Do you ever feel that these artists write and sing these emotional masterpieces to express something from deep inside, and eventually find that they have become responsible for having a huge impact on the emotional impact good and bad of millions of people worldwide? Cannot even imagine the long term effect that this could have on someone's soul. RIP Chris
this is certainly the best sounding one so far...most people dont realize exactly what Cornell brought to the table with his amazing vocal abilities until times like this....when others try to duplicate it. that said, my favorite so far (and biggest shout out) goes to Megadeth and Dave Mustaine for even attempting to sing that fkn song. He knew it was gonna sound like dog shit, and he didnt care. Chris meant so much to him that he was willing to say fuck it i cant sing it right and do it anyway. simply amazing. I used to emulate Cornell in my youth. i sang almost every song the way he did, note for note...then i started to develop my own voice for my own personal freedom and i was never able to go back, or even come close to recapturing what i was able to do beforehand. because singing the way he did was so unnatural to my own voice...
this loss hurts man. the guy had a voice and an ability to portray how he was feeling like no other musician out today. rest in peace chris and thanks for all the inspiration and getting me through the ''black days i fell on''
I love Ed but he is no Chris Cornell.. Throwing Copper is one of my favorite albums of all time. Was supposed to see Live today At the MMRBQ person I was going with can't make it an I dont want to go alone.. SUCKS !! RIP Chris Cornell
nobody comes close. if anything, all these tributes have proven is that most of us are right in our thoughts that Cornell was the best rock singer ever. There really is no comparison to the beauty and range of the mans voice....other than maybe Roy Orbison.
Amazing. They played this only a few blocks from my house at the MAPFRE stadium. I could hear it in my backyard, wish I was there. I remember hearing the news on the radio and my life hasn't been the same since. I suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts. I go to these tribute videos and they help knowing that people might miss me as much as everyone misses Chris.
VarietyMusicLover he rejoined late last year they did a small show on New year's which is on their RUclips.. really glad he's back but sad Mister Sinn had to go.. I really liked The Turn
VarietyMusicLover I grew up listening to them from day one I even have some early public affection stuff, Chris brought something new and fresh to the band
hearing the news the day that we were leaving for Rock On The Range was absolutly devistating. to see the entire music industry share their grief with the rest of us lets the world know, NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF MUSIC! or the people who are gifted, sharing their gift with us. thank you Chris. God be with us all
Aw man this is great. Very considerate to dedicate a rendition to Chris Cornell. I am the highway is the best Audioslave song to me and it fits this situation. Thank you Chris Cornell.
I have gone down a rabbit hole this morning and found this -- how is it possible that one of my favorite bands ALSO loves this amazing song and they did this? And I didn't know! Perfect. Hitting replay.
^^this band right here, I respect and love even more, especially after this. what a wonderful tribute. For all those with depression and those whose loved ones have it, please don't ignore the signs and for fucks sake, do something about it! RIP Chris Cornell :'(
goanna83 I have a friend who was a DJ and introduced me to the voice of Chris Cornell, I realized I had heard it in the past played by others, but the DJ showed me depth and the soul of CC. I fear for people who think that suicide is a way to escape to heavenly shores.
Thank you Live..I just typed these lyrics on Facebook wall a few months ago and posted his Rusty cage video on my page a few days before his death! I don't usually do these things but had a moment. .Love you CC and often said you must run into the same kind of people I do bc your lyrics! May you Rest in peace! You beautiful man ,with a voice that blessed us all !
The thing about Chris is that, he always step up when it comes to providing great tributes to great artists. These kind of tributes are definitely deserving to him.
Finally... a well done Chris Cornell tribute. You can really tell when someone actually respects and admires the artist that they're covering. People say they can tell by my levels of emotion and intensity that I absolutely love the songs that I'm playing. I do a few from Soundgarden, Audioslave, AND Temple Of The Dog. And a couple from Live! Those songs save my life. It's hard to live when you're mind is so active. A lot more of us might still be around, if we could stop thinking so much. I guess that's why so many turn to drugs and etc.
R.I.P. Mr. Chris Cornell a rock legend. The greatest voice of of my generation and probably of all time. You will always be loved and greatly missed and never forgotten. Let your music live on forever.
the song itself is very powerful. I am the highway. I am the sky. I am the night. It fits in all perfectly. why wasnt he happy? why did he commit suicide? I dont know it will be as mysterious as the sky. as dark as the night. but his legacy will never end like the highway. I have been listening to this song all day, just trying figure it out.
Amazing lyrics that let us look into the Soul of one of the greatest story tellers an voices of music.. Your presence an Voice will be deeply missed .. Thank You for your beautiful mind.. Your music helped me threw some extremely dark times ... an for that I am forever grateful .. thank u for walking "The Highway" with me. \m/ \m/ 🍻
Beautiful tribute to an amazing musician. You can always expect nothing less than awesome performance from Live. It comes from their heart and you can feel and hear it
Man I remembered listening to audio slave when I was like 7. Like a stone is still one of my favorite songs of all time. It sucks to see that many of the kids my age (16) probably don't even know who Chris was. Deeply saddened. He will be missed.
WOW , THIS IS SO STRANGE ED KOWALCYZK PLAYING THIS AUDIOSLAVE SONG MAKES SO MUCH SENSE, ITS ALMOST LIKE AS IF ED AND LIVE WERE MEANT TO REUNITE IN 2017 , NOT KNOWING THAT SOUNDGARDEN WOULD LOSE CHRIS CORNELL. THIS IS SAD, BEAUTIFUL BUT SUCH STRANGE TIMING.
Finally...a proper tribute. Finally...a real singer. I've seen most of the tributes that have been popping out and they did Chris no justice. Only Live and Corey Taylor can actually pull it off. Update: I just saw the Living Colour version of Blow Up the outside World. All three of the aforementioned are awesome, but Living Colour really nailed it!
I'm an atheist and never in my life have I ever wished I am wrong more so than right now. I would love to meet Andy and Chris. Have you ever heard the story of Mr. Faded Glory? Say "He who ride the pony must some day fall."
ComaAlpha This might just be God prompting you to accept Jesus as your savior. Chris converted to Greek Orthodox and I recall Andy stating that he believed "like a holy roller". I'm totally being sincere with ya man. Take care.
ComaAlpha Chris committed suicide so he is technically according to some people's religion (not mine) I don't believe in religion because it is all created for monetary gain designed to monger fear so those who believe will shell out their hard earned money so they won't burn for eternity in someones idea of Hell. I don't believe in Heaven, Hell, God or the Devil, these are all just myths thought up by a very manipulative human being as a part of a get rich quick scheme or a pyramid scheme. Churches to me are nothing more than homes that the homeless cannot occupy so instead these people die of starvation out on the streets while these "Christians" sleep comfortably in their big fancy houses and count the money that they never earned. Members only... and the only ones who believe in God are the crazy ones in the white coats who commit you to an insane asylums that they own because you see or talk to ghosts. Makes sense right? Control the population.
Listening to Chris' song in Ed's voice... I am crying.
This tribute is probably one of the best I've heard yet.

