Those people who are blue-collar workers (like me), without college education, who are going to need their social security benefits, if not Medicare or medicaid, voted for the party that wants to actually take these earned benefits from them. This is absolutely mind-boggling.
Whereas voting D is better for those who've lost their jobs, millions both blue and white collar, to foreign workers? Because open borders and everyone living outside the borders is far more important? It's better for the planet, to keep shipping in nearly all consumables in from around the globe? Because global elite are most profitable with buy low from 3rd world, sell high in our market? Yes, we will pay a price for this. Libertarian are ready to pounce: market safety and market integrity regulations, gutted.
Thank you. Biden should NEVER have been allowed to run a second time. He was supposed to be a bridge candidate. The Dem candidate would have had time to build a real campaign. The national Dem party is too much about “ so and so put in time so they deserve “ (see Clinton, Biden’s second run) as opposed to who can actually win or at least bring new ideas.
I agree to a certain extent. But based on an experiment I did with the internet algorithms, I'm not sure how much a different candidate could have done. The kind of propaganda I saw takes at least 4-10 years to build and worm it's way in. I was in shock with the level of gaslighting I saw. The manipulation is masterful. To be honest, the propaganda began to be planted 2-3 decades ago. And now it has born the fruit it was always planning to bear. The only way out at this point will be painful lessons and hardships.
Maybe the Democratic Party needs to create a mechanism that would’ve enabled the party base to push Biden out. Not sure how we’d do this. Maybe it’ll be more acceptable now for folks like Pelosi and other top party folks to force the issue.
@@BeDifferent77csac It would have made a difference. Voters assumed Kamala was Biden part 2. If the Dens would have chosen someone not associated with the Dem failures, such as inflation, then the results could have been different.
We had 4 years to prosecute someone who broke the law several times, however we weren’t even able to hold him responsible for even ONE crime. He proved that he could coerce, finagle, intimidate, bribe and slip through the legal system for YEARS without penalty. He proved by cheating he could WIN, with all his street smarts and connections. So he came across as an aggressor that could accomplish big things and it didn’t matter how., even if it meant breaking the law.
-Illegal labor's not just used for fresh produce. -Not at all likely his donors will let him oust their prime source of profit, illegal and quasi-legal labor. -It's not like he's a man of his word... -Lastly, and most importantly, the most vital necessity we have, food, there's not _good_ reason it should be cheap. So if it results in Living Wage for ag workers, I'm all for it.
Yes we can’t raise wages even modestly and not expect prices to go up I don’t know what’s wrong with people. Dollar eggs and two dollar gas is never coming back not under Trump or anyone.
You’re joking, right? The money was on both sides. A billion dollars was spent by pacs for both sides. If you honestly believe that the money in politics (on both sides) is not a problem, you win…..no need to argue.
We have got to get the political parties out of our gerrymandered voting processes and districting. NO good reason for "party affiliation" required of voters, where it starts.
All I can say to this is, now they get to have 4 more years - if they are lucky to just have 4 - of how well they will do with Trump. And they will deserve what they get. Sadly the rest of us will not.
YOU voted for the last 4 years and made the rest of the country suffer through higher inflation, crime, illegal immigration and foreign wars...take some accountability!
Yea sure. Millions of illegals pouring into the country, drugs killing a hundred thousand a year. Trump might be a big dick but he's the big dick America needs right now to clean the shit up.
Out of all the stupid things this country has gotten itself into, this will go down in history as the dumbest and most short-sighted...so far. The levels of ignorance in this country on how economics and linear time works is stunning and depressing.
Lots of justifiably angry people. Neoliberalism, a bust. Unfortunately, Libertarian have been waiting in the wings for this, fanning the flames. Regarding "how economics work", they know their own household economics and it's failing. As for, "dumbest and most short-sightest", do a youtube search for Jonathan Pie and "President Trump: How & Why.."
