I really like the videos where you are repairing and fixing. You do a very good job of explaining the logic/mechanics of it, what, why, and how. I just wished you were running a 7.3 Super duty.
Good tips . A lot of people put a board on floor when bleeding with the pump method so the master is not over extended during bleeding . I like and use the gravity and or vacuum bleeding . I try to tell people if they are using the pump method , one slow pump , then open bleeder . One is moving air down the line not trying to build pedal . The quick repeated pumping , will cause brake fluid sudsing , then one never gets air out , unless one waits for the suds to go away which can take a long time . Good job on the video.
don't ya just love them older trucks. You can just climb up and sit in the engine compartment and work on them. Had a 74 f-250 where you could put a lawn chair, no computers or other fancy stuff. On my new one, I raise the hood and say mmmmmm and drag it off to my mechanic buddy :)

another way to bleed brakes is to put the hose from the bleeder into a container with some brake fluid inside, set the container higher than the bleeder, and open the bleeder and slowly pump the pedal, keeping a CLOSE eye on the master cylinder levels, when the level in the container raises noticeably, it should be good, if not repeat
for the bench bleed I didn't have the kit but I did have some old brake line and clear rubber hose and it worked fine when I did my CJ5 also its a good idea to have some one watch the fluid level in your master I was bleeding them on a sand rail and I ran it dry and had to start over it sucked real bad.
Nicely done. However it should be noted that brake fluid is highly corrosive. After installing the Master Cylinder , one should place either a can or sufficient rags under the unit to keep the corrosive brake fluid from coming in contact with other engine/body parts while bleeding the brake lines at the Master Cylinder fittings.
Do it like I do on my truck. Use SpeedBleeders on the calipers/wheel cylinders. These are one was ball check valves that replace the bleeder screws. fluid comes out when you pump the pedal, but air cannot get back in. I change my brake fluid every year, and these things make it easy.
A sure fire backup braking system i always recommend is the anchor Brake Mod. Hang you a 1000 lbs Anchor off the front of the truck with a quick release cable, next time the trusty old master cylinder gives out, drop the anchor and pray your front bumper holds. :)

E450 with a brake issue I found Tha master cylinder was bad so I got a new one I was bench bleeding it a few walked over and looked at me weird and asked what I'm doing I told them bench bleeding Tha master cylinder they said huh I've never heard of bleeding a master cylinder I looked at them weird then said huh lol
Very good information. Do you have any ideas on why the rear drum brakes on my cherokee do nothing when I step on the pedal? The brake pedal doesnt move the shoes at all but the parking brake handle will move them.
the auto adjusters never work. on the back side of the drum/ plate theres a rubber plug. pop that plug out theres a star gear in there. use a flat head screwdriver and adjust this. as the pads wear inside it's "supposed" to auto adjust but it never, ever works. one way will tighten the brakes, the other will loosen them. adjust the star gear a little, spin the wheel by hand, have someone else hit the brakes. when you can stop, youll have brakes again. remember youll have to do it again in the future caus it wont auto set
That Brake pedal is creaky like an old lady.. lol.. Glad you got everything sorted out! Could you have turned your parking brake into a E-brake to help prevent that uncontrolled roll back in case that happens again?
Mechanics learn the basics in a tech school. Experience while doing is where you learn the tricks of the trade never learned till you do it. Great mechanics have a lot of hours doing and remembering for the next time you do the same thing. In any trade you learn something every day or you are not working at all.
new trucks bend to damn easy. go crash a new truck into an old truck see what truck wins. my money is on good old dependable. plus why spend the loot on a new truck when these guys do this for fun not money. its not like the truck is paying for itself

What makes you even better put anti seize on the dreads of the bleeder screw

I am sure you know what you are doing. But there is a lot riding on those brakes. I just replaced mine with a new one for less than $40.00 at NAPA.
