 21:1 "And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel." Who provoked David? God or Satan? Perhaps you might not consider this a contradiction, reasoning that the "he" in Samuel refers to Satan. But this flies in the face of good English. There is no reason to assume that this "he" is anything other than a continuation of the previously mentioned LORD. There are other Biblical problems that could be mentioned but these will suffice for now.
Ok. In which case there are no biblical contradictons only biblical condonement of adultery, incest, pedophilia and slavery just to mention a very few. If "faith" is *the true* virtue, the *only* ticket to His all-members area - then trying to find evidence of an omnipotent being in (at least physical) hiding is arrogant at best, blasphemous at worst. 2024 is an anniversary in my country, marking that it's been 1000 years since our predecessors could choose christianity or loose their head. It's time for it to stop, figuratively and literally. I'm fairly certain that a loving God would prefer an honest and humble "I really don't know" to what, according to scripture, must be disingenuous rhetorical gymnastics and contortionism.

When translating a sentence in another language that says something like "Angel (unspecified amount) apeared at the tomb" you have to either translate it as "An angel apeared" or "angels apeared" with the default in translation being "an angel."
spot on! anyone can give his or her opinion, where is the proof in the bible!

“Read the verse (II Chronicles 22:2) in any modern translation of the Bible (eg. ESV, NASB, etc)

:
1. **Rope Breaking Argument**:
- **Contradictory Descriptions**: Matthew 27:5 states that Judas hanged himself.
2. **Money Usage Argument**:
- **Different Actors**: Matthew 27:5-7 clearly indicates that Judas threw the money into the temple and left, and it was the priests who decided to use the money to buy the potter's field.
In Ephesians 2:8-9 it says "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast."
It is NOT our works charitable or merciful that grant us the reward of heaven with the Father but ONLY through the free gift of grace, at the price of the atonement paid by the Son.

Nope you're just wrong - get over it. No one expects you to understand with your poor grasp of logic.

However, contradiction is defined as:
1) a combination of statements, ideas, or features of a situation that are opposed to one another.
2) a person, thing, or situation in which inconsistent elements are present.
Statements can still be contradictory even if they aren't making directly opposite claims...
Just comes down to what you choose to believe.

Wouldn't it make sense if a murderer committed a crime in Canberra, saying that he was in Melbourne that night and later he added it was Sydney?
You articulated this very well brother. Keep up the good work and God bless you.
Mark was not claiming the women kept it to themselves and never spoke a word about it to anyone🤦🏻♂️
An obvious way you can tell this is in Luke 24:9, Luke records “When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others” which implies they travelled some distance.
Hallelujah 🎉❤

It says no one has seen the Father. Not, no one has seen God. Jacob wrestled with the pre incarnation of Christ. Christ said before Abraham was, I Am. He existed before He was born of Mary. The Jacob said I have seen God face to face. That’s accurate because Christ and the Father are one but they don’t operate in the same ways or roles.
The problem is, you try to justify your dogmas not the text. That's why Biblical historians all agree, there are tons of contradictions.

Twist and shout! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Don’t hurt yourself tying yourself in knots.
But I did respond. In fact you responded to my response. Do you have a point?
@@YouDontKnowMeSoYouDontKnowJack Yes I guess you’re right. Who could hope to compete with your keen intellect. 🤣🤣
Sorry to bother, But I find inconsistencies worse than contradictions
if someone talk about 1 angel and the other talks about 2, either the first one forgot or neglected the second angel, Or the second witness has invented it.
a contradiction its a either True or False, right. however we have a full range of possibilities adding imprecisions in the narratives now. making it hard to believe. if you had toast to this breakfast in one narrative, and cereal in an other, every untold narratives is possible now : maybe you had also Wishkey, maybe you got add Eggs and bacon, maybe you got smashed potatoes, all those possibilities just because the eyewitness neglected some aspect of your breakfast that may change the narrative.
Now Don't get me wrong, if the Church decided to keep the Apostle's letters as it is, with its imprecisions, and no willing to correct them, that has been or must have been important. Maybe It has been done so to make it hard to believe. but I think this argument add more bullet to the skeptics than anything else
En realidad no es una contradicción pero he oído que hay un debate con el verso
Juan 7:53-8:11
Cuál es el debate?
The same debate has been going on (I'd wager) since they tried to cover up Jesus' resurrection (Matthew 28).
Amazingly intelligent atheists still bring up old arguments that have been debunked time and time again. It's not a problem of logic or intelligence. It's bigger.
Proverbs 26: 4 and 5 contradict each other, but It's clearly deliberate for some reason ( though I'm not sure why).
"If" there was a contradiction in the Bible....apparently the entire religion would fall apart? Right?
5:02 that's not God in a human body, that's Jesus
What about a real contradiction. For Christ to tell the thief he would be in paradise that day, would make Christ a liar by at least 9 passages saying he would be dead. The comma, is in the wrong place.
What about when Paul says, "today is the day of salvation ", while Christ said when salvation is.
Mt. 10:23, 24:13., and it ain't today.
Then there's the matter of
1John 5:7.
It would be like the modern practice of titling an anthology of fiction something like "The Tell Tale Heart, and Others, by Edgar Alan Poe."
Still, not all problems in the Bible are that easily explained away. The different numbering of angels at the tomb strikes me as simply sloppy, not good writing at all. Moreover, attempts at apologetics to reconcile the differences do not come from an objective viewpoint, but originate from an assumption that there are no errors in the Bible. This is not how truth is determined. We do not start with from the proposition, "Sentence first, verdict afterwards."
Second Kings 8:26 says "Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem."
Second Chronicles 22:2 says "Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem." Forty-two, or twenty-two?
Acts 9:7 "And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man."
Acts 22:9 "And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me." Did they, or did they not hear a voice?
People see and understand what they want.
What's wrong with incest?
@@raquelpardal5343 If you honestly don't know... you just might be the result of it.
You're wrong in both hypothesis. Maybe I made you realize that you don't know why is wrong, you just think it is. Time to rethink it.
Since when does falling headlong means landing face down? Chrisitans love to add their own interpretations to the bible, May Allah guide you.
Definition from Collins Dictionary: If you fall or move headlong, you fall or move with your head furthest forward. She missed her footing and fell headlong down the stairs.
SYNONYMS: headfirst, head-on.
Hezekiah , preparing for the Assyrian invasion. In Kings he's brave, in Chronicles, a coward. Get The Bible in a year and youll start noticing these when put back to back.
Even if there were no contradictions in the bible, this has no bearing on whether any of it's supernatural claims are true.
Supernatural 😂