If you ever watched the Jay Leno All Stars brief interviews of people on the street, the level of ignorance of many americans would not actually surprise you. A typical question might be something like .... can you name our neighboring country to the North? Answers coming back might range from Oregon, to Mexico, to Russia, to I'm not sure. Or another tricky one was can you name the 3 branches of the federal government? Many could not.
If you’re so smart and intelligent, how come these ignorant people out voted you? Maybe you’re not as smart as you think?🤔 I can assure you that your pompous condescending attitude will never get them on your side.
Centrist is a R corporatist, in D clothing. Clinton's "third way" "centrist" was a sharp turn to the right. The third way, speak public interest, act corporate interest.
Spot on. Even AOC is to the right of Reagan at this point. Only Bernie kept to message, and he's to the right of FDR, the most popular president in US history.

I agree 100% with what was said about Biden's HUGE mistake of running for re-election, especially at his age. In fact, he had promised that he would not do that. He should have let Dems choose another candidate and held a normal convention. I like Harris, but giving her only a short period of time to run a campaign was going to prove a horrible choice. So many people are responsible for the outcome of this election. I do NOT blamer Harris.
@@Evanturar White women actually voted for their interests. They see their interests are alongside their men. As women of color, they are looking less to lift us up and more to just protecting their own economic interests.
To where did they move?? You are living in a fantasy wilderness of politics. No doubt the wealthy managed to dumb this nation in flat ignorance. The left was abandoned by self betrayal. Long ago. Didn’t you noticed??
I just about the Dems not honoring the working class. Biden crossed a picket line and worked hard to win over the working people; didn't the president of a major auto industry endorse the dem Party?
Cumulative inflation: 25% increase in food prices, 20% increase in rent, interest rates more than double. Cumulative inflation impacted most voters and was not "transitory" as termed by the Biden administration.
You are correct. Biden joined a picket line. All unions endorsed Harris, except for the Teamsters, and many locals among the Teamsters broke with national and endorsed Harris. Beyond that many of Biden’s policies were focused on increasing power for labor and supporting American manufacturing. Examples included appointing Lina Khan at the FTC and passing the CHIPS act.
In these areas Dems have a messaging problem and they come across a bit too milktoast. They need to lean into it and really hammer it home especially on media that blue collar watch/listen to. Even if it’s fox or Rogan let them call them communists or whatever but forcefully make the case for unions or labor on things like this.
The problem with embracing populism is that in order for the democrats to actually provide some sort of economic justice they'd need to heavily clamp down on immigration. Massive immigration places downward pressure on working class occupations which is why it was a top #2 issue for voters. Unfortunately for the democrats this is a very divisive issue without their own cohort. There's a bunch of university grads who love this immigration because it's basically unlimited cheap labour for them so they just echo any economic talking point to prevent it. Then you have the student protestors who treat any immigration restrictions as "racism". The dems need to have a reckoning on this subject.
Ohhhh WAIT!!! I forgot: Sen Lankford had proposed an immigration BILL remember??? but donnie told his peers : "KILL IT." in order to have something to campaign on. YEAH keep blaming DEMOCRATS on immigration. Immigration crossings are down on BIDEN's tenure. WAYYYY down than they were on donnie's tenure. REMEMBER???
Dems need to get labor involved here and make it clear that immigration is necessary for building a strong economy but also needs boundaries which is where a joint say so with labor may work.
The Democratic party abandoned and betrayed their base long ago. So ... the corporate party lost to the oligarchs in a vote to burn it all down. What country do you two live in?
the real tragedy here is that she really wanted to make your lives and America better while he just wanted more money, more power and a get out of jail free card. if you would meet her in real life she would give you a hug, he would have you escorted out of his counry club. she was in it for YOU, he was in it for himself and himself only, THAT is the real tragedy of the outcome of this electon!
Making room for more alphabet letters, pronouns, illegal immigrants and fringe minorities, instead of listening to the majority constituents needs, equals losing.
