    This is what kenyans want n not BBI or stupid politics. Hope the kenyan government provide health centers every 1km within the community, schools, housing and all those should be for free or paying a small amount of money. Also the government should help the famers with seeds, water tractors n also to control importing food from outside the country, the government should empower their citizens. Am very thankful n grateful to the government seeing those people's smile n being happy n am happy to see humans happy.

    • @amackzie
      @amackzie 4 года назад +1

      BBI seeks to unite the country. From being divided along ethnic lines. 10yrs after BBI, we will be united as one tribe and language, eliminating differences on stupid ideologies like tribe. This will enhance leadership, as people will vote in better leaders, which will in turn accelerate our country to prosperity.
      We even got invited to the USA to speak about BBI, a first in Africa, and a model for others to follow.
      Before we had devolution, we had tribes complaining about service delivery. We even had secessionist movements, now communities have power in their own hands and blame bad leadership on themselves. Because of this, communities see a future in their own hands and these movements have died down.

    93 bore holes in 90 days? I feel so happy to see this documentary but hurt at the same time to realise that such a noble undertaking was actually possible even before Coronavirus save for corruption perpetuated by the City Hall cartels. Thanks to the leadership of Uhuru government for establishing the NMS and sadly, thanks to the coronavirus itself courtesy of which these poor brothers and sisters can now access this basic commodity of clean water.

  • @SolomonMaina22
    @SolomonMaina22 4 года назад +3

    Development is not Rocket Science! It's common sense issues. To solve water problem, just sink boreholes, build tanks, pump up water, and supply it to the residents. As simple as that. They have done 90 boreholes in three months, with overhead tanks, functioning. Kidero or Sonko could have done this long time ago.
    It proves that even phasing out all these slums, is the same common sense and practical approach. Relocate some residents and give them somewhere to stay. Construct high rise buildings, after they are finished, bring them back. By then, there is enough space for more. Bring them in. Demolish their houses. Build more, and the cycle continues. Within a few years, slums become history.
    Development and improvement of peoples lives is NOT as complicated as leaders want us to believe. They complicate things so that they can STEAL money.

    Sometime back someone said they were going to sink 40 boreholes in 3 months, Badi and his team did 93 within the same period and they are all functioning. Up to date i have never seen the 40 boreholes that were touted to bring in 20 million liters per day within the informal settlements. Someone also acquired 2 water drilling machines in 2015 to sink borehole for the guys in the informal settlement, despite getting elected i have never heard o fany borehole that was sunk by him using those 2 machines. The hustlers were dupped by all those publicity gimmicks. Go on BADI but dont hand over the boreholes to Nairobi water lest we go back full circle to a shit storm again

    The most important issue to focus on is sustainability. There are too many boreholes being sunk without a proper hydrological study. The aquifers that these boreholes draw from may soon run dry, mostly in the dry season. This is in the backdrop of degraded catchments like the Ng'ong forest and the neglect of arguably the most important wetland in Nairobi, the Ondiri swamp, which recharges some of the city aquifers. The issue of water should be approached using a multi-sectoral method and not one dimension as is the case right now.

    Now this is progress 🇰🇪 is capable of doing so much more but the leaders voted 🗳 in are the ones that stall progress. This is what happens when good leadership takes over & the Govt working to better the lives of it’s people. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

    So all this can be done in 100 days and yet we have been letting them suffer year after year! So what else can be done to improve our lives and isn't being done? People are intentionally holding us back! Shame!

    Very happy with this. It should have been done a long time ago. Every Kenyan should have access to water. This is a country elected people are spending millions on private jets to go to Dubai. Yet some people don't have water or food. Great job by NMS.
