LUKE! It IS a glorious day! Thanks for requesting this. I heard you are maybe working on getting a full album reaction to this?! I’ll happily donate to the cause, just say the word! Rory- you’re going to melt when you hear this album in full. It’s the best album ever, imo, and it’s been in that spot since 1997. I picked it up on the day it was released and it changed my music world immediately. Cheers!
Wish you would do the song You live in pink pop 1996 it's a harder side to them great song fun concert also something really different and haunting but beautiful.Like spinning plates both live beautiful piano version and studio version ate awesome 👍
Banger of a tune and Banger of an album - still my pick 25 years later for best of all time by anyone. Hearing for the first time even in the midst of all the amazing music from many genres all around in the 90s - this one felt like a musical taser to the brain, if a taser delivered dopamine and seratonin and chills with every song. No DAWs on this, just ED, guitarist #2, strumming the strings above the nut between the frets and the tuning pegs - come on Rory you should know by now how they do! That being said, fast forward 3 years to ;Kid A' and the computers became the new addition to the band - members took computer programming classes and such....that's why they are who they are. A better example of a tremolo guitar effect in a song I am unaware of - if anyone knows one, I'd like to hear it. This is the specific song I point people to to hear what that pedal is meant to sound like used properly, or expertly in this case.
Yeah, "Lucky" and "The Tourist", awesome closing tracks to a phenomenal album. This one gets Pink Floyd comparisons. For me, it's Radiohead all the way.
"Pablo Honey" album in '93, "The Bends"' in '95, "OK Computer" in '97.. Then "Kid A" had a lot of fans confused. One of their best albums though. Amnesiac, Hail To The Thief, In Rainbows, The King of Limbs, A Moon Shaped Pool, so much material still to request here 🤪
This album is loaded with amazing tracks, but the final 3, No Surprises, Lucky and The Tourist are my favorites and a spectacular way to end the record.
For me Radiohead are the only band who can sit beside The Beatles and Pink Floyd and even then I don't think The Beatles and Floyd can match their output, sure they may have songs that are 'better' to the majority of people or better known songs for the casuals but Radiohead / The Smile / Thom / Jonny have about 100+ songs between them that are just pure and utter class, The Beatles and Floyd have maybe about 60 between both of them.

Ive always known and enjoyed Radiohead songs but, never paid a lot of extra attention to them. Not sure why, I've liked every song I've heard... 🎉🎉

One of my top 5 bands....beatles being top ❤
You should listen to the entire discography. Happy New Year legend! And listen to Beck album Sea Change.
Their best album so far. One of the greatest rock album of history, the same level than the Beatles, Pink Floyd, The rolling stones.