Maybe go to the center on the woke culture war stuff, but not economically and on foreign policy. She needed to go hard left in those two areas, and didn't. Campaigning with the Cheney's was an absolutely a horrific decision.

Second Vice: After becoming the nominee, Vice President Harris waited too long to define herself politically. Third Vice: Vice President Harris spent more time saying why Donald Trump shouldn't be President than why she should be President. Fourth Vice: Vice President Harris over prioritized social influencer media at the expense of traditional media. Fifth Vice: Vice President Harris picked a weak running mate. Sixth Vice: President Harris relied on too narrow a circle of advisers. Seventh Vice: What aboutism: The Late Start, Ukraine, Gaza, and Epstein. Eighth Vice: Racism and misogyny were salient factors for the loss but not decisive factors for the loss. Ninth Vice: If these vices were so toxic, then why didn’t Vice President Harris, Democratic Congressional Leadership, and the Democratic National Committee address them during the campaign? Tenth Vice: Vice President Harris failed to address the underlying issues that made Trump’s Presidency possible; Decades Long Neglect of K-12 Education, American Manufacturing, and Corruption.
All good, but I have to add more: 1) She needed to distance herself from Biden, so she wouldn't be attached to his failures, specifically inflation. She didn't clearly state how she would be different. In fact she mostly said she will keep doing things the same. 2) She ran on abortion, lower drug prices, and affordable housing. Sorry, border and crime "Trump" her issues.
The democrats need to change. They need to stop accepting lobbyists' money. They need to stop genocidal money dealing with AIPAC. Believe me, I voted for Harris. But I held my nose. So, have at it!
Sorry, but it was served up to her. She had every opportunity, but she failed, not us. She tried to run on issues that are not the highest concern for most Americans (abortion, drug prices, affordable housing). Sorry, but border, crime, and economy "Trump" her issues. Women didn't fail, she did.
You needed back in 2021 a joe biden (and thats a clue, the actual wouldn't do this) get up at the podium and bang it with his fist and declare angrily "this criminal trump has left us with high inflation since Nixon, we must fight fight fight and get it down" and keep doing this for 6 months at least every day
Won't help if the media, especially Fox news and Elon Twitter, won't cover it, nor explain that much of the inflation actually came from corporate greed and shrinkflation... and Biden and the Fed DID fix it. When one candidate (and all followers) refuse to even understand how tariffs work , and their on-purpose inflationary effect, then... god help us..

The Democrats refused to listen to Americans about the border and overemphasized gender issues when food prices were going up. The general public needed a 40 minute PowerPoint on plans for the economy. Maybe Trump was destined to be back, because Kamala is a brilliant speaker but never got around to getting specific about her plans for the next 4 years. A PowerPoint and Exhibits might have helped some. Plus, it's weird how people don't even recall T saying we will never have to vote again.... Weird. I'm not sure how things will pan out, but some of T's campaigns promises were scary. Like, dude, what do you mean we will never vote again???
It's because people are just too effing stupid, ignorant, bigoted, and backward to know much of anything, and that is why the higher the education, the more likely to be liberal. No kidding! We all heard and saw what Trump did during his last term and then Biden won by a landslide, but people expect everything to be just wonderful in a week or two...because they are so clueless. Inflation has gone down, the job rate has gone up and businesses are doing better, but people are so gullible they believe all the misinformation/disinformation spewed out by the right wing. And then there's the fact that Trump is incoherent at times, dumb, bigoted and wants to be a dictator. So, now our country is gone...I guess all the cons are happy about that.
I agree, the Dems and Kamala were completely out of touch. They stood on abortion, lowering drug prices, and affordable housing. Clearly that missed, big time.
Most Americans can't afford to buy a house, they can barely pay their Rent. At the grocery stores we put back 3 to 4 items weekly. Our kids, mommy can I get this? No, not this time, maybe next week. Next week never comes.
trump and musk had a total of 2 votes between them. trump got 73+ million votes. i would imagine that the vast majority of trumps votes came from people who demographically should be in the democratic base. this is a total democratic problem.
