Ah! I finally purchased Kavi for myself (in the name of supporting AG diversity, mainly) and I'm pleasantly surprised by how much more I like her in person than I had expected! I will be purchasing her Bollywood Dance and Performance outfits with my next reward point drop. Thank you for sharing this in such detail!
Kavi is so cute!! I wish they didn’t give her so many unflattering/cheap looking prints, especially when Hindi art and fashion is soooo full of GORGEOUS prints and patterns- they had so much to work with as inspiration!!
I, personally, wasn't an enormous fan of Kavi's collection, but I do agree that the bollywood dance outfit is amazing! I'm probably going to get that one eventually. The furry coat is almost the exact same as the one in the November birthstone outfit (aside from the color, obviously)! I agree that the blue color of the pajamas is stunning!!
It took me a while to warm up to some of the outfits for sure. The Bollywood dance costume has always been my favorite but seeing it in person makes it all the more beautiful so I would highly recommend it. And now I want the November birthstone outfit!
So, much like when I was a little girl, the Christmas gift I’m most excited for this year is an American Girl doll from my mom. She bought me Kavi and her Bollywood dance outfit and I can’t wait to put it on her! I also would really love to get her the gorgeous Diwali outfit but I keep hearing that it still stains so I’m afraid to get it.
I love that your mom gets you a doll.. mine actually doesn’t know I still collect. I’ve heard the same thing about the Diwali outfit and it’s the only reason I haven’t gotten it yet. I tend to keep my dolls in the same outfits for a while so that’s a dealbreaker for me.
Thank you for sharing her collection! I don't own Kavi or any of her outfits, but I think it's great to keep promoting her while it is still her year and not Lila's year yet. Hopefully people will see your video and decide to get more of her collection. :)
That is my hope! I do very much adore Lila and her collection, but I don’t want Kavi to be forgotten too soon! Lila’s collection is cohesive but Kavi’s is much more unique and has so much variety.
I love Kavi so much!! I'm not so keen on the majority of her outfits but I love her as a character and I definitely want to support her and the message of diversity. I have some of her things and I plan to get more this holiday season! ❤️
Her outfits are definitely very different, but I’ve warmed up to them especially seeing them in person. I love that you’re doing that. If we have the money it’s important to support things we believe in with it like diverse product lines, minority owned businesses, local businesses, etc.

Have you tried getting a long strip of velcro from the craft store? You just use the soft side and stick it to the sticky side of the velcro on the clothes when you first open the velcro to put it on the doll. I got this tip from someone inthe AG fandom and I never snag my doll outfits now! 😊
You make me want that fuzzy sweater outfit now 😂 But it is always you showing things and making me want them. I'm glad I somewhat convinced you on the pajamas because I think they are STELLAR ⭐️
Oh yes, the stock photos AG takes don’t seem to ever do the outfits justice. Seeing people unbox and interact with the items on a video is what ultimately convinces me either way. And you definitely convinced me on her pajamas! ⭐️⭐️

I already know my husband is getting me Nicki because I may or may not have helped pick her out at the store! 🤭 What’s on your list?!
Ooh Nicki is a great choice! How exciting! At the top of my list would be Truly Me 108 and 109 for dolls, and there are a few birthstone outfits I still want. My wishlist is so long and ever growing now that I have the space for the collection size I want.
@@EvelynRoseAG Thanks! I have Isabel, so I knew I'd have to get Nicki eventually! I have GOTY 2007 Nikki, and I didn't want 2 dolls with the same name, which is why I think I didn't get her sooner. I wish they didn't reuse names! Ooh, 108 is so cute! I hope you get one of those for Christmas! 🤩
Unfortunately, Kavi and her collection are just not my style. It made me sad because I have been hoping for a girl if Indian descent for awhile. I got tired of waiting and my 47 is now my beautiful Suri. I was very excited about the Bollywood outfit when it was first released but after seeing it in person, I passed. I may rethink my decision later, but the outfits that I’ve made my Suri have more than satisfied my desire for beautiful Indian clothing. I’m happy that her collection is attractive to other people and I hope AG sells lots more of it. I just don’t feel that I should be spending my money on things that I don’t love just to show support.
