Yeah, I’m at a loss, too. Several of my old Pleasant Company dolls (especially Josefina) have such faded eyebrows, I can barely see them. I know I need to go over them with a dark watercolor pencil, or something, but it seems almost too scary to try (and that’s with a pattern I want to keep- can’t even imagine doing a new design). But I’m sure it can be done! Doll faceup artists, lend us your wisdom.

It pays off! You do a great job. It gives me a little boost of confidence to try this on some of my TLC dolls.

I love that you did this (and also, I love that the Cinderella doll was not LE, which made it more accessible for you to buy her to customize). Getting to replicate our own freckles, moles, etc does so much to really make our mini-me dolls a better match than AG could ever do. Thanks for sharing!
I learned so much from this video! Your freckling was so perfect to me. A suggestion for the eyebrows: I did this with my dark skin Claudie doll, but I think it would work on your doll. After removing the eyebrows with acetone, I used a PIGMA MICRON 01 sepia color pen from an art store. It cost under $3.00 for the single pen. The size (01) worked perfectly and the darkness of the lines can vary depending on how firmly you press. The pigment is waterproof and fade proof, but you can wipe it off with your finger before it dries. It’s a little tricky getting both eyebrows the same, but they were much easier than doing lips! I was able to follow Claudine’s brow ridge for placement. If your doll doesn’t have prominent brows, you might want to lightly pencil in the exact line to follow.

I’m not an artist nor do I repaint doll faces, but some of the really nice customs that I’ve seen have small vertical lines in the lip paint. Also, maybe they’d look more natural with a bit of gloss. I like the color and shape of them. I think she looks great! Obviously I don’t know what you actually look like, but the doll looks great!
I think I do want some gloss on her, actually. I found that I liked the color before it dried. I’ve tried using a gloss mod podge on top and wasn’t happy with it. I would love to figure out how to get them smoother, too. I’ll figure it out eventually, I’m sure!

Her freckles and cheek color look so pretty and I really like her lips. I'm so amazed that you got that wig to look basically brand new and it looks so much like your hair. I love the top she has on too, as it looks great with her eyes. I would either call her "Mini Evelyn" or something like Evalina. Grace is my mini-me, so I didn't rename her, but just kept her as Grace. Or you could call her Cindy as a nod to her base doll, or some combination like Cindalyn. :) Thanks for sharing her transformation! That was wonderful. :)

Mine needs a new wig, but I cannot bear to take her apart. I eventually took a liking to her dry beachy waves lol. I am the same person who gets upset throwing smiling cute things or pictures in the trash.