Yeah agree. If the Democrats keep saying in man that is not a bleeding heart woke liberal must be toxic, they will never get those men back to vote for them. I too am sick and tired of feminists tell me I should apologise for being a man and liking to do manly things.
You are right that maybe we do not understand young men who seem uninformed. This is not the area most Dems are comfortable. This is going to require asking what values we are willing to compromise for the sexist pig vote.
Let's be honest, it was about people focusing on themselves personally rather than what was good for the country as a whole, and at the same time not (or not wanting to) understand that either a) the President has little, if any, direct control over the price of eggs or gas or b) that Trump's policies are going to make those things even worse. Also, as refrenced, misogyny, racism, plus apathy (19 mil or so fewer chose not to vote compared to 2020).
@@glenagarrett4704 The president has plenty of control over inflation. If he has good understanding of the economy, he can encourage legislation and executive orders that are effective in increasing supply where its needed, and can veto laws that might throw too much money at too few goods and services, and entrench an inflationary mindset, as we have now. I'm not saying Trump is that person, but Harris never addressed these issues directly because she couldn't. She was out of her depth, and had there been a primary or a contested convention, she never would have made it through.
@@karlkessler6017 Interesting. The Presdent can only do EO's unilaterally, but if they involve expending money the implementation still has to be approved by Congress, as did all the student debt relief, which not one single person has been saying. All the was approved by Congressional budget measures as riders on other bills. Again, the veto can be overridden if Congress has enough of a majority. Speaking of inflationary mindset, what's your take on Trump planning to deport millions of foreign workers, how will that affect the economy when they provide so much of the low-wage workforce to produce our food and build our homes and structures? Also, what will his tariffs do? There sure seems to be a huge misunderstanding, by him and many citizens, that tariffs are NOT PAID BY THE COUNTRY THEY'RE PLACED ON. The US companies who IMPORT pay them and then pass that higher price on to CONSUMERS.
@@glenagarrett4704 I think it will be very costly and certainly problematic to deport the recent flood of migrants. I would propose that their presence hasn't kept housing and food prices low as you suggest because housing and food prices are not low. Hopefully the tariffs, combined with appropriate incentives will serve to increase the manufacturing base of this country, which will give American workers a more secure living and reason to start families.
Don't forget to mention Biden replying when asked whether sending oil and natural gas to Europe to supplant Russian oil would cause inflation here, said , Americans dont mind a little inflation. " Look it up. It is on record.
As a Hispanic woman, I am not surprised that many Hispanic men did not vote for a female candidate. There can be cultural factors at play, including traditional views on gender roles. Historically, Latin American countries have had few female presidents (less than 10). Understanding these cultural nuances would have been important.

Stop over analyzing the result of the election. This guy Martin summed it well at the beginning: the consumer didn’t want the product, just like any company must find the right products for its clients, it’s that simple. I am a Canadian citizen and I have a friend who is born in America and he has the US citizenship of course. He has live in Canada all his 60 year life. He told me he voted for the orange clown. I knew he would do that. How in the world do you think a grown up man, non-college educated, frustrated with many aspects of life would vote for a short, small, black, woke woman? Not a chance! Also, there was a simple question that was asked to Americans. It is do you think the country is going in the right direction? More than 72% of the people said no! I knew immediately that the Democrats were toasted! This said, it is almost @ certainly that the clown in chief will cause so much chaos that if there are elections in 4 years, the GOP will be defeated. However, if the Democrats want to win, they will have to identify the right candidate that the population in general will feel comfortable with.
Harris' loss was not about her identity, except on the margins. It wasn't even about her message. It was about her, and the fact that she came across as a cipher, intending to do the bidding of her donors. Democrats probably won't win again, because they aren't authentic. They had their winning candidate. He filled stadiums. I know, I was there. His name was Bernie Sanders. And Democrats refused to let him run because they don't want the things they say they do.
