Man , Love Cure for so many years, i have to say I kind of miss the keyboards in some songs like this one, and so many others, but they still are the best live..
I keep coming back to this lol, I think this is better than the album version since the 'I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU' sentence takes a higher pitch towards the end, which makes it more serious and sincere, rather than the album which is like a day dream!
I love Robert Smith and The Cure and so does my 22 yr old daughter... Cure fans don't knock Adele for covering this track but thank her for an alternative version (for her mum) and keeping The Cure alive....

How many times times can a band play the same song and not and want to move on from it? Would it be fair to say that this is The Cure's signature song, just as so many other bands have their own? Some bands move on, but some don't. For me, and those who love the song as if it's being heard for the first time...we of course want it to continue.

Good performance of a very poignant song. I am in a church band & it just occurred to me that you could sing this song to God as well as to another person. It would be a great, heartfelt change-of-pace in a lineup of otherwise standard religious tunes.

You must be joking. I listen to everything from miles davis to bach, from black sabbath and hendrix to sylosis. The cure is definitely one of the greatest group of musicians on the planet, but adele is one of the most talented vocalist I have heard this decade. I could see if you were talking down britney spears or some other pop bullshit...adele is WAY outside of that group and her version of this is spectacularly soulful.
Adele's version is good but the Cure and Robert Smith version is great. The original and best. Great memories at Bexley North pub sitting on the stage as they played.
