I am glad to have been part of the redesigning of Mwea Irrigation Scheme, including the Thiba Dam. It is wonderful. Thank you Chams for the consistent positive Journalism. Keep up with this. It is the attitude this country needs.

Mwea needs to introduce fish with rice. The fish will be a double income. Infact fish fertilize the soil meaning less use or no need of chemical fertilizers. The fish can also eat snails that affect rice production. With a dam there will be constant water for the fish. When the rice matures the fish can be harvested. This is done in asian countries

The dams that would have been built in the nandi region would have helped the locals in that area. But it helped just a few individuals. Those locals should use this as an example of who their real enemy is.

@@rodneyagesa1851 only a fool thinks that rutos office has any powers to run any project, kiwarer was under a ministry ( water and irrigation) they were the implementing authority , if a contract is signed its by them , whenit comes to payment rutos office doesnt pay for any national government project , payments are prosessed through the treasury / .so the question is who paid for the project , who approved the payments and who chose the contractor ,essentially who is the implememting authority . if you know your constitution very well you would know that the dp doesnt run any ministry. but you are refusing to see the truth or you have been brain washed to think otherwise.