Agreed. I feel it very likely that the Trump admin will over reach. They have ideologically committed to it, including mass deportation. It will be a horror show. And that will be the chance.
@ I take the right to be condescending towards a majority of people who vote for a criminal, a sexual predator, a fraud, a racist, etc. Please tell me that out of 340 million people in America that the orange face is the best person for the job?
64% of Republicans think that Democrats and Republicans should spend less time talking about transgender issues and more time talking about voters' priority issues like the economy and inflation. Harris mentioned transgender rights ZERO times during her entire campaign. ZERO Democrat campaign ads defended us. How DARE you blame this on trans people?
A political party trying to insert itself between parents and their children, that's a sure way to lose an election every time. The dems can pretend in the 11th hour like it never happened but, hey, it's too little too late at that point. Maybe next time they won't mess with peoples' children.
And how is tRump going to help them??? By cutting overtime pay??? Why are you poor? Cause you are stupid and why are you stupid? Cause you are poor...good luck😂
Martin's responses perfectly reflect the mindset that lost this contest. The idea that winning the presidency is about tweaking the party's "messaging" until it solves the electoral college equation is not only wrong, it's obvious to the voter, and insulting. Democrats had the winning candidate, and his name is Bernie Sanders. The fact that they threw him under the bus twice, when he was filling stadiums, shows their true motivations, and why they probably won't be a going concern for much longer.

Republicanity) 3) the flyover states see themselves as “real America” and feel under-represented 4) the electoral college gives the smaller states more seats/power 5) Republicans gerrymandered districts 6) Hollywood (and corporate America) has been taken over by left-wing activist writers and producers pushing DEI and "woke" garbage and people are tired of it. Multiple billion-dollar franchises were ruined due to culture-wars (Disney Star Wars, Marvel, Lord of the Rings, Ghostbusters, Terminator) 7) strong anti-immigration sentiments and xenophobic/racist rhetoric (want stronger border & mass deportation for illegals) 8) conspiracy theorists (the average Republican feels the previous election was "stolen") 9) Christians who view abortion as baby-murder 10) 20% of American investors own Crypto and Trump said he’d give it government backing 11) right-wing media is brutally effective in their messaging 12) lack of leadership and lack of messaging on the Democratic side 13) Elon Musk and Joe Rogan endorsed Trump (helps bring in the male 18-34 vote) 14) anger at the govt shutdown during the pandemic 15) voters wanted CHANGE at all costs, even if it means burning down “the system” 16) cost of living is way up (food, housing, gas) so voters blame the party in charge 17) the bullet that grazed Trump’s ear (Christians will see as a sign from God) 18) the average American hates MSM (mainstream media) ever since Trump called CNN “fake news,” so most Americans get their news from FOX and other right-wing echo chambers, causing political illiteracy. 19) Social media also creates echo chambers (the algorithm feeds you more of what you like) 20) anger at Israel and the Gaza war/genocide. Also, Trump said he'd stop the Ukraine war and the average American is selfish and doesn't want to spend billions of dollars on other countries. 21) Kamala failed to distinguish herself from Joe Biden who is historically unpopular

Just throwing stuff out on the lawn where other people in the same boat ran up to grab stuff to try to sell, before they could gather it who just got dumped out with their last check sent back. It was about selling and flipping properties for large cash buy outs from one monolithic nesting llc to another of the biggest five or so owning everything they can buy out in the world after shifting subsidized insured and dozed malls, to complexes, to commercial buildings to private houses and properties who didn't know better yet, because they had so far been unaffected by the rent debacle. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more clueless discussion. How to win back the working class, without once mentioning the elephant in the room. Immigration. The Dems can either be a labor party or an open border party. They have to choose. That’s the issue.
Move the economic platform to the left or lose repeatedly until you do, dems. You lost because the working class stayed home or voted GOP. The rosy economic data is meaningless if you don't feel it.
