In a music world where indifference towards pop success can bolster cred, Bella Latham admits her desire for superstardom. “Since I was 11, I just ruthlessly wanted to be the biggest artist in the world,” she’s said. Further proof of her nonchalant cool: she openly idolizes Taylor Swift. That refreshing honesty, which permeates lyrics covering everything from social observations to accounts of crazed parties, has endeared a steadily growing fanbase. Arriving in London from her South African home, she spent a few years finding her footing, and herself.
