Depending upon yourself, you can become an elite BG but the civi police hate you although Tax and Nuclear will snap you.

Right you are! I loved the job {Inkerman Bks for me) and later joined the RACMP in Australia. A great career path and I still miss the job (at 81 yrs old). Exemplo Ducemus.

I'm RMP, yes there's lot of women in the RMP. There are plenty of women that go and do CP, the physical standards are still the same so you need to be pretty fit but it's not anything that isn't achievable. I know a lot of female rmp that have done CP have been snapped up by civvie contractors once they got out as they're really sought after.

Is there Fulltime regular RMP's based in Northern Ireland or has that been disbanded. Also just a question regarding the Barb test, I have gotten high enough at assessment for RMP I am in two minds between infintry and RMP, if I was to take infintry and do the 4 year contract could I then transfer to be an RMP and would your barb score stay with you throughout your career or would it require a new one. Thanks
If your BARB score is high enough for the RMP, DO NOT join the infantry. They are worlds apart.

I think rmp barb test needs to be 60 or 65. Can't remember which one my interview ar ac said it was.
Once you leave the army is it easy to get CP work?
Cani still join the RMP, if ive had run ins with the civilians police force but they got NFA
This you would have to speak to them directly as I guess it would depend on the severity of the run ins

Totally down to your preference, what you enjoy, what you want out of the army
What do u enjoy ?
Do you want a frontline role? If so infantry. Do you want a trade? Royal engineers , signals etc. Like the other lads said what you want out of the army. Make sure you make the decision don’t let anyone persuade you.

No as you have to be 18 to join rmp

No, once you have done Harrogate you have to do your phase 2 training at the defence school of policing and guarding at southwick, just north of Portsmouth.

How do you get in CP
I'm RMP, for my sins. Once you get to unit, if you're fit and let your chain of command known you're interested, you'll usually just get put into the course for it. Or you can put a letter in for it - it's not a hard course to get on there's a lot of spots.