That’s a testimony of a dumb and ill-informed voter. Trump understands that keeping people dumb benefits him to promote his lies. You want to see a great example of that, see Putin in Russia and how he manipulates education and the news in Russia.
Basically, the American electorate was not ready to elect a black woman. They can offer all kinds of other excuses but the size of Trumps win indicates different.
This isn’t a democrat issue. Trump voters were offered to join a larger tent to voice their issues to a candidate that was there as their servant; instead they chose a leader that’ll want them to be his servants.

I think the two mistakes I see again and again with Democrats: support for war and international trade (particularly support for blatantly unjust wars like Iraq and Gaza) and the other is the constantly talking about abortion. You will never convince somebody who doesn't support abortion to support it. It would be better to acknowledge some of the concerns of folks who are pro-life and arguing that programs like the universal monthly child tax credit, affordable childcare, mental health care for pregnant and post-natal women, and socialized health care will reduce the number of abortions that many women feel they economically have no choice but to have. Meanwhile, highlighting all of the horrific ramifications to having the criminal justice system regulate abortion- not just the handful of women who could not get care for their miscarriage, but also women who ended up in jail because of miscarriages that they are being blamed for. There are ways to talk about it that can bring a lot of folks who don't support abortion into the conversation instead of locking them out.
I think the issues are overrated as to who wins elections. You need a candidate that is likable. Harris unfortunately doesnt have a pleasant voice and people felt she was forced on everybody in at the last minute.

I just about the Dems not honoring the working class. Biden crossed a picket line and worked hard to win over the working people; didn't the president of a major auto industry endorse the

That argument is too complicated for Americans. They wanted Trump…..they got him.

People are overcomplicating this. This was about inflation, eggs and gas cost more now, and the GOP has done a better job of selling on it.
Let's be honest, it was about people focusing on themselves personally rather than what was good for the country as a whole, and at the same time not (or not wanting to) understand that either a) the President has little, if any, direct control over the price of eggs or gas or b) that Trump's policies are going to make those things even worse. @@glenagarrett4704 The president has plenty of control over inflation.

When these MAGAs go off rails, I want to hear Fox Propaganda then. No one to blame but them.
I’m finished with political pundits. Y’all really aren’t very good but you’re great after you’re wrong describing why everyone got it wrong.
Clesely it was fixed. Putin and musk come to mind.
Could be a golden age. We shall see, but hoping for the best. And maybe, one can always hope, the Democrats will get their act together.
What are you talking about about -- Trump isn't about Identity politics?
Satan has won again, and Christ has been ignored. Nothing is any different than it was in the days of Christ. And it only gets farther away from God, from here on out! Israel is not the path to God. Our God is not any part of that.
Maybe Harris and Liz Cheney should've talked more about Liz Cheney's love for war and her war criminal father that endorsed Harris.
Stay off the drugs.
Abandoning my trans friends and relatives is non negotiable. A strong, populist economic vision for the future is the answer.
You guys made a lot of good points. Here's my take on Reasons Trump Won (higher cost of living being the biggie):
1) Christian nationalists who see Christianity dying and see Trump as a last-ditch effort to gain legislative power
2) identity politics - people vote red no matter what (aka. Republicanity)
3) the flyover states see themselves as “real America” and feel under-represented
4) the electoral college gives the smaller states more seats/power
5) Republicans gerrymandered districts
6) Hollywood (and corporate America) has been taken over by left-wing activist writers and producers pushing DEI and "woke" garbage and people are tired of it. Multiple billion-dollar franchises were ruined due to culture-wars (Disney Star Wars, Marvel, Lord of the Rings, Ghostbusters, Terminator)
7) strong anti-immigration sentiments and xenophobic/racist rhetoric (want stronger border & mass deportation for illegals)
8) conspiracy theorists (the average Republican feels the previous election was "stolen")
9) Christians who view abortion as baby-murder
10) 20% of American investors own Crypto and Trump said he’d give it government backing
11) right-wing media is brutally effective in their messaging
12) lack of leadership and lack of messaging on the Democratic side
13) Elon Musk and Joe Rogan endorsed Trump (helps bring in the male 18-34 vote)
14) anger at the govt shutdown during the pandemic
15) voters wanted CHANGE at all costs, even if it means burning down “the system”
16) cost of living is way up (food, housing, gas) so voters blame the party in charge
17) the bullet that grazed Trump’s ear (Christians will see as a sign from God)
18) the average American hates MSM (mainstream media) ever since Trump called CNN “fake news,” so most Americans get their news from FOX and other right-wing echo chambers, causing political illiteracy.