Iv never heard someone say Chris's music impacted them badly or in a negative way.
My eyes are all watery now...cant believe he is gone. RIP Chris Cornell.
R.I.P Chris Cornell
Best tribute cover I have heard yet. I really hope a tribute/cover album of Chris Cornell's extensive catalog is done with various artists.
I think that will definitely happen. I think i heard Myles Kennedy would be open to something like that.

The Upper Room watch Stone Sour's tribute if u haven't.
i just saw that one, really well done. They're all wonderful tributes to a voice and songwriter that got me through a lot of shit

this loss hurts man. the guy had a voice and an ability to portray how he was feeling like no other musician out today. rest in peace chris and thanks for all the inspiration and getting me through the ''black days i fell on''
Thank you Live for the beautiful tribute to Chris. He will live on through the music forever 🎶
Pleased to see a tribute from the Audioslave years. People don't realize how brilliant Chris was with them.
Andrea Maes ...Yes, yes they do. Nobody slept on Audioslave.
Andrea Maes As both a Soundgarden and Audioslave fan, I actually prefer his songwriting in Audioslave. Plenty of epic stuff going on.
raboox9 Same here man. Personally I think Audioslave is better than both RATM and Soundgarden.
@@coltallic3114 listen to motor finger and super unknown you will realize
This is gonna take time to get over! Huge loss in music. Huge!
Amazing hearing my favourite singer sing my second favourite singers song
I love Ed but he is no Chris Cornell.. Throwing Copper is one of my favorite albums of all time. Was supposed to see Live today At the MMRBQ person I was going with can't make it an I dont want to go alone.. SUCKS !! RIP Chris Cornell

Joseph Robichaud Chris Cornell was great but he wasn't the best.
If you havnt listened to Live before, do yourself a favor and get the Throwing Copper album and then see for yourself!
Dan I've been listening to them since I was a kid lol Selling the Drama is one of my favorite songs.
thanks Live🙌🙌🙌The dark voice of Grunge floats in the landscape of silence....I miss you....

Damn this is good.
Rip Chris, thank you for some of the best music ever made.

This hit so hard. Live is one of my favorites and this song is my favorite Chris Cornell song. R.I.P.
What a pleasure to see Live perfoming (I thought they were not around anymore) and such a great song in memory of a ginormous soul! Wish I was there.

Great tribute. Beautiful.
