Argyle definitely raises some questions. Like why was Henry Cavill presented as the star of this movie when he’s in it for just a few minutes? How many twists is too many twists? What does The Division even do? Why did they let her publicly share their secrets for half a decade? What’s that cat doing here?

Well I’m not saying you need to watch the movies to find these videos funny, but they’re not a substitute for knowledge on the movie. You can’t say “oh yeah I know all about this movie” to someone and then add “I watched the pitch meeting parody on it” and expect to seem legitimate

When the twist of Ellie being the real Argylle came up, I genuinely didn’t see it coming. After my surprise, my first thought was, “wait, if the books are just her memories and not her predicting events, then why is it so important that she writes the next chapter?”
The part with her needing to write the next chapter is right at the beginning. She doesn't regain memories of her former life until quite late in the movie.

@@tobellous5364 sorry to be so direct, but you kinda asked for it: should definitely watch more non US movies and shows and maybe read a book from time to time; it is NOT normal to put every information into dialog and monolog; yes, US show writers usually punish their audience for not switching their brains off or doing drugs before switching on the TV but that is no reason not to try to read between the lines or understand subtext... And this movie didn't have subtext

I actually enjoyed this movie, because I've watched the pitch meeting beforehand so I already know all the twists and I can just enjoy the action.
My sister didn't watch pitch meeting and she left the theatre completely confused.

I love how the movie looks so bad that Matthew Vaughn is trying to gaslight people into not believing it cost $200 million (jail for whoever gave Cavill that haircut)
Maybe I'm the oddball here but Cavill's square-cut appearance was the one aspect of the movie that I thought was perfectly implemented.
That figure has been misreported: 200 million is what Apple spent to acquire the finished film.
I thought the same about that haircut: was he awake when the hairdresser was working on him at 5AM?
Or did they just think a Terminator hairdo would make him look tough?

Yes Apple spent $200 million to acquire it, but that was paying back Vaughn what his production company funded it for (this is supported by THR reporting that some sources say the film actually cost $250 million to make, different numbers wouldn’t be out there for simply a rights purchase)

If I am interested in a movie at any level, I wait to watch it before watching its Pitch Meeting because it becomes funnier than way and also to avoid spoiler. This movie, for example, had a number of them which I enjoyed immensely.
There's a section in the heart where it's totally ok to shoot through it. Love the awkward pause after that 🤣🤣
Yeap, that one line make me not want to watch the movie, like I don't mind a lot of fictional stuff, but getting shot in the heart and walking away in something that isn't Sci fi, fentasy, or animation is simply a no go for me

One of the funniest pitch meetings in a while. It touched on every gripe I had with this movie. As soon as I saw Ellie was wearing the same necklace as Dua Lipa I was like “oh so she’s a spy” lol

Argyle is a superspy. But killed too early cuz guardian angel reasons. So sent back to earth as a cat to finish the spy mission. And maybe get closure on personal stuff.
Cat does a back flip, breaks bad guy's neck and saves the day.
Maybe villain is a Giraffe (the neck breaking!) because now that Argyle is a cat, movie morphs into all the people are animals.

As we all know from movies, if something is not fatal, that means you can just walk it off right away no problem.
I saw that and while I doubted very much that there's a part of the heart where you can be shot and be fine, even if you did and it was a through and through, I mean, holy crap, the dude still had a bullet go through his chest, through his heart, and exit out his back. He would be in tremendous pain and bleeding uncontrollably. He would need medical treatment and be off his feet for several days at least.@@redenavari

As an amateur writer and lover of Henry 🥰. I really liked the movie. The smoke shoot-out was so pretty it made me happy lol. The skating scene was super super ridiculous and all I could focus on was how clean her knees were after kneeling in black oil. Too many plot swist but still entertaining. The heart shot was way too ridiculous as well.
That was the outro I needed Ryan!

He was talking to Samuel L Jackson’s character, Alfred. Supposedly his thing about putting a bullet in her head was him joking, saying she was annoying him. At least that’s how I took it, but yeah, it was only there to make the audience think she could't trust him for a few minutes of screentime