19) Social media also creates echo chambers (the algorithm feeds you more of what you like)
20) anger at Israel and the Gaza war/genocide. Also, Trump said he'd stop the Ukraine war and the average American is selfish and doesn't want to spend billions of dollars on other countries.
21) Kamala failed to distinguish herself from Joe Biden who is historically unpopular
Some of your assumptions are off. Abortion seems to be a core right accepted in even deeply red states.
All went down hill wilth the DLC and courting of big business.
It's sad , really tragic, that these two intelligent men don't focus on the two issues that gave Trump the election -- the economy and illegal immigration.
Its not the message. Its the actions.
Why was voter turnout down by 16 million this year? What states lost so many voters?
Good question!
Voting was down because covid in 2020 enabled people to vote and not have to be at work due to lockdowns
A lot of young, who stayed home. Also, the number is around 12M lower once it is all counted…
All the states where Real Page rendered millions of renters homeless, where it rendered them dry broke after taking all their income per month, and then demanding more as if any was left, with credit ruined on utilities and gas cards because group management private equities took all the money and then had people ordered out without anywhere else to go and no chance to get their wallets or birth certificates. The people not dead from plain sleeping outside without access to running water or bathrooms anymore, or in jail indefinitely over and over after being criminalized for being asleep on public property, are just trying to live and not have any communication stolen from them as they show up for court dates for existing somewhere outdoors. Most of their previous long time addresses still boarded up unoccupied. the last year or four. Deals might've been flipped, but whatever proposal of new business venture other than flipping amongst billionaires obviously can't be sustained or supported by the people who lost their livelihoods, to that game of anonymous equities corporations all under the few umbrellas. The same people could still be living there regularly paying reasonable rent that gives space in the income for the rest of basic living expenses too, but nope. If they had addresses and could keep IDs again, while they had to sleep, they'd have shown and voted.
@dougn2350 Many stayed home for various reasons including hating both parties. The Dems really kicked progressives in the teeth hanging out with the Cheney’s and believing that the so called Never Trumpers were a real thing.
Aw, let's let em get another four years or more of Trump now. 🤙🏾 They'll be fine...
Thank God Trump is back in office!!! No more Democrats and life with people who totally deny reality actually exists. We are so sick and tired of being told what to think and do. It’s a relief to return to free thinking and being an American self governed by free will respecting the laws and each other. The left media will keep up their hatred of Trump and 53% of Americans I’m sure but I will choose to disengage.
✊🏿🇺🇲✊🏾..NOW WE FIGHT for DEMOCRACY !! ✊🏼🇺🇲✊🏽
Everyone is just spouting their favorite BS theory
Thanks for offering nothing to the table.
This man couldn’t be more wrong but we can always count on Washington people to remain stupid.
Nothing. We got nothing wrong
lol -- SIKE!!
obnoxious, corp power dems got it ALL WRONG!
as they generally do!
programs right - -bernie's right -- people's party is right:
abandon the working cla$$ (and palestine!) and you'll be abandoned!
dems are weak sauce af!
You got nothing right as far as electoral politics go
They need someone with a spare 100 million and a young male following.
What r they talking about???? The dems were ALL ABOUT the middle class this time..wtf??????
