Oh my goodness. My hubby is a guitar player and has a little smaller case for his guitar picks. I told him, hmmm, I think I could make these. Thank you for this tutorial. Perfect timing. I think I might try to embroider an initial on it.
Hi Christine, you’re a mind reader ! I bought vinyl yesterday to make small gift bags that can be repurposed for holding women small make up items in their handbags .I know I will have left over ….so this video comes just in time for me to use leftover vinyl. Thanks for showing us how to create the template. At Amazon , the template is unavailable so it’s not in stock for now. I prefer making my own following your instructions cause I am not a seller ….I make things for family and friends. This is great for holding earbuds that I can clip to my bag . Great stocking stuffers for my nieces and nephews , they can clip this to their jeans belt loop to hold earbuds , coins. Great video !!!
Great video the pattern looks like ET 😁 bought some craft vinyl from a shop got it out of the package a few days later and it is sticky on the back it is more like a contact but thin there was nothing written on the packing saying it has sticky on the back was not very happy about it but i will work with it going to let the place that i bought it from not saying it has sticky on the back. thanks Christine great little project
Hello Christine. I only use my phone for calls, texting, and research on Google. I never use it for anything involving finances - so I need something to contain coins for parking meters. These are perfect. And I like to have a key fob of some sort - makes it so much easier to locate the keys when they slip to the bottom of a deep bag. Really simple, useful design. E❤
I have a BROTHER Scan n Cut cutting machine i use it so much in conjunction to my sewing weather it be felt , vinyl iron on , stick on vinyl or leather and faux vinyl. It has paid for itself many times over.
They do look like ornaments Reba. They're too small for gift cards, but I did another vinyl card holder that would suit. ruclips.net/video/C97Lsg5FVAU/видео.htmlsi=Os-m1tVakYp9R30u

Zingy talented and reactive. I will make this for Christmas gifts. Mega thanks. K in Canada
Thanks kathleen. Happy sewing!😀
When sewing leather, it's always visually nice to use a bigger stitch and a somewhat thicker threat.
Thanks Katrien. I agree the thicker thread does look much nicer😁
I’ve got a roll of vinyl and I think I’ll make me some for my friends. ❤
That sounds like a great plan Elayne😁
What a cute little pouch. I think I might have made one similar and used it to hold earbuds.
That's a great idea to use them for earbuds Rebecca😊
That’s the purpose I was thinking… ear pods.

So cute and useful. I'll have to retrieve fabrics from my scrap bin. 😅
It's certainly a great use for scraps Gaye😀
I love them ❤️

Great for using up some of my vinyl scraps. I have a cricut machine - I really need to work out how to do this

Thanks Susie😀
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure Cynthia. Thank you😀
❤❤❤
Thanks Arvetta😀
Your thumbnail screen shot reminds me of Christmas ornaments. Are these little coin pouch big enough to hold a gift card? Thanks.
They do look like ornaments Reba. They're too small for gift cards, but I did another vinyl card holder that would suit. ruclips.net/video/C97Lsg5FVAU/видео.htmlsi=Os-m1tVakYp9R30u
All you need are some ears and you’ll have a koala 🐨
How cute would that be Fran😀
I love these! Great tutorial, thank you. Did you say you used plastic snaps on these bags? Also, what is the tool youre using to install snaps?
Yes they are plastic snaps, though you could use metal too. I don't have a name for the tool. It came with the snaps😀
@ChristinesHomeAffairs thank you for your reply!
❤
Thanks Sheila😀
Did you use heavier thread or basic sewing thread? Are the holes in the Amazon template used for blanket stitch around the outside edges?
Nancy, I think the holes are for those that use heavier leather and hand stitch. I imagine you could use them for blanket stitch as well. I use regular sewing thread for mine😀
I apologize if you've answered this and I missed it - but wondering what thread weight you used for your adorable little pumpkin pouches.
Kathryn, I used regular Gutterman polyester thread😀
@ thanks for the info. Much appreciated
Could you use cork fabric
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Don’t see why not. As long as the fabric was supple enough to fold.
Yes, I have.
Mine was a bit flimsy, so I went with vinyl and leather. (Faux cork)@debbiekollar7508
I've never sewn with cork Janine, but it's such a small piece of fabric, I'd give it a go😊
I bet they could be made from felt, too.
That's a great idea Barbara😀
I just checked on Amazon for the template, but could not locate it. What item name do you use for this project template? K in Canada
A few sellers on Amazon seem to be out of stock now, but search for Dumpling pouch template. If you're a Temu shopper, they have it there too, and possibly Ebay
The template is showing as unavailable on Amazon UK. I am no good at drafting my own.
Just go slowly Sandra. Practicing on paper is a great way to get the curves right before playing with the vinyl😀
Pooh, the template is not available 😢
It looks like they've sold out everywhere. I do know Temu have them if you purchase from them😀
Why didn't you stitch around the whole pouch?
It didn't look nice on the single layer Eileen😀
If I was watching tv while cutting anything out,I can guarantee something would end up not being where it should be 😅 🇭🇲🦜🦘
Haha, that's a very good point Kim😁