And the general anti-incumbency mood around the post-pandemic world (re: inflation, etc) wasn't a major factor? Haven't many incumbent governments fallen over the past few years? It would've been a landslide if a traditional Republican ran.
Yes why do so many people miss this? How many governments around the world in 2019 are still in power (or about to lose?)
Inflation that comes from the greed of corporations-Will Trump put guardrails on them? No. Trump wants tariffs-if you think things are expensive now brace yourself. Do you know Trump gave tax cuts to billionaires? You probably pay more in taxes than Elon Musk and don't give me a trickle down lecture-that is pure b.s. Trickle down has been proven not to work. Another lie billionaires want you to buy.
True
No, social issues to middle and economic to the left - the wealth gap is going to destroy democracy.
Basically, the American electorate was not ready to elect a black woman. They can offer all kinds of other excuses but the size of Trumps win indicates different.
It's not about woman and it's not about black. She stood on the wrong issues.
Maybe don't cosign a genocide?
I’m a democrat … what did we get wrong .. EVERYTHING
This isn’t a democrat issue. Trump voters were offered to join a larger tent to voice their issues to a candidate that was there as their servant; instead they chose a leader that’ll want them to be his servants.
Such a wrong, academic analysis. All about messaging, nothing about substance. No discussion of actually reducing prices, etc.
Dems, listen to this guy or continue withering away
People vote out of fear of not being able to buy food or pay rent. All the Beyonce songs and talk about joy, does not get them to vote.
Tubulent time? The average working class American actually has pretty good memories of the first Trump term. Therein lies the disconnect with the Dems.
The average working class American has a low IQ. Therein lies the disconnect.
Pandemic spreading, ill people overloading hospitals and dying, economic shutdowns and unemployment spiking to >14% while in the background supply chains faltering, hoarding/shortage of TP (!)... yeah, good memories.
The party who, at least pretend to, ride wind of change are the winner. Democrat afraid to do it, not to mention that misogynistic and punching down culture are part of American exceptionalism. Trump not just defeat one but two women.
The Democrat's total denial of the inflation issue for several years really ticked off the working class. It is better now, but wages have not caught up. And they had NO sympathy with people on this issue.
@@PSUJIM the inflation issue is a world wide phenomenon. Wait until the Republicans get a load of Elon Musk's Austerity Program. You gonna be crying about more than eggs and a gallon of gas.
Wages haven’t caught up since the 70s. Who are you kidding?
@@katherinewatkins4182 Tip of the economic and loss of market integrity iceberg, katherine.
Yes, and they didn't make inflation a top talking point. Instead, they kept talking about paying off more student loans.
Most people who are given a survey on policies check off policies that are democratic policies.
Dreadful interview audio.👎😡 Bye
These guys still don't get it, not even close.
True. It's called confirmation bias bubble.
I think the issues are overrated as to who wins elections. You need a candidate that is likable. Harris unfortunately doesnt have a pleasant voice and people felt she was forced on everybody in at the last minute.
This is not helpful. Please start asking WHAT DO WE DO NOW!?! Otherwise you’re just spinning the obvious for advertising further perpetuating the madness. We need strong counter action and real journalism. ✊🏽
Perhaps polarization is promoted by the parties … no one gets to exist in the middle and the parties define all non-members as enemies. People who are neither Democrats nor Republicans end up being defined by both parties as the other, like it or not …
The democractic party received billions in donations? What happened to all that money????
Cardstock ads funneled through our subsidized 3rd class mail on its way to the trash with the rest, ridiculous numbers of temporary roadside signs also going into the trash and on incessant ads in case in the past two months we forgot an election was coming up.
Billions blown, for sake of next step, trillionaires. To support the oligarchy belief that one can never be too rich.
o, I know this one. Having never acknowledged its many evil deeds, the country has never learned anything...for $500.
Democrats needs a better messaging system done in raw plain language like trump was able to deliver..preferably via the source of information that they prefer like fox news..not CNN
Not enough contrition in his theory.
I love being lectured by MSNBC! 😅
